The "crack" was a seam and no need to do anything right now. Sanchez Mechanical will be my first and only call for my annual furnace service and future replacement (our furnace is on the older side). BAD EXPERIENCE. I do not recommend Sanchez Mechanical! I was having issues with my AC, so I called Sid because of his reviews. When he arrived, he seemed like he was in a rush to be done. He charged my AC and fixed a stem valve, then said I was good to go. He never even checked the air coming out of my vents; he just said I was good and collected his money. My AC was blowing out cool, not cold, air at 65 degrees. I called him back, and he said my unit was old and I needed to buy a new one. Keep in mind, he never stepped foot in my house except to collect payment. I got a second opinion, and it turns out my coils in my furnace and outside were clogged. After another company cleaned the coils, my AC is right where it should be, blowing out COLD air at 55 degrees. But Sid told me multiple times he has been doing this as long as I have been alive... How many other people has he scammed into replacing their units? read more

Before Sid arrived at my place this afternoon I had received multiple, highly expensive full HVAC system replacement quotes after a technician from one of those tv ads told me I needed a new compressor. When I reached out to Sid (for another full hvac replacement quote), he was here within an hour. After taking a quick look at my AC unit, he says "you don't need a compressor, you need a run capacitor" without hesitation, he walks to his truck, gets the part and installs it. I asked Sanchez Mechanical (Sid) to check my upstairs AC Unit which I thought could be low on refrigerant. Sid checked the unit on two different days and told me that the refrigerant level was fine and that at this time he did not see any other issues. Sid is very professional and keeps his appointments. A couple of weeks ago I was looking for an AC guy because ours was leaking. Quite a few people recommend Sid Sanchez from Sanchez Mechanical and I can't help myself from wondering why? He was probably one of the ruder people I have encountered in a while. He wouldn't fix our system and told my husband what to do. Fine, Sid. Well while we were on vacation we had a full system failure. I called him again and he got annoyed that I called and proceeded to tell my husband how to fix it without even coming here and looking. The fix involved dealing with high voltage equipment, so we called Aspen Creek. They came out and replaced our system within 48 hours. So from this consumer, DO NOT USE SANCHEZ MECHANICAL. There are more reputable outfits, like Aspen Creek, that treat their customers with kindness. I'm not one to write this stuff but Sid was a complete asshole to me and my husband. read more

My furnace quit working on the coldest day of the winter so far. Called two other places I saw online but they couldn't come for a week, so I called Sid Sanchez and he said "text your first name, last name and address to this number " and he was here within 20 minutes! Popped open my furnace, discovered a combustion motor that wasn't working, went back to his shop to get one and had my my heat working within about an hour from my first phone call. Simply amazing service. And since I have an old furnace, he didn't recommend putting much money into it, so he got me the same used part from another furnace he had for much less than I would have paid for new. Let's just say I've seen purses cost more than what he charged me to fix my furnace!! Very happy. Will be calling Sid for problems in the future with Heat or AC. read more

