I have been here twice and had the carnitas nachos both times the first night it was so lovely, we ate up on the rooftop my Husband and I. Food was great, we shared the carnitas nachos. The service was lovely two sweet ladies who truly cared and made the experience. I was so impressed I went back the next day with my Mom for a late lunch and the waitress was rude she was a beautiful sassy black women. No patience and just not nice and the carnitas nachos were cold. It was a totally different experience, probably a different cooking crew. While the food and atmosphere is great, the lack of attention to the customers is horrendous. The 2 times I've been here (Nov '21) and may '22 both our servers were awful. They disappear and never come back to check. Last server was texting while trying to take our order and never brought the waters. Interesting spot for drinks and tacos. If I would have gone just for drinks, I would have given it 4 stars. They have outside and inside sitting. They also have rooftop sitting, but we realized we were going to wait a long time to be waited on upstairs. As soon as we sat inside, a waitress came to our table. We started out with the shrimp balls. You get three good sized balls with the order. They are crispy and with just the right flavor. They are on the spicy side. The vegetarian nachos were just ok. Nothing to write home about. The tortillas for the tacos were super. I loved that they were homemade. The carnitas tacos were good. The vegetarian tacos were a let down. It was bean and cheese with avocado. My boyfriend was super disappointed with the borracho beans. Think ranch style beans. They didn't have any meat in them. The drinks were ok. We enjoyed the Rita Rita. It had avocado in it. The pomegranate margarita was more juice than anything else. The chocolate sancho was yummy! Our waitress was on point. Very cool location to just chill. The upper deck was the perfect setting to listen to music unless you prefer to be up front and center from the band which is located on the main floor. Going up and down the spiral staircase can be challenging on a windy night when wearing a dress so women beware! We went with a burger, picadillo nachos and the shrimp croquettes. We finished every bite so no complaints on the food. Service was quick and friendly. On top of this, we decided to end our night at Sanchos so parking was easy to come by. Went on Thursday for karaoke boy was I disappointed. The guy CJ has his favorite people there and you can tell. For one the employees get to sing more than the customers. Even CJ gets to sing before the customers. I waited an hour and when I asked when I my turn was he said "After two singers then your turn." I waited two, three, four, five, six, seven on the either singer I decided to leave. Tried to complain to the waitress who said she could do nothing about it. I asked her to tell management about what the DJ did to me. I was patient but this CJ apparently doesn't like me so he wasn't about to let me sing. Sad, I left after speaking to two more employees who all acted like the DJ a CJ had total control of the music and there was nothing that could be done for his shoddy unprofessional behavior. Maybe I don't fit in that area of town but there was some bias against me I believe because I'm straight. It's a reverse prejudice, in my opinion, so I will never return to that place again. Intend to talk to management tomorrow so they can do something for the paying customers!!! Let's see if it accomplishes anything. Sanchos, you get 4-Stars because your shrimp tacos were delicious! You had a live blues/Jazz band playing the night I visited and I'm told you always have live music which is the best! And lastly because it was so cold outside and my brother wanted to sit in the patio and thankfully you guys had blankets available to keep customers warm while sitting outside!!! It was all so wonderful! EXCEPT, the damn server. Where I come from, the service industry is golden. So imagine my surprise when It came to ordering my drink, my brother had mentioned that Sanchos has the BEST margaritas in town, made to perfection he said- and then I find out they're made frozen (whomp, whomp, whomp) - just not my style of margarita. I love tequila, and I was bummed to learn how the margarita was made, so I opted for a margarita "on the rocks" instead. When I told the sever, she said "sorry it's made frozen" and I said "well I prefer to have it on the rocks CLEARLY this is bar, so it's not impossible to make it on the rocks I explained to her, her response, a big ol' fat EYE ROLL !!! Our original waitress forgot about us and we waved down another one that ended up helping us. They (waitresses) carry everyone's credit on themselves under their writing pad and this is a bit concerning. I saw several drop people's cards . This is concerning. Very laid back vibe, with good food and drinks! The tacos are amazing, and are made with homemade corn tortillas. I recommend the porkbelly and carnitas! We also got a small order (actually pretty decent sized) of the nachos and shared that between two people. For the nachos we got the Picadillo meat option, which is a mixture of ground beef, onions and potatoes! I'm not a big fan of ground beef, but this was pretty delicious. I do recommend the avocado and original frozen margaritas, both really good! There are a few tvs by the bar , if there ever is a game on I recommend going there to watch it. There is a rooftop, but it was kinda underwhelming. It definitely has a lot of potential if they decorated it more and had better seating, or maybe another tv up there? I usually like this place. I mean, the drinks are always good. But when my friend and I decided to go have some drinks yesterday around 2pm, we ordered some chips and queso that didn't taste very good. We even told the male bartender that was assisting us, but he didn't seem to care very much. We continued to order another round to see if maybe he would notice, but he didn't, so decided to take off after that. I did not leave a tip because he didn't seem to care that we were not satisfied with the chips and queso and he did not care to ask why or take it off our bill since we only touched them once. We actually left the whole thing there. Anyways, I left without leaving a tip because like I said, we were not satisfied with the overall service. Today I check my bank statement and it shows that my card was charged twice: once for my bill and another time for $10.00. Is it because I did not leave a tip? HMMM...Seems pretty suspicious to me. I reported it to my bank and they are looking into it for me to make sure my card was not charged without my consent. If so, some pretty shady stuff. read more

I've driven by Sancho's a thousand times since moving here in 2007, but I never went in until Cinco de Mayo. I'm just sad I didn't try it sooner because the atmosphere was just what I needed that day. There's a ton of great seating options between the inside bar and the multiple patios. Pretty much everything on the menu looked good so I had a hard time deciding what to get but eventually settled on the pork belly tacos which were AMAAAAAAZING! Also, the chorizo queso...let me tell you about the chorizo queso: sooooo damn good, especially considering how picky I am when it comes to queso. I'll be back for these two things alone but I'm willing to bet that anything else I try will be just as good. read more
