Stopped here a few years ago on a road trip vacation. Stayed at a local hotel and searched for restaurant in the area and stumbled upon Las Palmas. Went in and multiple people had shrimp or seafood cocktails that were monster sized. Just went for a burrito and it was delicious. Fast forward to last night, and again staying in a nearby hotel and went to Las Palmas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's nothing to look at...just a food stand in a gas station.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the lady who took our order was friendly and nice and helpful. Wife ordered a quesadilla with shredded chicken. I got a carne asada burrito with rice and guacamole. They also have a salsa bar...I got the salsa verde and some of the spicy jalapeños, carrots, and onions. Everything tasted great. Lots of carne asada and guacamole in the burrito. The salsa was perfect, and my wife also enjoyed hers. Neither of us could finish. Total cost with a large drink was $26. Overall great value and very good food. Much better than the standard fast food options. read more

It's ok... the meat was salty and service was lacking. I went for a run so I can in starving so it's not hard to satisfy my hunger at that point lol I got the nachos and the carne asada was salty. I asked for no beans and rice on the side for the nachos and got my nachos with everything in it. The cook seemed annoyed when the cashier asked him for the changes. I've tried authentic Mexican food and this is not it. But, it was cheap, filling and quite cheesy. The lady was answering the phone while bringing our food out, and she quite literally spilled the beans. Half the beans fell out but she was on the phone... she came back to clean them up. She didn't apologize, or offer to bring new beans out. Well.. it was close to the EV charging location and about the only restaurant open after 8pm other than Cracker Barrel. It is located in the same building as the service station market. Good service. Menu seemed fairly extensive. Food on the basic side; served on paper plates. I had enchiladas. Unfortunately I work up repeatedly that night with abdominal/GI issues. Low key OBSESSED. I am so happy I found this place! It's a hidden hole-in-the-wall gem!!! Very authentic, so flavorful, amazing sauces, generous portions - I could go on (and I will, since this is a yelp review) Yes, it happens to be inside of a gas station, but I was getting takeout and it adds to the charm. The restaurant was very clean and cute. The workers were friendly, but my order did take almost 20 minutes. Got a chimichanga and 2 asada sopes. I thought the sopes looked small but they were very filling and packed with flavor. I put some of the light green creamy sauce on it - that sauce absolutely slaps, I want to get a jug of it and put it on everything. My chimichanga had more than enough flavor to eat a la carte, but I still chose to douse every bite in the green sauce. YUM! Next time I roll through St. George I will absolutely go out of my way to stop here. Will probably try some tacos next time, and of course, smother them with their green sauce. read more

We were researching for a quick breakfast burrito and came across this place located inside of a gas station. Don't let that fool you, this place was authentic. I only had a bacon breakfast burrito but it was fantastic. It was simple! A burrito with house potatoes, egg, cheese and lots of bacon. I was too hungry that I forgot to get a photo. The Machaca burrito was Fire! However I had my order delivered and there was no salsa with my burrito. There was no place to ask for salsa with the online order and delivery. I have never had a burrito takeout or deliver that salsa wasn't automatically given so I trusted the process. After I cried and died a little inside, I ate the burrito and was grateful I am living in a time and era I can have food delivered to me in my robe and not leave my house. Food was delicious! We had the bacon bfast burrito. I've never had a burrito with so much bacon! And it's very good bacon! We shared a burrito as it was very large. They have a great salsa bar with pickled onions/carrots/peppers, radishes as well as cucumbers. It's run by family and they are so very nice! This is not good Mexican food. Comparable to other places in town but if you are used to California Mexican, do not eat here. Expensive for a taqueria and the meat is not good quality. Al Pastor just tasted like mush and the Carne asada has the texture of rubber. Cheese quesadilla was the best thing we ordered and it cost $11. I could have made 15 of them at home for that price. I drive through St. George a lot and am very happy to have found this spot for good and quick Mexican food! They have a nice selection (including more exotic things like brain, tongue, and tripe tacos), their salsas are good and are actually spicy, and the food quality is surprisingly good -- nice flavors, not greasy. It's a hole in the wall and shares a building with a Texaco, but don't let that dissuade you. The food is a lot better than the average sit-down Mexican restaurant. Also, they were even open on Christmas! And the staff was polite and friendly. I'll definitely stop here again. read more

Crunchy Carne Asada Tacos is what my boyfriend got and he gave them 5 stars and [[HIGHLIGHT]]their Horchata had to run inside to use the restroom and they were SUPER clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the customer service was Hella on Point as well. 5 stars across the board and I don't even mess with spanish restaurants that are connected to gas stations but this place is definitely The Only Exception! Absolutely dog shit you pay 11 dollars for a carneasada burrito to only get no meat rice and beans. No guacamole no Pico this place gave me pork on my burrito two times in a row I complained and asked them to fix the problem got hung up on called back and went in the next day to have them re make me my burrito witch was the same thing as the night before pork rice and beans nothing extra. I compared both of them as I had the one I didn't eat in my refrigerator from the night before. Both look and taste the same as pork. This is absolutely disgusting and I would never recommend anyone going to this worthless shit hole. Subway in that gasststion was a much better options then this worthless mud hole of a place with poor customer service. Negative ---10 stars for my whole family they got the carneasada fresh right but with very little meat. But to server someone pork who could be allergic is completely fucked up and isn't okay especially twice in a row. Fuck this place worst experience I have ever received from a Mexican restaurant.
