I got an espresso. It came out quite bitter and thin, with very little body or crema. 2/5. Worth noting this location is in a soft opening. I've also had great espresso from Sana'a in Oakland, so I'll likely give it another try if in the area.

It looks like this is a soft opening. There's no sign in the front but on the back of the building, you see several signs for the café. I needed a caffeine hit and found that this was nearby... I was super surprised to find out that it took over the old Starbucks in the 24 hour fitness plaza. Happy though it's near me! Love the decor inside. I didn't realize they were showing the World Cup here. I would have stayed if I wasn't working. I ordered a Yemeni Latte and it is good. The spinach fatayer is good. First time trying it. I ordered a pistachio croissant to try but they ran out . Some lady took my latte, but the workers were able to quickly make me another one. Now that I know this place is nearby, will definitely hit it up again to try out the other items. This will be a great place to catch up with friends or just chill. Parking might be an issue though since lots of people go to the gym, but it should be fine.

Went during their soft opening week. The latte was watery and didn't have much of an espresso taste to it. The matcha also wasn't the greatest, it tasted like milk. But the inside was cute and we tried their pastries which we enjoyed! Just not the drinks so much.

Sana'a Cafe opened a month ago where Starbucks once was. New luxurious decor. Less seating than other locations. Signage hard to see on drive by. No signs in front, just on side or the back. Next to 76 gas station, across from Target. Large parking lot, nearly full. Offerings: coffee beans, cake slices, pastries, tea (hot/iced), espressos, Yemeni Specialty drinks, iced Yemeni Specialty drinks, refreshers. Greeted upon arrival. Order taken when cashier was free. Got drink in minutes. Sips: Turkish coffee (12 oz, 4.99) black, no sugar. -very smooth, bold flava, no harshness. Very fine coffee grounds in drink. Results clearly refreshing. -best Turkish coffee drank recently. -house & Jerimah Picks coffee beans sold at counter. 4.5 stars. Fast service. Quantity/Quality very good.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Sana'a! This is the third Yemeni cafe I've been to and it won't be the last. I was driving by and noticed their soft opening signs. They had just opened two days prior and I stopped by for a drink and snacks. Gone is the past Starbucks and here is the beautifully decorated space with cream interior and gold accents. Eats: Iced Adeni Chai, 50% sweet recommended Dubai croissant Chocolate croissant Za'atar & cheese fatayer Chicken musakhan rolled savory pastry I always opt for iced chai, or hot if it's chilly outside. They informed me the iced variety would take some time and it took more than twenty minutes. I enjoyed the drink but hope it comes out faster next time. I love za'atar baked goods! It's like this mashed seed mixture with a unique taste, savory nutty and almost sour? Kinda wish they had a flatbread with this. Chicken musakhan was tasty! They can warm it up. The sweet pastries weren't the freshest though. The chocolate croissant was stale. The kataifi on the Dubai croissant was soft instead of crisp. At least it wasn't super sweet. They just opened so turn over rate for the sales may be low. Looking forward to trying their milk cakes next! Customer service is nice and helpful. I do suggest assigning order numbers to each transaction. My order was finally done and the person calling it out just said all the items. Number system would work better.

The staff were super nice but service was a bit slow, I wasn't in a rush so it wasn't a huge deal. The matcha had too much milk for my preference and I had my cheese fatayer warmed up but it was still cold in the center. I warmed it up when I got home and it was DELICIOUS I understand they just opened so I'm willing to come back and try again! Overall not a bad experience but there is room for growth

Newest Yemeni coffee spot in the area and they did not miss with the location. Spacious, vibrant interior with plenty of seating! You can study, work, catch up with a friend, or just post up with a drink. Workers are very kind -- Walked in and was greeted right away. Helped me through the menu since I wasn't sure what to get and made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time. Place is also nicely ventilated which is a small detail but goes a long way when you're planning to sit for a while. A lot of cafes get stuffy. Not this one. The Sana'a latte was the move -- Got it iced with ginger and cinnamon. The honey was the star, perfectly blended so you tasted it in every sip without it being overwhelming or syrupy sweet. Ginger and cinnamon added warmth even on ice. Smooth, balanced, didn't need to add anything. Overall, great spot to stop by after the gym. I am looking forward to coming back to study here.

Cappuccino with egg and cheese fatayer

Finally I was able to try this cafe. I wasn't familiar with the menu items, so I choose and egg and cheese fatayer with a cappuccino. It was a bit spicier than I expected, but I ate it. I hope to go back and try other items as it all looked very tasty. I came early, but I saw that they close late. I love that. I've been looking for a cafe that closes late like in NYC.

It's becoming my daily spot after work, quiet and peaceful. Great music and the snacks are the best The Adani chai tastes exactly like how I make it at home And never disappoints!! Baristas are super thoughtful and super friendly! 10/10

I came to this new Sana'a cafe location opposite target on Whipple and I have to critical that this place is much better while on soft opening than the other location. Coffee was hot and good. Pistachio croissant was excellent and even the pistachio cake was great

I came to this cafe twice in two days and both times the people working here have been a JOY! I will always support when I see a Sana'a cafe, they never miss! I will be back and highly recommend!

First vIsit here- ordered 2 of the mango passion fruit refreshers. It was just ok because it tasted like coffee. The biscoff milk cake was good. Service was good. Will try again next time...

The place looks really nice, visually appealing, and offers a taste of not only the food but also the music. Shafa helped us out with good recommendations and answered all of our questions about the items. Shout out to the Minerva, Marwa, and Maryam they were also a delight. Would come back 11/10 :)

Creamy and slightly fruity with that thick buttery crust-- amazing! Pistachio Ricotta cake was light and moist. Perfect when you want something delicately sweetened for tea time. Red Velvet cheesecake cup was just ok for me due to the cheesecake frosting. I think I would've preferred a whole slice of cake instead. Step inside and go directly to the dessert display to place an order. They're also on DoorDash. Can't wait to see what Chef Nile comes up with next!

I finally found some time to visit with my cousin on a quiet Friday early afternoon. We were greeted to a beautiful, clean, and well organized store by the kind and polite owner, Areej. The vibe of the store very much so echoed a candy store you'd find in a shopping mall, except all the sweet treats are handmade and imported from countries such as Palestine and Turkey. Areej was very kind and welcoming and walked us through each of the different sweet treats, such as truffles and Turkish delights. There are also various mixed roasted nuts options with unique seasonings, and even Dubai chocolate strawberry cups! Areej was kind and generous, providing ample samples of the Turkish delights in flavors like Oreo, Dubai chocolate, birthday cake, and even sesame chocolate! My cousin also really likes their mixed party nuts that had a great spicy kick to it from a special blend of imported spices. Because of Areej's hospitality and generosity, as well as the prime quality of the chocolate truffles, mixed toasted nuts, and Turkish delights we were able to sample, I definitely did not hesitate to take home some delectable goodies (see photos). There also were skincare products made in Palestine, and I bought this homemade rose scented olive oil soap that I'll be gifting to my friend for her birthday :) Thank you so much, Areej, for being so welcoming! We will definitely recommend to others and come back! PS: It was mentioned that in the past, many people would walk in, sample large amounts of the shop's goodies, and then rudely leave the store without buying anything. Honestly, that's so distasteful! We need to support small businesses as much as possible, and even buying as much as one tiny chocolate truffle helps sustain businesses like The Old City Roastery. Businesses that make our diverse SF Bay Area so rich in culture and high-quality foreign culinary cuisines. Have some decorum, yall!!
