Pony walls were cut down two feet. Cable railing (with radius below) installed in a week's time.

We bought a fixer-upper 4 years ago. With so many things to do, we rarely invest in vanity projects. But while our previous banister worked just fine, we liked the look of the cable railing. Ours was installed in January and we are thrilled we did it. It changes the entire look of the entryway: what was once an eyesore is now a focal point and frankly, the nicest part of the house. Beyond our satisfaction with the railing itself, everyone at San Diego Cable Railings was excellent. Of the dozens of contractors we've had here in 4 years, I don't recall anyone better. Unlike so many companies, they communicated and kept us in the loop during pre-planning. They spent hours measuring (and re-measuring) every ugly angle of our staircase. They worked nonstop during installation, stopping only to update us on progress. The level of skill & craftsmanship was that of true professionals and they were great guys to boot. We have a radius in our handrail that numerous contractor friends told me would be difficult & time consuming. San Diego Cable Railings handled it with ease. Thanks again to all who made it happen - we're just as happy as the day it was installed.

Angle was off on my first order so my rail had big gap.

Do you do removable railings for homes that need the option for moving furniture?

Hi Laura - thank you for reaching out. We typically recommend moving the furniture while the railing is down (i.e. demo existing, move furniture, install new railing) if possible. However, we do have modular system options that can be disassembled… Read more

Hello, I have some outdoor cable railing that needs to be tightened. Would you know someone that could assist? I live in Solana Beach. Let me know when you can. Thx so much!

Hi David - thank you for your message. We typically do not work with materials supplied by other companies, but we can have one of our estimators reach out to you to see if it is something we can assist with. If that works for you feel free to send… Read more

Was told over the phone that they were sold in 4x4 sheets. Got to the store and they said they could only sell it in full sheets of 4x8 (not a big deal). Ended up paying to have the 4x8 sheet cut. Got it home and realized the ends were even and the center was off by 1.75" (not even close to being straight), it was dome shaped. So 4" were wasted and I had to make two additional cuts to get it straight. Then brought it to my fabricator and it turns out it isn't even what I had ordered. It's flattened, not standard like what I ordered and confirmed (didn't know there was a difference). Came back to get the correct stuff and they said there was nothing they could do about my previous order because they had cut it. $180 down the drain for a piece that was not what I ordered and not cut straight. Not even a partial refund or anything on the next correct sheet. Had a good relationship with a few of the employees but this is the last time I do business here. UPDATE: Spoke with Shelby who provided great customer service unlike the female I had previously dealt with. Ultimately, a refund was issued and the mistake was corrected. Very disappointed that it took a bad review for them to finally correct their mistake, but am happy with the outcome.
