This is an ok, pretty average, strip mall sushi bar. Everything was average, but priced average (not pricey) as well. We stopped by on a Sunday night for dinner. They have a big menu with lots of different options. The only thing that really impressed me here was how attentive the servers were. Our server was VERY good. For being so vacant, the wait after ordering was still pretty average, so I don't know how quickly they get around during high traffic times. It's pretty quiet and there's plenty of open seating, so it would be a great place for a date where you really want to talk. Also - this is a great place for a gluten free peeps. Really neat space, nice staff, and spectacular pricing! My father, sister, and I dined like royalty and got away with a more than reasonable final check. Enjoyed the miso soup, Seaweed salad, and fried calamari for appetizer. Took advantage of the two roll combo, then added three specialty rolls for the real sushi lovers. Visited OKC and my friends took me to this sushi place. Love the dynamite don and monkey brain! The avocado in monkey brain is a little big in comparison of the other ingredients but still awesome. The restaurant inside is a very low key but cute spot. The team greeted me as I walked in and seated me. I got the miso soup, spring rolls and two sushi rolls, California and angry tuna. Miso soup was good and hot. I wasn't too impressed with the spring rolls, they were too greasy for my taste. My two sushi rolls were ok. I say that because I feel like it was missing one important thing, the avocados! Since my sushi was lacking avocados and the spring rolls were greasy they get a star deduction. Let me tell you.. the same great flavor and menu items still apply. We tried the "Monkeybrain" app as our waiter recommended it and I couldn't compare it to anything I've ever tried. It's a perfect starter for your tastebuds. We then ordered four rolls for the table. The Mexican Roll, Spider Roll, Caterpillar Roll, and Cajun. Our favorite was the Mexican and Caterpillar. I also ordered Gyoza's and the combination Hibachi( Steak and Shrimp). You probably won't like this place if you're used to the more mainstream sushi restaurants that have really in-your-face flavor. This place excels at the simpler, fresher sushi that is more traditional. I like that it has a "mom & pop" feel to it and the prices are reasonable. The nigiri was pretty excellent. Wow this place was a random find just from driving by and stopping because I was hungry. I don't normally hang out around this area but this sushi restaurant was delicious. Overwhelming. That is a good word to describe this place. Overwhelming for those who eat sushi, but easy if you're there for the grill part. The sushi menu is HUGE, which could be good or bad, depending on who you are, I suppose. It's a small place with friendly service and good food overall. Futomaki (4/5): Egg, crabstick, avocado, cucumber, pickled radish, kanpyo, with seaweed outside. I loved everything about this roll, and was very happy it wasn't stuffed with a ton of cucumber like many places do. It was put together well and tasty. That last star is actually vague, sad to say. It just didn't hit me as a solid 5 is all. Eel avocado roll (4/5): BBQ eel and avocado, with rice and a sesame seed sauce on the outside. A very good simple roll with good taste and fresh avocado. The eel was tender and delicious, and likely as fresh as it'll get here in our landlockedness. Cucumber salad (4/5): I don't like cucumbers. I just don't. They're plain and watery and meh. But I enjoy a good cucumber salad because the right marinades goes well with the faint flavor of a cucumber. Samurai's cucumber salad is good. For the price I'm totally happy with the sushi, they take a good amount of care in the food they put out and it shows in what they deliver. The restaurant is really tiny and cute a great place to grab a casual lunch or dinner for 1 to 4 people, but beyond that just place your order to go and enjoy in the comfort of your home. Ordered pickup via Yelp and my order was ready in about 20 min. The place was easy to find with plenty of parking spaces on a Sunday evening. The restaurant looked nice/clean and there was only one table of customers during my visit. The sushi was decent for the price except the seaweed was a bit chewy and the rice was slightly undercooked. I've found that Samuri Sushi has become my somewhat of a go-to place when I'm wanting a little sushi or japanese. They are open a little later than other places, are extremely nice, they are clean, and their food is pretty good. I remember seeing a review on them here on Yelp where they received 3 *s. I don't find this very fair because their reasoning is they come from New York and have awesome sushi there. Well, hun; we live in Oklahoma - land of the locked. We don't get fish right out of the water to put on the plate. But for the Oklahoma Sushi that it is, it's pretty dang good. Reasonably fresh and I'm sure you could ask what day they get their fish in; I always forget, but I'm pretty forgiving if it's the day before their fresh fish comes in from the fish farm. (Keep in mind, unlike New York, we have some BOMB mexican and other southern foods. There ARE better things here than in other states. We aren't lame. OklaHOMEa ftw.) One fault, they give you tap water when you order water. And you can defintely tell that it is tap water. Their green tea covers the taste though. I've tried multiple rolls, and all of them are pretty good, though, of course, people have specific tastes for certain fishes or ingredients. Their Chicken Katsu was very tasty. Fried chicken, served atop a lettuce bed with two sauces on the side - who couldn't like it? Their portions are pretty good for the amount you are spending as well. We are passing through town so there is no way we would have found this place without my YELP. It is a little strip mall hole in the wall place as Stephen L. stated. Very nice staff. The sweet tea is good almost like its mixed with lemonade a little. They made a mistake and brought us some dumplings which we didn't order but they were awesome tasting. We ordered spicy tuna roll, hungry roll, Sexy Girl roll and another which I'm forgetting. It all was wonderful and I'd most definitely go back if I lived in OK on a regular basis. Just decided to try Samurai Sushi & Grill based on Yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint! As soon as we walked in the staff was very attentive, the decor is very clean and fairly modern. We ordered the California roll and spicy tuna roll which were both pretty good, but the specialty "shaggy dog roll" was absolutely delicious!!! It had tempura shrimp, avocado, cream cheese and a spicy mayo dressing. Also, the food came out very fast! Of course there were only a few other tables when we were there around 6PM. There's a huge variety of rolls on the menu, so we want to go back to try more. Overall a large selection for GREAT prices. Basic rolls like California or tuna run $5-$6, then specialties like the shaggy dog roll are $9-$11. Overall we had a great experience and I recommend anyone gives this place a try. read more

We ordered grub hub from this place via Yelp! tonight. I had a teppanyaki meal a few weeks ago somewhere else and I've been craving the whole steak, veggies and rice combo since. I ordered the steak hibachi from here with veggies and fried rice. I ate a bit of the rice (just not a huge rice person), but omg the meat!!!!!!!! The steak here is so good, super delicious, super tender, amazing Asian hibachi flavor. Same with the veggies. The meat and veggies come in the same tray with the same kind of soy sauce-y (but not) liquid that was super yum. The portions are good size, typical of Asian takeaway I feel like, I definitely ate half and felt really full, saving the other half for lunch tomorrow and am so looking forward to it. The miso soup was a solid price and perfect for the 45° degree weather outside. We had the soft shell crab which I didn't know was fried since I let my husband choose. I could have passed on the but mainly bc I am not a big fried fan at sushi places. I also had the Angry Tuna which was not as spicy as I expected. I forget why the tuna was supposed to be angry (maybe if you consider siracha spicy? Tolerance point up to you but the wasabi was very fresh so I used that to make it angry again).
