Quality elevated sushi restaurant in a neighborhood strip mall. Straight forward rolls with a good taste. Server did their best to keep up on a busy weekend night.

    Sashimi Lunch Box $15.95

A few coworkers and I wanted to try something out of our norm for lunch so we decided to give Samurai Sushi a try. We arrived around 11:15am, were promptly seated and our server, Annie was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was not overly busy and the available seating areas were clean/orderly. I decided on the 7-piece Sashimi Lunch Box for $15.95. In my opinion, this is a bit pricy for a lunch item. The Lunch Box is served with miso soup, house salad, fried rice, clear noodle/seaweed salad, and cucumber squid salad. My meal was delicious and was presented well; however, I was still hungry when I left. My coworkers ordered (1) Any Two Rolls ($11.95); (2) Chicken Tempura Lunch Box ($11.95), and (3) Teriyaki Steak Lunch Box ($19.95). Once again, everyone was happy with their meals, but were still hungry when leaving. So, for the four of us to dine in, our bill came to $67.14 minus tip. Annie was great, so obviously we tipped 20% brining our bill near $80.00. All-in-all if you are not on a budget and can afford to spend roughly $20 per person to have lunch here, I recommend giving Samurai Sushi a try. The food was delicious, service was great, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Although I enjoyed my experience here, I cannot make it a staple for lunch. I can go down the road a piece to Tomasino's, order their lunch special for $8-$9 and walk out stuffed for the rest of the day; there is no comparison. Regardless, I would definitely return to Samurai Sushi in the future they have a good thing going; however, I might just visit on special occasions.

Freshest, most custom made sushi you will find and locally owned. Service is phenomenal and the attention from the staff is second to none!!

I dropped by here for lunch as I was heading from Longwood to Heathrow. The atmosphere was for me more to a darker old world feel. I was greeted right away away when I entered and told being single I could seat where enter I wanted. The menu seemed to me to have a large selection. I decided on the 3 Roll lunch with Miso Soup. I had the Dynamite Roll, Alaskan Roll and the Salmon Avocado Roll. All 3 Rolls were very good and the service was spot on.

We always enjoy eating here the food is always fresh and delicious only one time they mess up on our today order. They have a happy hour menu special on sushi. The last time we went we try different dishes. Both were delicious.

I was craving Sushi and saw that Samurai Sushi has a lunch special. The deal was 3 sushi rolls with a salad or soup, for $10.95. The restaurant is bigger than I thought, and I guess that not many people know about this special because it wasn't packed. I ordered the Crunchy roll, special eel roll, and shrimp cucumber roll with a house salad. The salad was ok, nothing too special. The sushi was good, but not great. The Crunchy roll stood out to me the most. My wife got the chicken teriyaki lunch Bento Box and I was kinda jealous. She had her teriyaki chicken breast, with fried rice, house salad, and clear noodles. Definitely something I'd try, if I were to visit for lunch again. They have a happy hour from 5pm-7pm, along with sushi bar seating so you can see all the sushi artistry go down, or swing down some sake at the bar.

Sat here for almost 15 minutes the place is not busy whatsoever BUT I am the only BLACK person in here and somehow some way they continue to walk past me not even offer me a drink of water! Very horrible it's 2022 get over you fckn racist ways bastards !

The atmosphere here is cosy and the food was really good. This is a good place to eat in my opinion. The sushi was also able to be customized, so that was pretty cool. I came with some friends and i consider coming here to try again.

Great place. Quickly seated. Food arrived quick. The cowboy steak was perfectly cooked, I got medium. Just the right amount of tenderness. 16oz. Massive portion. Wings were deep fried / lemon pepper. Loved it. The sashimi was fresh. Host was friendly. The lady who sat us down was rude though, took 1 start off for that.

I have Samaria one last try but paying $16 for this just isn't worth it. Mikados and Yabi give way more sushi for this price.

Sushi was disgusting. Everything inside it was obviously old. Just threw away about half of it, the other half was chewed and spit out.

They have a coffee tasting area where you can samle several coffee blends and purchase one to go if you like. Staff here are friendly and helpful. The checkout line moves quick even when they are busy and they have more than one checkout clerk unlike Walmart and Winn Dixie. The store is very clean and organized. Their steaks are also phenomenal. The Fresh Market is a fantastic option in terms of an upscale supermarket. First of all, ambiance is spectacular. This place is simply, but effectively, done up from floor to ceiling with Peruvian vibes. When we learned that they are part of the Don Julio restaurant group, it all made sense. Their restaurants are always dressed to the nines. Very luxurious and fun. Their service was just as spectacular. Our guy was very attentive all night long, the bussers were very prompt and were checking in on us, too, and the manager himself came over and checked in with us, twice! We felt the love all night. Excellent service. As for the food, let's get into it. Apps Empanadas de Lomo Saltado (Golden empanadas filled with wok-fired beef tenderloin, red onions, scallions, and melted mozzarella; served with a garlic cilantro aioli). Nice little empanadas that were crisp and well-filled, and they came with a pungent aioli. I will say, I also had the chance to try the hummus and the ceviche, as well. Those two are better apps, if you're a couple trying to decide. I myself couldn't help myself and I got the updated app, the Ponle Corazón (peruvian street food icon, char-grilled beef hearts brushed with smoky anticuchera sauce; served with roasted Andean potatoes, choclo, and rocoto huacatay crema +$5). They're right. I've been to Peru, and beef heart was everywhere. It was so nice seeing this item as an option on a MDM menu. For only $5 more, I couldn't resist. This heart was so well-cooked. Tender, beautiful grill lines, slightly smokey from the glaze. And accompanied by that lovely crema and those huge, beautiful kernels of Peruvian corn. Loved this. Mains Causa Limeña (ají amarillo and lime potato purée with acevichada shredded chicken, charred avocado, and huancaína sauce, finished with botija olive mayo, anticuchera aioli, avocado mousseline, scallions, and soft-boiled quail egg). This was a fun dish. It's cold, with the chicken being very similar to chicken salad. The mash was very bright and flavorful, and with purple dots here, green dots there, and those luscious quail eggs, this one was a lot of fun. Quinoa Capón (Peruvian tri-colored quinoa and wok-sautéed fried rice with shrimp, mushrooms, snow peas, bean sprouts, red peppers, and scallions, garnished with wonton strips). Fried rice/quinoa with tons of veggies. Huge, plump shrimp, this dish was simple, but it was a winner. I loved it. I am just realizing, though, and I didn't get any wonton strip garnish, so just keep an eye on that. Desserts Alfajores (traditional Peruvian sandwich cookies filled with dulce de leche). These were incredible. Soft cookies made into a sandwich with a dulce de leche inside that wasn't just a sugar bomb. It had a deep, rich, caramelly flavor and texture. Really great cookies. Merengon (classic sponge cake soaked in a blend of three milks, topped with baked meringue, diplomat cream, red berries, and a mix berries reduction). A very good version of tres leches, and On Top was a crispy, soft and chewy meringue. I couldn't believe my taste buds. They took tres leches, and made it even better. A really fun way to end the meal. Overall, wow, this was the best Magical Dining meal I've had in years. I'm not kidding. The menu is so vast, I can see myself coming back very soon to try everything else.
