For savory items, we ordered the Pepp & Gather pizza and the Brekkie Sando. Definitely get the pizza. It was simple but incredibly satisfying. The Brekkie Sando was also very filling, and the egg was cooked perfectly. The only odd part was the wait. We arrived around lunchtime, and apparently the chef had stepped out, so we ended up waiting about 20 minutes for the food. It felt a little strange during such a busy hour, but thankfully the food made up for it. In short, one of the better bakery and café experiences we had in the area.

The salsa was fresh, spicy, and had just the right amount of kick. We also picked up a Mexican pastry, which was the perfect way to finish breakfast. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly...even if they were Dodgers fans! As a loyal San Diego Padres fan, I had to give them a little grief, but they took it in stride and made us feel right at home. It's refreshing to find a place that serves high-quality food without charging outrageous prices. The melted cheese and refried beans hug the chorizo and potato. It is so hearty that after finishing just the first half, I felt ready to take on the day. Pairs super well with their home made salsa. The cashier was super friendly and the food came out incredibly fast. The best burrito spots always tend to be the most lowkey, and this place is no exception. The exterior is so unassuming that you would easily drive right past it without noticing, but it is well worth the visit when you're in town!

So, Cider already kind of had me. In a non-descript (and hidden) mini-mall, Cider Creek stands tall. The bakery is the standout. Two full cases of all kinds of goodies and pies, a 1/2 case, and some of the sweet loafs available on the shelf. They have sandwiches and salads. Well-priced, and good. My take: it's good for grandma. It's a senior crowd to sit and stay, a younger crowd to get "to go". It's very clean and nothing wrong that I could see, but there's also nothing cool about it. Outside, they've tried to make it nice with vines over a pergola, a fireplace -- but then again it overlooks Jiffy Lube and they close early, so it's not like you can get a coffee and enjoy the lit fireplace.

Even though it was a 15 minute drive up the freeway from where I was, it was worth every minute. The downtown area this shop is in was really cool, plenty of parking, and the moment you walked into this coffee shop you could tell it was going to be good. Lots of space, people sitting and having conversations, and a greeting from the Barista the second I walked through the door. I went with my standard iced oat milk latte with honey and a triple shot and it was perfect. I wish I could have drank it there because the inside of the shop seemed like a place you could hang out for a while. Unfortunately, I had to take it on the road, but that is a shop (if I lived in that area) I would drive out of my way to get to. Well done guys!