It is unfortunate that I have to leave this review for Sid, owner of Sanchez Mechanical, Inc. I recently purchased a new home in December and had the seller agree to install a new furnace. Sid Sanchez Mechanical ended up installing a new unit. Fast forward to spring and my AC was not working. Luckily I was able to get the seller to purchase a warranty of appliances and hvac with the transaction for my new home. I called the warranty company and they sent out a technician to diagnose the issue. I followed the technician everywhere and when he opened the main board on the new furnace unit a few wires were not connected. I figure the previous company (Sid) just missed them by accident. Apparently all the AC wires were not connected. I decided to call Sid and let him know and see if he would cover the $85 service charge I was billed due to the wires not being connected. I explained what had happened and Sid immediately stopped me and lectured me on how bad home warranties are and that it must be my first home if I got one. I almost felt like he was ridiculing me for having the warranty. I let him know this is my 6th home and a warranty paid by the seller was better than nothing. I agree with Sid and I wouldn't typically purchase a warranty, but hey, this was an added bonus to nothing. Once I stopped him from rambling about home warranties, I explained that the wires were missed with his installation and that I witnessed and saw the disconnected wires before the warranty technician connected the wires back up to the main circuit board. Sid immediately lectured me again on how things should be wired and that he would never do anything like that. Sid was offended that I was calling him to explain what had happened and that I would even assume it was him. He immediately dismissed all wrongdoing because he is perfect and never makes mistakes. Anyhow, I wasn't going to argue over $85 dollars so I let him know at least I had the opportunity to let him know he made a mistake. I always had respect for this guy, Sid, since he had installed a furnace in my parents' house 15 years ago and the system is still running strong. He was also featured on the Denver news. I believe his work is still very good considering my parents unit is still running strong; however, I think he has issues accepting mistakes and is very rude and defensive when an issue that may be his fault comes up. Also, he likes to lecture you on the phone like you're an idiot. Nightmare to deal with if that .0001% percent chance of Sid making a mistake lands on you. Sid Sanchez showed up exactly on time wearing a mask and that is all good. But what was exceptional was the fact that he told me the truth, unlike the last furnace repairman who did a "tune-up". You see, having spent most of my life in the northeast where oil burners were in need of a yearly cleaning and tuning up, gas fired furnaces do not! Sid took off the metal covers, asked me, "How's it running?" Assuring him that my gas furnace is running great, he said, "You're good to go. Call me in the spring and I'll check your AC." This company is beyond amazing. Sid is one of the nicest people I have ever met. At no time did he ever try and up sale us at all. He came exactly when he said he would be here. He fixed our air conditioning within 15 minutes and had everything up and running. He also went over in detail what to do to prevent it going forward. The greatest company and I would highly recommend them. Very affordable. We called him after hours on a Tuesday and he answered immediately. He said he couldn't get over until the next day in the middle of a heat wave. The next day..I was thinking we were going to have to wait a week or so. We had Sid install our air conditioner 5 years ago and he was great and personable. Our air conditioner was not working off and on the past week, so we called Sanchez Mechanical to come look at it. We were not expecting free service just because they did the install. We called them because the A/ C install was reasonable and they were so nice at the time. Different story when you call them for service. They came out checked for clogs and topped off the Freon. It worked for a day and then started making a funny noise and not blowing cold air. We called him again, and he acted very put out and was frankly a jerk. Said everything looked fine and left. It was not working fine. Or house was getting into the upper 80s. We then called someone else who determined that they over-filled the Freon which resulted in the system being over-pressurized and turning itself off during the hottest part of the day. BEWARE! Sid the owner is a liar! I had a direct vent heater that I needed to instal. He quoted me one price and then added a $400 line item for a base that he said needed to be installed so my house would not burn down. After the installation I asked about the base, and he said it was installed within the unit. I had two other contractors come and take a look; both said a base was not installed. When I called the manf. of the heater they said a "base" was not needed for wood. In fact, they had no idea what a base was. They recommend a metal plate at the bottom of the unit (for other flooring materials other than wood). I WOULD STAY AWAY. HE IS A THIEF. read more

We own a few properties and gave Sanchez Mechanical a call a few years back when one of our tenants was having HVAC issues. The owner, Sid, was punctual, reliable, and gave us a competitive bid. He did the work for the amount quoted. Since then, we've had other needs with our rental properties. Most recently, our tenant's AC went out on a 90+ degree day. Sid went there that same afternoon, and because our tenants were having important guests coming, he came back the next morning before the sun was even up with the new unit and didn't charge any special price for expediting it. Sanchez mechanical missed the 1st appointment to give me an estimate. I called Sidney and he had me confused with another person. Sid Came out the next day. Upon arriving Sid walked into my home wanted to look at the furnace, and wanted to go look at my a/c. Sid quickly stated my a/c was leaking PURON (it isn't) Sid didn't want to look at anything else. He didn't take a few minutes to check my furnace static pressure or anything else. Sid didn't ask me about my concerns, such as comfort, airflow, short cycling, etc. I explained to him that I had a load calc (manual J) done and Sid explained that the furnace size the load calc stated was wrong, and the other things I had been told by other HVAC people was wrong. Upon leaving (about 15 minutes later) since he was in a hurry, I explained to Sid to just go ahead and email me a quote. He said he didn't do things that way he stated "I like to do things easy" and he took out a brochure and simply wrote a number down and told me that was my estimate. Very unprofessional. STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE THAT WONT PUT THINGS IN WRITING! Be an informed consumer and protect yourself. When spending a bunch of money on things like this (Even when not) its smart to get everything in writing, whats going to be done, price, etc. Without things in writing, the consumer will not know what exactly will be done, and its easy to add things later saying they needed to be done which will end up costing much more. read more
