First, our rep Robert came to our house with tons of options and suggestions. He was able to give us a wide variety and help us select something that uniquely fit our style and budget. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly with any questions we had. When we came to the showroom, Robert dopped everything to lead us through the selection process. We could tell he was highly knowledgeable and much more intent on making us happy rather than upselling us on unnecessary products. When instillation day came our installers, Miguel and Israel, were also very professional and highly knowledgeable and skilled. Rarely have I seen harder workers than these two! Their attention to detail--such as lining up the carpet pattern on the stairs and making sure the cut pattern on the risers were balanced--was impressive. The entire job, including moving large furniture, was completed in two days. We couldn't be more pleased! We highly recommend this team for high quality products, professional treatment and advice, and an impressive installation experience.

Had my floors installed back in 2021. We picked out LVP. The person of contact did not communicate…read moreduring the install. That was the first problem. Second problem is they have been back every year since the install to correct the floor underneath which was not done properly. In fact the first year they came out the guy said they did a shitty job. Nice to hear from the store that their service was shitty. The floors had about a one inch movement up and down. So the second year another spot did the same thing. They came out and ripped it up a second time. Problem came back the next year in a different spot all within about a ten to twelve foot area. Each year a new spot and another ripping up of the floor. We had new baseboards installed through out the house and after 5 years and promises that the missing piece in the master bath would be done, it still isn't. Even this past summer the head guy said he was embarrassed that it wasn't done. But Guess what? Still not done. Plus all the installed baseboards have small little metal nail hole throughout as they didn't even cover them and paint over them. They look horrible. We recently had our upstairs done by a different company and I looked at Village carpets email from 2021 to get the color of our downstairs LVP. Turns out they changed the color on a different email without noting it and we ordered over 1000 sq ft of the incorrect color. This cost me over $3000 because they had changed color. Lost the price of the floors and labor as I noticed it was wrong after half the upstairs hallway was installed. Then had to look through past emails to find out the problem was that I was sent two different emails with two different floor colors. I have left messages for owner which are ignored. Crazy way to run a business.

First, I was recommended by the flooring contractor, who said they would get me the contractor price, which I was told when I purchased from Rayo. As it turns out, the "contractor price" was just their normal price, which I verified by calling and asking for the price. Secondly, they screwed up my underlayment order, giving me a lower-quality underlayment that I thankfully caught before the contractor installed it. This may have had the consequence of needing the flooring to be ripped out and underlayment replaced due to HOA rules of minimum sound abatement quality. And third, they couldn't find a flooring piece and told my contractor it was located at a different store, sending them from this location to Clairmont during rush hour. The piece was actually at this location, but they didn't even try looking for it. This delayed my project two days. Overall, they are untruthful and seem to be careless and unprofessional.

We called a few contractors to give us a quote to go with our kitchen renovation. Refinishing the cabinets was not an option because we wanted a solid color and painting oak will reveal the grain. Refacing was our preferred solution but the contractors will only do a complete cabinet replacement. That would have been fine, but replacing the cabinets will get us way off budget. So my wife and I did our cabinet-refacing homework and I came across Suncraft Millwork on Amazon.com. Specializing in thermofoil cabinets and drawer faces, it offers modern slab and shaker-style designs. I exchanged a few text and emails with Jeremy, the owner, and got a very budget-friendly quote! The caveat was my wife and I will have to do some heavy lifting because we had to make sure the cabinet frames will match the doors and faces. This will be no easy task because we cannot just paint oak since the wood's grain will be evident. We also had to put the hinges and install the doors and attach the drawer faces. But we were ready to rise to the challenge. At 1/3 the contractor bid, we will make sure we prevail! We ordered 25 shaker-style cabinet doors and 12 drawer faces of varying sizes in Fashion Gray color. Jeremy needed a 2-week window which was just the right amount of time we needed to sand, fill, re-sand, prime, and paint the frames. He sent us a thermofoil sample to color-match the paint. Our order came neatly stacked on a pallet and the items were securely wrapped in foam and cardboard. Clearly labelled with measurements, all of them were in pristine condition. I was in contact with Jeremy the entire process and beyond. He suggested the self-closing hinges and made sure I'll be able to install the doors with ease. It has been three months since we installed them and these doors and faces looked really well in our renovated kitchen. We will surely give Jeremy a call when it's time for us to upgrade our bathroom cabinets and drawers!

