Candace worked with my wife and I on our recent home purchase in Alpine. When we first contacted…read moreher, we told her that we'd found a house on the Internet that we were interested in, and that we'd like to have her show us that house, plus a few others in the neighborhood. (We found Candace through a San Diego Magazine article called "FIVE STAR Real Estate Agents".) Candance made herself available to fit our schedules, which was important to us as we were coming from Northern California. After selecting a home, Candace guided us through the process of making offers and counteroffers, always providing guidance (from her many years in the real estate business) yet always listening to what we wanted to do and never insisting that her ideas would be better than ours. That was a BIG plus for us, and a quality you do not find in every agent. After our offer was accepted, Candance handled the bulk of the work for us as we needed to remain in Northern California for several weeks. She was able to get paperwork to us electronically (even those items that needed signatures), and volunteered on several occasions to be present at the new property (while we were unavailable) to allow the speedy completion of inspections and all of the other work that goes into being sure that the house we were buying was exactly as it was represented to us. She was especially helpful to keep all of the players (loan broker, insurance, title company, etc.) on track for a smooth close and on schedule with our close-of-escrow date. Then, after we moved in to our new Alpine home, Candace has continued to help us with selecting local vendors for house upgrades and even providing advice on the best places in town to eat! Real Estate is a service industry. Agents should be measured by the degree and the quality of the service they provide. At every stage of the game, Candace made us feel that we were the most important, no the ONLY, people in the world. She provided us with the level of attention that VIPs deserve, and aren't we all VIPs? She is a very pleasant person, but can be assertive when the situation calls for a bit of forthrightness. She is well networked with others in the general real estate industry in the area, and that also proved to be advantageous for us as buyers. Candace is also a great communicator. Considering we were moving from 500 miles away, is was great to have constant updates. Candace was like having another set of eyes, ears, and hands right there in SoCal where I needed them. Whether you need to buy or sell your home, if you're in the area that Candace serves, you should give her a call. You will not be disappointed.

Candace was my agent when I sold my house in Descanso, CA in the summer of 2014. This is not the…read moreeasiest market in which to sell a house. The town has the reputation of being "remote" and it's also a place many San Diego area people have never even heard of! With Candace' help, I was able to sell my house within six weeks of listing it. That was very important to me because I really NEEDED to move away. Candace has excellent communication skills. She understands what a seller might not know about selling a home and she's there with clear explanations every step of the way. She responds very quickly to phone calls and emails. She puts in MORE than 100% to help the client get the house ready to show and she does excellent followup with agents whose clients have seen the house to find out what was and was not appealing to THEIR clients. Candace helped me sort out some mechanical problems that were way beyond my physical abilities -- like cleaning out an "attic" area in my shed and doing yard cleanup. Selling a house is extremely stressful, and in my situation, time was really critical. I WAS stressed. I don't know how I could have made it through the experience so happily with any other agent. Candace' patience, her sense of humor, and her genuine kindness were a great help to me as were her skills as a real estate agent. She was an advocate for my interests the whole way.

POTENTIAL TENANT BEWARE: Misleading of the intent of a holding deposit…read more I recently applied for a home to rent through Parker properties. I was approved and was asked to put a holding deposit down until they could draw up the lease. The Holding Deposit (because my move in date was so soon- 1st Months rent and Security Deposit) totaling $7,390. I dropped off the cashiers check and was told to sign the Holding deposit Receipt. I was NOT provided any explanation or details. I signed it without reading because I was in a hurry and on my lunch hour and understood Holding Deposits to be a charge for the days the property was removed and held off the market by the potential tenant. I received the lease 3 days later and couldn't comply because there were many restrictions listed that were not normal and it was not a California Association of Realtors lease. I declined the rental. Sadly after, I was told I would be charged $120 a day until the home was re-rented up to 30 days not for just the 3 days the property was taken off the market. They held my entire deposit. I called and spoke with the owner and Broker Teri Parker to discuss it and she didn't budge nor care. She even warned me not to sue (without me mentioning it) because she's been sued in the past on this and won every time. Yet she hasn't changed this policy and still doesn't disclose the restrictions or rules nor explain their Holding Deposits receipt. After 30 days of holding my money, I was charged $2,640 for 22 days at $120 per day despite the property being marketed online for 19 of those days and many people viewing the home. It should not be the applicants responsibility to pay for a property they never agreed to lease. This is bad business and I'm not aware of any other property mgmt company doing this! The point of this post is to warn any future renter about this company's intent to make a potential applicant financially responsible for a rental property under the guise of a holding deposit! It was called a Holding Deposit Receipt and should absolutely be ONLY for the days the property was taken off the market and held by the applicant. Don't make my mistake and trust the title of the document and not fully read it. You are agreeing to pay a per diem equivalent to the rent of the property until it is re rented not for holding it. That should have been explained especially if she's been sued for it already in the past. Please beware and insist on seeing the lease first. Don't sign that receipt until you have. This is not what the law intended a holding deposit to be and it is not standard for a management company to use it in this way.

This is by far the worst property company I've ever dealt with please be careful they promise a lot…read moreof things but it's all a lie. I don't think that they give equal opportunity to other people trying to live in California. They are definitely helping people leave this state.
