Salmon Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Tuna Roll, Alaska Roll

I've ordered from here lots of times and eaten in the restaurant as well. The staff here are so nice. The inside of the restaurant is very cute, I love the decor. They play good music here too! Me and my boyfriend got the lunch special here. They have good prices! We got the Salmon Roll, Alaska Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, & a Tuna Roll. The sushi here is really good! Tastes fresh and well executed. I really liked their Spicy Salmon Roll and the regular Salmon roll. Salad was standard and the Miso soup was pretty good. We ended our meal with a Tempura Cheesecake, wow this thing was huge! Biggest tempura cheesecake I've ever been served at a Japanese restaurant. It was delicious too! They fried it so we'll, very crispy. They used good cheesecake and it held up after being fried, it wasn't all melted. I love coming here for the sushi! The hibachi here is pretty good as well. I definitely recommend you check this place out.

    Great seating!

Highly recommend this restaurant! The server was friendly and helpful with suggesting food items to try. The sushi is fresh and delicious. For those who want other options, the teppanyaki selection was highly recommended by my wife! It wasn't crowded, and we had the choice of seating. Good place good food good service!

The food tasted amazing, great flavors, and so many different selections at fantastic prices they even had my favorite beer Asahi.

When we arrived the restaurant was not busy and we were sat immediately. Everything was clean including the restroom. Our server was kind and answered all questions with no issues. Unfortunately they were out of the beer I wanted to try but they had a few others to choose from. The clear soup was tasty and the salad was standard. The scallop hibachi was good, but the scallops were not the star. They were slightly overcooked and rubbery but everything else was full of flavor so I overlooked it. Overall pretty tasty and would definitely try them again but get something else.

It was really good and the service was excellent and the food comes out extremely fast

    Spicy Scallop Nigiri

I placed an order for pickup which was a quick and easy process! (I did this through Yelp). Upon arrival, I walked right in and they had my food waiting for me- ready to rock and roll. I ordered a spicy scallop nigiri which was absolutely delicious. I've never had raw scallop before and it was bomb. So soft and sweet, with a touch of spiciness. I wish I order more!! I ordered the Sake House Specialty roll. This was salmon, tuna and yellowtail. Boy oh boy melted in my mouth. The rolls had rice but were also wrapped in soy paper. Quite a nice touch! I totally recommend either of these items and I can't wait to go back and try more.

Only reviewing this experience based on a single take-out order. Extremely friendly on the phone and in person. I love hibachi (teppanyaki) food so it's hard to mess it up. Didn't love the meat quality or lobster portion, but still tasted alright. Sushi was good portions but thinly sliced rolls. Standard hibachi fare but still isn't the elevated Japanese cuisine from some other similar spots in the area.

    Dynamite Roll with avocado added

Fantastic customer service when I asked about the fried sushi rolls. We had the dynamite roll and added avocado and it was prepared to perfection. The chicken hibachi lunch is also a must. Great price and quality. They have very clean and attentive service that made the ambiance light up.

Sake tasting - He loved it, me not so much.

Wow! Amazing The food was fresh (you could taste the freshness), had great taste, the atmosphere was soothing, place was clean, our waitress was friendly and what can we say about Joe, the manager---what a great guy! Joe, we will be back! We give this place 10 stars if we could. Frankie took 2 Coconut Sakes, which after a few days of being there he is already talking about going back ( we live an hour away) for Sushi, & def more Sake (Hot & Cold). For any customer reading this review. You will not be disappointed. Food was delish and most importantly Fresh!

The flavor was spot on! The price point here is fantastic for the quality you're getting. I did takeout, and I was blown away by the portion size--there was a lot of food. It's easily enough for two meals, or a very hungry one! It's rare to find a place that offers such generous servings while keeping the prices so reasonable.

From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the food is so good. The hibachi is my go-to every time. It's honestly one of the best deals around, and is way more affordable than the big hibachi chains in the area, and just as satisfying (if not better). Their onion soup is hands down my favorite Japanese soup of all time. And I have to talk about their white sauce because it is SO good. When you dine in, they give you a whole bottle at the table, which I love because you can go all in. And if you're doing takeout, they give you a really generous portion. One thing I really love is how customizable everything is. They'll make your hibachi exactly how you want it, all the way down to which vegetables you do or don't want, which is a nice touch you don't always get. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and service has consistently been great over the years. The space inside is on the smaller side, but they clearly do a ton of takeout business. It can get busy during peak times, but I've honestly never had to wait for a table. I'm not personally a sushi person, but everyone I've gone with raves about it, and you can watch the sushi chefs making everything fresh right at the counter. Yabi is a frequent stop for me and has been for years, and is definitely a local favorite.

I triedbout their maru special two rolls with a salad or soup. Of course I choose the salad. My hubby choose the miso soup. The two rolls Itried were the California roll and the chicken tempura roll. The California roll had fresh ingredients like avocado, shredded Kani, and cucumbers. The chicken tempura roll was filled with tempura chicken, avocado, and spicy mayo. My hubby ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. I got to try the chicken and freshly steamed rice. The chicken was juicy and the teriyaki was nicely mild and not to sweet. The bento box was the perfect amount of food for him. He actually left stuffed like a cabbage roll. Lol Both rolls were yummy with no need for eel sauce, spicy mayo, or soy sauce on the side. I will also include that the fresh ginger slices are to die for. I could be a ginger snob though. Lol Highly recommend the spring rolls as well. They have the perfect crispness and flavor to them. You will be provided with a sweet chili sauce to dip away with. Thank you again for a great experience.

Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here. They feature a few lower costs options for lunch. Additionally, they have hibachi, teriyaki and ramen also!

Three sushi rolls for around $18 is a pretty solid deal, and we appreciated that the happy hour menu keeps things simple with rolls featuring just one or two ingredients.