We had outdated recessed oak cabinets with natural stain and we invited a few contractors to make a bid on them. They all recommended to do the more expensive replacement rather than refacing which would have made a huge dent on our budget. My husband found this business in Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09F21L33S) that offers thermofoil cabinets. He was in contact with the owner (Jeremy) from ordering to installing the cabinets. We were unsure with the color so Jeremy sent us samples to choose from. Since we were going to change only the doors and keep the frames, we used the sample to get color-matched paint. We ordered 26 cabinet doors and 12 drawer faces - all in shaker style and Fashion Gray color. They were shipped free and neatly stacked on a pallet. They were carefully wrapped with protective material in groups of 2 or 3 doors / faces. We had to isolate the kitchen with plastic covers to get the frames sanded, wood-filled, sanded again, primed, and finally painted. The doors arrived in a couple of weeks giving us plenty of time to prep the kitchen. We were looking for soft/self-closing hinges to go with the cabinet doors and Jeremy had a great recommendation. To complete the whole cabinet renovation, I bought the cabinet/drawer pulls. We were very happy with how our new cabinets turned out. We did a lot of DIY work but it was all worth it. We will surely order from Suncrafters again when we do our bathroom cabinets and drawers.

But learned quickly that they use real wood as opposed to "poly" and explained the differences between the 2 so it was pretty much a win to go with them. They also did the closet doors in 2 of our rooms and I don't have any great pictures of the kitchen shutters they did but we absolutely love them. I've referred them to a few of my neighbors now and while I seriously thought at first it was just going to be a nice addition to the house, it's been one of the best decisions I've made for a home improvement expense. I recently had my floors done by Family Interiors, and while the finished product looks great in most places, I cannot overlook the numerous issues and inconveniences we experienced throughout the entire process. The fact that they fixed some of the problems is commendable, but it's disheartening that these issues were not addressed proactively, and we had to bring them to their attention for any action to be taken. One of the first problems we noticed was flooring compound splattered on our newly painted walls, leaving unsightly marks that required additional touch-ups. Moreover, we found scratches on our ceiling, which was truly baffling and raised concerns about their attention to detail and care for the property. Another major concern was the gapping between the baseboards and the newly installed floors. When we asked the installers about it, their explanation was that achieving a higher level of precision would have required more leveling compound and time. However, we chose Family Interiors with the understanding that they would deliver top-notch service without cutting corners, especially considering the price they quoted us. Adding to the list of disappointments, the installers removed my closet doors without any prior communication, leaving us completely unaware of the situation. We only discovered they couldn't put the doors back on AFTER they had already installed the new flooring. While I must acknowledge that the actual installation of the floors was completed relatively quickly, it is essential to highlight that Family Interiors failed to communicate the significant issue with the closet doors promptly. It was frustrating to realize a week later, and dangerously close to the expected deadline, that they would not be able to reinstall the doors. Had they been transparent and informed us about this situation in a timely manner, we could have made alternative arrangements or chosen a different approach to the installation process. This lack of communication added unnecessary stress and left us feeling let down by their overall customer service and professionalism. This oversight rendered four large mirrored closet panels useless and forced me to purchase additional tools to shave down three of the doors so they could be closed without damaging the new floors. The lack of communication and planning on their part was unacceptable. Lastly, we specifically requested that the work be completed by a specific Friday so we could move into our new home over the weekend without disruption. However, Family Interiors failed to meet this deadline, even with three weeks worth of time, and didn't finish until the following Monday, after we had already moved everything in. This careless delay caused us unnecessary work and rearrangement, which we were hoping to avoid by hiring professionals. In conclusion, while the floors themselves turned out fine if you don't look too closely, the overall experience with Family Interiors was subpar due to the numerous issues we faced. The lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and failure to meet deadlines are all areas that need serious improvement. I regret choosing this company and cannot recommend them to others based on our unfortunate experience. This is my first time doing this. So i hope i do this right. Last week i called and talked to patty to make an appointment for remodeling. My floors. I figured i better do it now while the husband still says yes . I was referred to this company by a friend. They told me to have Ryan look at my floors. So i called. Patty told me that i could have him later that day. If not I'd have to wait till the following week ( this week) i called my husband to see if he was home but he wasn't. So i booked for for earlier this week. My phone broke so i couldn't make calls. So the morning of my appointment, i ask a co worker if i can use her phone to confirm my appointment before i went home. I did not want to sit there and wait. I talked to someone named Paul i believe and i asked if Ryan was on his way. He asked for my name and then confirmed that he was actually on his way out to see me. Great. I go home and i wait. And wait and wait. I go back to work a little upset. But no biggie i have other appointments for this. My co worker said that her phone rang allot i saw the number and it was this company. I called back and i got patty. She told me they tried to reach me because they did not have me on the schedule. How can they not have me on the schedule. I booked it with her and Paul confirmed it. She did say she is sorry she does not remember our conversation. I gave her details of the conversation and she would not remember. I'm not angry but something just doesn't add. How can you rush me to book then not book me. And on the morning of, Paul confirms my call telling me Ryan is on his way then be told that they never booked me. Plus i heard the voice mails and Ryan never called me. I understand Paul left messages to reach me. But i asked for Ryan and if something wrong happened, it should have been Ryan who should have called the number back. Plus my co worker saved the voice mail and Paul sounds either upset or annoyed with me. Sorry my phone broke but the frustration should not be taken out on me or in this case my co workers phone Lol. Great work, love my new floors. After two years of buying our condo, which came with laminate flooring that was installed erroneously, my wife and I decided it was time to get some professionals to do the work for us. So I looked around for about a week, and this was by far the best. The staff, in this case Ryan, was super professional (something I was definitely looking for). He worked around my schedule and met me on a weekend (at 7 am), he looked everything over and within 30 minutes I had an estimate. Not knowing what to expect as far as pricing goes I contacted other people. First I contacted Empire Today, they Quoted me over 7 thousand dollars for less than 700 square feet; after I showed them Family Carpet & Draperies' quote at (2,370) they were willing to go down to 3,500 (which goes to show how much of a rip off they are. The second company I contacted, which was more of an independent contractor quoted me 2,500 (and I still had to buy all the materials). So, to summarize this, not only was Family Carpet & Draperies the best costumer service, they were also the cheapest. From the beginning Ryan was straight forward and there were no surprises; he was even willing to work with the price. By moving my own stuff and clearing everything for them I saved around 450 dollars. The installer (Roberto) was very friendly and showed right at the time he was supposed to, he got to work as soon as he got to my condo and didnt stop until the day was over. They did the work in 2 days and did final touches on a third day (which they also worked around my schedule, they came after work hours, at 5pm). I loved the experience, if I ever need anything else as far as flooring goes I will definitely be going back to this guys. THANK YOU! read more

