Ordered delivery tonight. Received a soggy pizza. We couldn't eat it, it just fell apart it was so soggy. Called to give feedback, not wanting anything. The man I talked to proceeded to argue with me that he cut the pizza and he thought it was, if anything, over cooked. The top was overcooked but the dough was undercooked. Don't know why he would argue with me when I was just giving feedback and I'm the one who tried to eat it. I wasn't going to leave a review but after how defensive and rude that guy was, I felt this was probably better. He told me he was the best pizza place in San Clemente.... Hahahaha! Ok guy! You are really killing the game with that attitude. In my experience with this place is that it can be good pizza but half the time it's a gamble unfortunately. I wouldn't say it's the best pizza. I was pleasantly surprised by the pizza we had delivered late at night. To me, it was like a nicer version of Costco pizza..which may sound bad, but it isn't at all. My boyfriend wasn't as much a fan of his meat pizza as I was of my Margherita, so maybe simple is better. But anyway, I was a big fan! Nice crust and tasty, generous toppings - especially the garlic cheese bread. A small size is perfect for one hungry person with probably some leftover. read more

Not once, not most of the time or a majority of time, but every single time my orders that are placed far ahead of time are just found when I walk in, causing them to begin the process in along existing line of orders. The point of an order being placed 30 minutes prior is to have it ready or at least be told the proper time expectation- not be frustrated when walking in and the store realizing they should have begun it (and could have begun it) long ago. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE: Went in to pick up an online order but left my phone in the car. A woman with long curly hair behind the counter told me I couldn't have the pizza till I showed the order on my phone. Got my phone, showed her the order and reached for the pizza. She pulled the pizza out of my hand and sternly insisted I click "confirm delivery" on the app before she would give it to me. When I reacted to her aggressiveness by saying "Wow," she proceeded to berate and yell at me as I exited the store. Is this how San Clemente Pizza Company wants to represent itself to its local customers?! I won't give my personal business to this restaurant again, and I'll inform all my friends and on social media of my experience here tonight. I recommend Sonny's Pizza instead...food is better and the staff is respectful and grateful to their customers. Reply to store response: I have also been a customer and lived in this town for many years. The fact that their response was again "aggressive" proves my point. Most companies would apologize for any misunderstandings. Perfectly cooked so the dough was crispy crunchy on the outside and soft & airy on the inside. Sauce and cheese was also perfectly balanced and sweet and cooked. This place has great pizza! I had a custom pizza with veggies on it. My son had BBQ pizza and scarfed it down. We also ordered hot wings and had a little Super Bowl feast. The biggest suggestion I have is the restaurant itself needs to be cleaned up. They have an old conditioner in the window that has dust all over it. The windows need a good cleaning and the blinds that are up need a good scrub down. If the waiting area was clean, I would have def given 5 stars instead of 4. :-) read more

We ordered via doordash. We aren't fans of the big chains like dominoes so being new to this area we wanted to try a local spot. We ordered a small plain cheese pizza and one large ham and pineapple pizza. The cheese pizza was over cooked. The crust was hard as a rock and the cheese was burnt and so thin it didn't have a cheese taste it was just a crunchy hard pizza shaped piece if bread basically. Not an enjoyable pizza at all. The large ham and pineapple was the same way just over cooked, hard as a rock crust and the toppings were burnt, with the thinnest layer of cheese not even covering the pizza as cheese should. It was $50 wasted. We are sitting here still with no dinner. Haven't even tried the cinnamon sticks yet..I'd really like my money back... read more

I'm giving this 3 1/2 stars because our wait time for delivery was an hour on the dot- instead of the 40- 45 minutes the employee stated when we phoned in our order. The delivery guy did apologize for the long wait though. Now, we're here in San Clemente on our mini vacation & love to support local businesses whenever possible. My family love pizza and love to try new places. A friend ordered from this place and the pizza looked and smelled amazing. With that said wad feeling pizza and was seeing what deals were out there and remembered this place. Got on yelp to see what there info was to call and place an order but noticed that I could place an order for pickup. Placed my order, I ordered an XL pepperoni pizza and a medium Tex Mex Bbq pizza and garlic bread. My order was ready at the time I was given. The pizza was pretty bomb especially the Tex Mex pizza it was full of flavor and just the right amount of ingredients. The only thing is I wish the garlic bread had been a bit crispier really enjoy a good crunch on my bread. Overall I recommend this place and will for sure order again. But most importantly the pizza was AMAZING!! just a simple pizza with mushrooms and garlic, and they nailed it! False advertising always rubs me the wrong way! If you advertise an XL New York Pizza with two toppings and the toppings are both listed as choices above the price, don't tell me when I get there that our order is a specialty pizza and the price is different. We ordered an XL New York Pizza with tomato and basil, both items clearly on the list of toppings. We were charged an increased amount and when we questioned the amount we were told we ordered a specialty pizza. Even when I phoned the order in I specifically ordered the XL New York pizza with 2 toppings, and then listed our 2 choices. I called the SC pizza company and the manager GEORGINA ( hope i spelled that right ) who was VERY AWESOME explained none of the Grub hub Drivers wanted to deliver my order because i put a $0 tip . RUDE ! I come from working for a pizza place for 4+ years as a manager and driver IF YOU ONLY WORK FOR TIPS , FIND A NEW JOB ! Also , getting CASH tips is a lot better than CREDIT CARD tips as they don't get taxed and you don't have to report them ! Thank you to SAN CLEMENTE PIZZA COMPANY for sending one of their own drivers out to me and HAYDEN got here at 9:20pm which was perfect timing as i was still on the phone with the manager ! He was very sweet, professional and apologized as well ! She constantly apologized even though it was grub hubs fault not hers! Next time i will order straight through the company instead of Grub hub and be MAD because the driver did get a tip and now a review ! This place has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY worse since the first several times I ordered pizza from here over two years ago. It has become the most inconsistent food I've ever seen from any type of restaurant I've been to. The same exact pizza can look and taste 100% different each time you order. Unfortunately for them, tonight's order will officially be my last. After dealing with a few awful pizzas (that didn't taste like the previous one) the last 8-10 orders, I ordered again tonight - a specialty pizza that was supposed to be topped with clumps of ricotta cheese that looks like a cloudy paste after it's cooked. Instead, it looked like the pizza had sat in the desert sun for a day or so and turned the ricotta into a liquid that profusely DRIPPED when I picked up the first slice. It was a complete disgrace of a pizza and I wouldn't even dare to feed it to the stray cat in my neighborhood. I'm well aware that realistic/low expectations are a requirement when ordering food from a contingent of teenagers, but I'd had enough and immediately called them to express my absolute disgust with their pizza and recent inconsistency. The clueless kid who answered the phone showed absolutely zero concern (surprise, surprise), so I asked if the owner or manager was available. He said the manager would "be right back", took my name and number, and said he'd have him call me back right away. Obviously, I have not gotten a response and certainly don't expect one from this joke of an establishment that used to be a place I'd order from at least once a week. Best of luck read more
