The food is good and consistent and Sammy and his staff are always friendly and professional. We had not been for awhile but decided to spend another anniversary at Romero's, As usual the Caesar salads were very good as were our entrees. I decided to try the Fettucine Alfredo which I had never had here before. It was one of the best I have ever had. It was obvious that the cream was freshly made and not from a can or outsourced. Sadly though we did not receive complimentry bread which we have always in the past. Did not notice it on other's tables as well. Also, it must be said that this restaurant is in need of some TLC or renovations. The carpeting is long past its useful life and does nothing to add to the Italian atmosphere of the place. The banquet style chairs are also ugly and uncomfortable. We still love the place and will continue to come here as part of our staple restaurants we visit. At one time Romero's was really the only Italian restaurant I would recommend in Guelph. With Buon Gusto and La Cucina in town I think Romeros needs to reinvent themselves a bit.

The meals are a good selection with somewhat larger portions, and very tasty on. I had the linguine Romero and the shrimp and scallops were very tasty and seemed to be fresh. The wine selection is not extensive but I just had the house wine and it was great. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. We were there on a Monday night and although we did not need a reservation the place was almost full. This is definitely a place to visit when in the area.

Plenty of selections on menu , but the standout for good value are the selection of pizzas , priced at $25. I enjoyed the Nat King Cole. There are plenty of other catchy names / varieties to choose from. Service was a little slow , however very friendly and gracious . This is a classic Guelph spot and I look forward to returning !

When we arrived ~9pm, there was a super talented and funny performer who sang, wrote her own songs, played the piano and music pad. Seriously a one woman band! She interacted with the audience too which was neat. As for the food, I ordered their ARTIC CHAR and it was *chef's kiss* cooked to perfection and all the roasted Brussel sprouts & orzo worked deliciously together. My friend got their SEAFOOD LINGUINI which she liked. Definitely would love to return here for a family night out or date night, I already have my eye out on their pizzas :) ALSO, Shout outs to the owner of the restaurant. She was sooo welcoming and noticed right away that we weren't their regulars and came to introduce herself. Made us feel like we were part of the family/town.

Our second visit was not so great however. We came here on a Monday night at around 9pm. Our server was Jessica. She was very nice and accommodating. There was a cold draft from the window and she was kind enough to move us when we asked. She was also very attentive when serving us. Now onto the food. We got the Balsamic Mozzarella again - it was delicious. I really like the sweetness of the honey and tartness of the balsamic vinegar. I'd say this is a must try! For our main, we got the Vodka Pollo Rigatoni. We usually get the social size carbonara and for that dish we always struggle to finish it. We always need to have a little bit for takeout. Now for the rigatoni, it was incredibly small. To the point where when we split it, it wouldn't even fill our entire plate. If this is the social size, I don't even think the individual portion will fill you up a little bit. I cannot emphasize how small this dish was. My partner and I were so confused when we first saw it. We were able to finish the whole dish in about 5 min and even Jessica was confused at how quickly we wiped the plate clean. We had to get a small bite elsewhere since this portion was very tiny. I wouldn't recommend it and it just sort of ruined the meal since we had to eat again. Service is nice as always and the mozzarella is great though.