i recently purchased a rehabbed home in la mesa and although all 17 windows were replaced, the builder did not install any window treatments, so after meeting with 5 different competitors i finally chose to go with family carpet & draperies and i am so happy i did!! evan came out to my house and took all the measurements within an hour or so and made some recommendations that i actually went with in the end. evan actually installed everything himself, including 11 plantation shutters and 6 honeycomb theater black out myler window shades, and everything looked absolutely beautiful and met with my 100% satisfaction!! i received 4 other quotes from other major competitors here in san diego, all of which came in much higher than what evan had quoted me - actually 1/3 to 1/2 higher believe it or not in comparsion to what evan had quoted me from family carpet & draperies! if you're searching for the best prices and best quality on window treatments this is the place to buy from hands down so don't even waste your time going anywhere else since i already did the homework and this is as good as it gets!!!!!!! call Evan's cell phone at 619-917-0712 or their store at 619-697-5969 today! *************************highly recommended*************************** read more

Hi Ryan, Well first, I would like to say that your guys are WONDERFUL! I am so pleased with this end result!!! I know that it was above and beyond for you and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you. I know that it would have been good with just a second coat on the two entry ways, but Tim was so gracious and put the second coat on the entire floor. It is like a new floor! I know it sounds weird, and you would have to know our history together, but we LOVE flaws in original things. We love the character and "other's lives" that come from the wear in our floors. We just had our whole house carpeted and what a great crew they sent to install the carpet. We have a two story townhouse with a fair amount of furniture that needed to be moved. Within no time they had the furniture moved out of every room and began to lay the carpet. They started at 8am and were finished about 6pm. The carpet was spotless and the furniture put back when they finished. Paul and the whole staff were wonderful to work with. I took a sample carpet piece that I got from another carpet place that wasn't very good to work with. With very little info from the carpet to identify the mill, they searched all their carpets and finally found the exact carpet I wanted. Their price was excellent and the carpet looks fantastic. Great service, friendly workers, quality work. We moved into our new home in November and immediately called Family Carpet & Draperies to come by and give us an estimate for shutters. We were not recommended them by anyone, but just Googled window covering companies nearby and found they were one of the closest. Evan was very knowledgable, quick to get measurements and quick to email our estimate back to us. The shutters are made to order and they were done sooner than expected. They look wonderful and we are so glad we went with Family Carpet & Draperies. They were also much cheaper than the other 2 estimates we received upon moving into our new home. Family Interiors did an excellent job installing the vinyl flooring in my home. The finished floors look fantastic and completely transformed it. The installer, Alex, paid close attention to detail, and the quality of his workmanship really shows. The project did take longer than originally expected, but the installer worked hard throughout the process and made sure the job was done correctly rather than rushing through it. I really appreciated the care and attention to detail that went into the installation. Overall, I'm very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend Family Interiors to anyone looking for quality flooring installation work. read more

