Tried this place with some friends and I was pretty impressed overall! We came in March and they were doing a buy one noodles dish and get the second 50% off so we naturally took advantage of that. For a starter, we got the Korean cauliflower, which was pretty tasty. It was crispy and had the just the right kick, which balanced the sweet sesame -soy glaze. For my main, I ordered the pad thai. It wasn't the best I've had, but it was passable. My husband ordered the dan dan noodles and while not entirely traditional, I definitely enjoyed it way more than the pad thai and would get it again. I wish you could do half stars and I would have given Ling' a 4.5 stars. Not quite a 5 star meal experience but it was really good. Went here with Scottsdale family because my sister-in-law really likes this place. Funny thing is, she orders the same thing every time she goes. Me, I am more a variety kinda guy, and they have a pretty good variety of dishes. Personally I had the Kung Pao. I was a good lunch serving, and I finished it off. I added chicken as the protein. With all of the other dishes, I would surely return and try some of the other offerings. Nobody left hungry for sure and the others in our party all took some leftovers home. read more

I had the blazing Kung Pao chicken bowl, full of chicken,broccoli, red onions, red bell peppers, rice and a very tasty kung pao sauce. The sever was very friendly, and it wasn't a long wait for my to go order. There is a very nice open patio so you can eat in or outdoors. I am so glad that I found Ling's while waiting for my car to charge! The service was super friendly, prices were not too expensive, and the food was delicious! I let the guy at rhe counter know that I was looking for a dish with vegetables and he recommended one of their signature dishes that came with not only that, but chicken topped with chopped peanuts. Despite the rain I decided to check out their spacious patio that managed to have a few dry spots. I waited for my food, which did not take long to come out and it was pipping hot. Every bite of my dish had hints of sweetness and savory sauce. I like that it came with fluffy Jazmine rice which complemented the sauce and other ingredients well. It did have vegetables, but I just wish it had a few more, especially broccoli. When I am in the North Scottsdale area this will be my spot. read more

I had been to Ling's Wok Shop before it and loved it but last week was disappointed with our order to say the least. My fiancé and I ordered for pickup on Uber Eats. We called before we ordered and asked if there were any peanuts in the Dan Dan Noodz, since my fiancé has a peanut allergy. They assured us there were no peanuts, so we went ahead and ordered two orders of Dan Dan Noodz. My fiancé began eating before I opened up my container, and to my surprise, I realized he had eaten heaping forkfuls of not Dan Dan Noodz but Pad Thai. He has avoided peanuts his entire life, so naturally, he was unaware until I caught sight of his meal. We then had to rush to urgent care. Sadly disappointed in Ling's Wok Shop, and will not eat there again--not worth risking another allergic reaction. :( read more

My family and I recently dinned here and had a great time. The servers were very friendly and helpful, we also enjoyed the overall ambiance of the dinning space. While there we ordered the Korean cauliflower and it tasted great. As someone who doesn't like cauliflower I thoroughly enjoyed it as it tasted more like chicken and aioli sauce. We also all happened to order the same meal, Kung Pao, in various forms. I got the beef and my family got the chicken and tofu. We all loved our versions and I highly recommend you try it out. so tasty! My husband has celiac and so we are always looking for new gluten free restaurants. This did not disappoint! It was so yummy. We drove 45 minutes from where we live and it was worth it for us. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and most important- the food was delicious! Honestly, this place wasn't great. The atmosphere was vibrant but the concept was confusing-- counter order during lunch and full-service at night. The staff seemed very flustered and it took a while to receive our dishes. The only good food dish was the Lettuce Wraps, everything else was mediocre. The Pad Thai specifically was very watery. We order items for pick up about every other week when we have a late work shift. We have been able to try many of the menu items and have always found the 'to go' packaging containers of high quality no leaks, chop sticks and napkins/plasticware and soy sauce always supplied. My only complaint is no fortune cookies but we solved that by buying a box of fortune cookies from Frys Asian section as we always have fun reading our fortunes. Tonight's selections were the spicy pork lettuce wraps and the Chicken Spicy Thai Basil, both were excellent, loved the perfect heat (spice) and ample portions. We time our orders so always pick up fresh and take home still hot. The service has always been friendly and efficient in ensuring our orders are correct. We went on Father's Day and there was a special where dads ate free - love that promotion! We didn't find out until it was too late to make a reservation so we sat outside. The inside is quite small, there are maybe 8 tables total some of which are just two tops. The outside is not ideal for summer - the shade only goes halfway down and only in a few parts of the perimeter. There are only two misters and on opposite sides of the patio. If you go for dinner, like 5:45-7pm, there is sun everywhere. There was a little breeze so it was fine enough but definitely sweating a little. I had the mandarin chicken and it was the first time I've been able to have a crispy orange chicken dish that's gluten free, so I very much appreciated it! There was a good amount of chicken. It was a sweeter dish so some more umami would've been nice but overall I enjoyed my food. My parents both got the miso salmon. My mom liked it more than my dad but my dad is a harsh critic. I tried a bite and thought it had good flavor. My sister got the spicy Thai basil dish with tofu - I tried it.... Way too spicy for me. My sister likes spicy and thought it was the perfect spice at first but then had to stop eating it half way through because it got too spicy! But she enjoyed it overall. The service was a little slow but maybe we noticed it more because we were a little hot. Friendly staff though! Overall, the food was pretty good and if we were inside I think the experience would have been more enjoyable - and that's on us for not having a reservation! read more

Living in Scottsdale, I've found that there's a scarcity of good Asian places. I was so excited to see this new place pop up and also happened to check it out on a Monday where all entrees get a free soup or cucumber salad! We chose the soup and it was okay, not a ton of flavor - had good size chunks of chicken and just some rice in what seemed like chicken broth. We were given suggestions of pad thai and street noodlez at the register, so we decided to try those. I love pad thai and was so excited to try the "New Wave Pad Thai" - but ultimately wasn't too impressed. The flavor was almost felt a bit muted, but I appreciated the amount of protein on the dish with it coming with shrimp and also chicken. Service was a bit off this evening. Slow to get us water, slower even on beverages. We started with dumplings and calamari and were disappointed with the size of the servings - 5 dumplings for $12? They were not gigantic and the sauce was way too salty. There were maybe 15 various sized pieces of fried calamari with a spicy drizzle on top of shredded lettuce to fill the bowl. The king pao chicken was very tasty with whole dried red chilies. The spicy pork lettuce wraps were too sweet and not spicy enough until I added some of the chilies from the kung pao. There has been a significant improvement over the last several visits in the speed of service. Thank you for being receptive to my feedback previously.. the food has been prepared, lightning fast and it's fresh and delicious. The Shanghai noodles with the New York strip is by far my favorite on the menu . Today is such a chilly day that I also had a cup of the chicken and rice soup. The staff is always friendly and welcoming yet remains inattentive. I was never offered a refill on my drink for instance which would have been nice ! Went to Ling's on Father's Day. This restaurant has very little seating indoor but larger outdoor patio. Couldn't sit inside so sat outside and the partial shade still meant for a sweaty meal. The service was slow but the meals were generous in size and tasty. One of us ordered a spicy meal and it was off the charts spicy even if that's what you love. They have a ton of gluten free fried options and gluten free sauces which is awesome because there are not a lot of Asian restaurants that offer a lot of options. A good portion of the menu is gluten free or can be gluten free modified. You order at the counter and they have some seating and you can also get to go.
