SDR charged us $1600 to repair two refrigerators. After they claimed to have both fixed, they pushed us for immediate payment, which we did. Disappointingly, one broke in 2 days and other in 1 week. When we reported the issues to them, no response. read more

I have had 2 refrigerators repaired over the past year and they only lasted 3 months. SD Refrigeration is very expensive and their work doesn't hold up. I will never use them again. I'll just buy new. I can't justify spending $100.00 to figure out what you didn't fix in the first place read more

I would recommend SDR to anyone in need. I should have gone to them sooner than I did to save myself such headaches and turmoil. It's hard finding good, honest people to help- but this one I would recommend 100%. Peace is priceless and mentioning pricing they are more than reasonable. Fantastic service from San Diego Refrigeration!! My floral cooler stopped cooling all of a sudden; as a wedding and event florist, I need my cooler running on-demand. I had another company come out before San Diego Refrigeration, and the repairman told me that I had to buy a new- very expensive component, nearly the cost of a new cooler!! I was fortunate to receive a referral from another floral company to San Diego Refrigeration. Repairman Bill came out timely (early even) with a friendly and super helpful demeanor and promptly assessed the issue with my floral cooler. Instead of needing to replace the entire expensive component as indicated by the other company, he found the fix and the whole job was done affordably and quickly. Slow to respond to a our call about a broken AC unit during one of the hottest weeks of the year. Kinda understandable since they must have had a lot of calls for repairs. However, when they failed to come to two different scheduled times I find that horrible. Meanwhile I have to apologize to each patient that comes into the office for the heat. Unacceptable! Oh, still waiting for it to be repaired! Addendum: OK, I would like to say that when I called today Gina was very good on the phone and polite and understanding and helpful. I think the problem is with the technician. I think the owners are good. So I'm going to rerate a bit higher. read more

After Searching around for company to repair our commercial reach in freezer, I finally called SDR and I am glad I did. The tech was friendly and sorted out the issue quickly. The tech also ended up fixing a damaged joint in a difficult location which saved me from having to buy a new condenser. They were up front and honest about their rates and everyone was very professional. The rates were reasonable. My one issue was I called on a Thursday Afternoon and was told they would try to have someone out the next day. Did not hear from them so called on Monday and was informed I was schedule for first thing Tuesday morning. This was not a big issue for me, maybe half a star. The tech was on time, was very knowledgeable an honest. I would recommend them and hire them again. read more

Lets just start with they showed up many times and my restaurant problems never got fixed. Unfortunately I had to hire another refrigeration company to have my repairs done which they fixed in one day. Obviously this other company had more knowledge. Today I tried calling them to give them another chance, I explained the past problems I had and the requests I had made for some other things to be serviced regularly that never got done. Obviously this company does not care. Todays call in was just another awakening to why am I calling this place again. Gina thanks for offering the overtime rate at 11:00 am and way to go above and beyond for customer service, I appreciate you telling me to call someone else. I just explained to you the past problems we had with your company. Hopefully you can learn how to listen and take all this into consideration. Most of the time a customer complains there is usually truth to it. I did take my business to another company before and I am advising every other customer out there now that reads this to do the same. IF YOU HIRE THIS PLACE YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

I would give this company a negative star if available. Called them Oct 2017 because our ice maker work intermittently. No quote was provided. No authorization was requested and given. Technician showed up, but did not see any issue because it was working when he was there. Without any authorization he spent ~ 30min clean up the machine. Issues were not fixed. They sent several invoice but I don't check the restaurant mailbox because all bills are sent to my home address. Finally got the bill one week ago for the amount of $150 ($55 travel charge for 1 min drive and $95 regular service). I was surprised because no work authorization was provided, but I was going to sent the payment anyway just to keep a good relationship with vendor. Gina sent a person to our restaurant today with the bill. I told that lady that I disagree with the charge, but I will send in the payment today anyway because I want to keep a good relationship with vendor. She told me that it is my responsibility to ask for a quote and they will take us to small claim court if we don't pay the bill after I told her that I will send in the payment today. I called Gina to explain the situation. I told Gina that they did not have any work authorization and it is inappropriate to threaten us with a small claim law suit after we agree to pay for the bill even there was no authorization because I would like to have a good long term relationship with vendor. After a heated conversation, Gina told me to take them out of our vendor list. I went online and pay for the bill, but please stay away from these criminals. They expect customers to ask for a quote and if we don't then it is our responsibility to pay for the service even without authorization regardless how much the bill is. read more