Family Carpets is the best! I just replaced my home flooring with them and I couldn't be more happy with the result! I went into the store feeling lost on what I wanted and overwhelmed with choices. Patty met me at the door and I was instantly calmed. She walked me through the flooring options, narrowing the choices and sent me home with three amazing samples. Ryan came out to measure our space and was professional and friendly. He saw my concerns for transitions and was able to make them perfect! The installers were on time, professional and quick. We have used Family Carpets and Draperies for many, many years and have always been 100% satisfied. They have installed carpet, tile, hardwood and blinds at our house with high quality workmanship at a reasonable price. We recently had a flood which forced us to move into a hotel for 2 months. We had to have a complete renovation which included having all carpeting and hardwood replaced.There was a delay from the manufacturer in delivering the material which threatened to delay our planned move in date. The owner of FC&D had his guys work Saturday and Sunday so that we could move back in on time. I doubt that a warehouse store would have done that for us. read more

Family Carpet & Draperies came to my rescue when I needed new laminate floors and carpet in my home. Paul Stecklair came out to my home several times to help me choose the perfect flooring for my needs and my budget. Evan was courteous and did an amazing job tearing out my previous floors which were affected due to water damage. His installers did an incredible job installing the floors; my house looks fabulous!! This is our second time carpeting our house using Paul and Family Carpet. We've also used Family Carpet to carpet our office. Ryan and Family Carpet & Draperies was referred to us by our nephew. Ryan's professionalism, attention to detail and use of quality materials sets him above his competition. I have used the services of FCD for my window treatments in all of my homes since moving to San Diego and I have never been disappointed.in the delivery and installation , of My window coverings. The prices are lower than other estimates I received. Would recommend and have done so,in the past to friends and family. The young man who installed blinds was very respectful and took care that my furniture was not damaged during his work. It was either ERIC or EVAN,!!!!! I was initially worried their pricing wouldn't be competitive but i was surprised that their pricing was reasonable and the customer service was fantastic. They sent a manager out to measure and then ordered the product promptly and installed. I selected a challenging pattern (grid) and was glad they I was working with this store because you can tell they are used to more challenging jobs and have a commitment to excellence and attention to detail. Their installer was great and all in all I am so thrilled with how the project turned out. They also stock all kinds of wood and laminate and vinyl! If you have a floor project coming up and want a more personal approach highly recommend you check them out. I should have asked her first, however I did have the advantage of finding and bringing home 25+ flooring samples before visiting Floor Store and Design-Point Loma. Then my designer and I met and chose the best flooring for my home.... It was not from Floor Store and Design. However Josh said he could get it for me... and he could get it at a better price. He did just that. He even delivered a sample to my home so we could compare to the sample I had picked up elsewhere... and Floor Store and Design price was lower! What surprised me about working with Josh and Door Store and Design? I thought Josh was a salesman.. He was much more than that. He was hands on in working out details of installation. One example: I found a baseboard I liked at another place, and Josh was able to order that for me at same price as offerings at his store. He also made a personal visit at end of work to check details before I made the final payment. I also had new doors installed, and Josh coordinated work with the door contractor for smoothest completion of floors, doors and baseboards installation. It was important to me to work with a full service floor store to ensure best results. The installation team Josh sent was professional, efficient, and did a great job! Floor installer Jonathon and team were great ... always showing up on time, cleaning as they went, and were friendly and easy to have around. Most important.. they were perfectionists in their work. I learned that Jonathon had learned the trade from his father and is now working with/training his brothers. Josh's installers obviously take great pride in their work and Josh also takes great pride in managing Floor Store and Decor-Point Loma.

It was a great experience from start to finish. Frank was super professional and friendly. They were able to schedule the job as soon as the wood was delivered. From start to finish, the job took four days. Zero problems. Cornelio and his crew moved all big furniture for us, which was great. They also put the furniture back and cleaned up after. The floors look fantastic, and there was very little disruption in our lives. I couldn't be happier with the entire process and results. Kudos for a job well done. Two men showed up to install the new carpet. They moved all my furniture, installed the new carpet, put all the furniture back and took away all the old carpet. They were very nice, respectful and caring. If I ever need carpet again I will definitely call Ultimate Luxe Design.
