I think this was a better deal as the tables inside were very cramped/close together. There's just enough room to get by between tables! Out side we had a nice table and able to spread out a little. A much more comfortable option. We had a trainee waiter (Julio) and his supervisor Lalo ( I think that's his name). They had quite a list of specials the poor guy had to recite! He did a great job. The food was really good and portions were generous. We had Linguine ai muscoli di Mare e porri (withshrimp, scallops, clams and mussels) in a white wine sauce -I asked for the cream to be omitted. We also had the Orecchiette con rapine e luganega. Delicious and very generous portion We were stuffed and had to decline dessert. Definitely will come back again.

I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. Everything else we ordered was just as impressive: well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. We belong to a couple of wine clubs in the area, so this will be a regular stop for us--especially for that lamb shank. Parking was easy, it wasn't too busy during our visit, and reservations can be made online without hassle. Coming from the Bay Area and being used to dining in both SF and LA, I can confidently say Parchetto holds its own. High-quality food and a great overall experience. Kudos to the team.

So I took them up on their and went to Etto and spoke to Mark Leduc, one of the owners about my experience. He apologized my bad experience and offered me a refund of my bill but also asked me to return so that they could make it right. After discussing the offer with my wife we decided to return and give Etto another chance. I called Mr. Leduc and made a reservation for the day after Father's Day, hoping to avoid the crowds. When we arrived the place was packed but we were seated promptly at our Reserved table and almost immediately greeted by our server Ellen who promptly told us about the specials and took our drink orders. Ellen returned promptly and asked if we had any questions. My wife mentioned she would like to order the chicken fried pork chop served with a lemon-arugula/olive oil sauce but that she was allergic to lemons. Ellen said they could eliminate the lemon from the sauce which my wife agreed to. I ordered the Cioppino which came in servings for 1 or 2. I ordered the serving for 1 and imagine my surprise when it came in a large bowl which could easily feed 2. I was assured by Ellen that this was the 'small' service for 1. We also ordered the sausage, peppers and onion appetizer. All the dishes were delicious and we even had leftovers to bring home.
