But getting back to the service it was a busy night and we had five check-ins from two different servers one of them could have been the manager unsure but excellent service cheerful friendly place good for families we saw lots of children and obviously good for sports on TV. read more

This is a fun place to have a dinner and socialize with friends. Food is good and prices are reasonable. They have half price appetizers from 3 pm to 5 pm from Monday - Thursday. On Wednesday is the classic car show. DJ Johnny playing tunes. read more

Slim and Chubby's has good food and an eclectic assortment of feature entrées. We've had pierogis, shrimp ziti, burgers, beef Stroganoff and wraps. All were good. The place is kind of dark inside or you can sit on their patio if you want some sun. The service has been lack-luster. Some wait staff seem to pulling the weight for others. Last time we were taken care of by a waitress that wasn't even supposed to be ours while ours NEVER saw us. read more

Crab legs & mussels were way over cooked. I ate them because I was hungry but never again. I ate lunch here on May 18, 2025. Our waiter was very busy BUT they need some better Cooks! They have popcorn!!! I love a popcorn machine and the fresh popcorn while waiting for food!! We both ordered burgers - mine was the Slim's Bigger Bog and my husband had the Volcano burger. Both were very good. I had onion rings and husband had fries. They were both good as well. read more

Went here on recommendation from a friend. Kind of surprised at the prices. 13.50 for potato skins? They were on a par with Courtyard Café in Brecksville and this place had nowhere near the class. When it came time to pay the bill it was the final straw. They charge to use your Master Card. This is a big NO for me! I am not paying their bills. This is an expense incurred by restaurants or any other business for years. It's what they signed up for, it's what they get. I'm sick of getting gouged. 2/10/23 Go there for the fish dinners on Fridays. The ambience is mostly like a biker bar or sports bar, but really good people in there. I admit I only go there on Fridays for the fish, but they have the perfect fish dinners. You have a choice of Cod or Lake Erie Perch, and the Perch is my weak spot. Beta is the owner/waitress, and really cares for her customers. It's a long drive for me, but I'm planning on going other days to try other things. Good place for eats and drinks. They have multiple TVs to watch sports, sometimes a live band and then a heated outdoor patio. The food was really good. Our table had chicken wings( huge, hot and juicy), burger, fried perch and a triple decker sandwich. The place did get pretty busy but our server was hustling to ensure everyone had food and drinks and taken care of. The food was hot and drinks cold. Another bad experience here. I feel bad for restaurant owners as it seems they all have trouble getting enough quality staff. But that being said, when you can't deliver on the basics, there is a problem. Saturday night. About 8pm. Ordered a beer and boneless wings. Mild. MILD. C'mon guys. I got wings that were way too hot. Outer crust texture was like they had sat around for a day or two. Waited for waitress to come out again. Never came. Another waitress asked if I was ready to check out. Said yes. She pointed to a couple of tables where staff and their friends were sitting. They should help you. I told her my waitress was inside. She finally came out. She offered to replace or take off bill. I said no, just please check me out. If you cannot cook simple boneless chicken wings, I have zero confidence in anything else the cook might attempt. Won't be back. Had prior bad experiences there. Tuesday night trivia appears to be rigged. Every time we go there, the same team is always winning. Although, if you were not allowed to use cell phones, we noticed that this team was continually on self phones or a laptop. Slim and Chubby's is a pretty typical sports bar, with a menu that coincides with the sports bar vibe. The food in and of itself is alright, but the prices are appropriate for the food. I wish the bar felt cleaner, because the place is sort of dilapidated and rundown. A few buddies and I stopped for a bite a few nights ago, and all of us were satisfied with our food (the service was also pretty solid), but I wouldn't say that anyone was rushing to be back. All in all, Slim and Chubby's is not a bad spot, but you're not going to have the best experience of your life here, either. read more

Won't be going back anytime soon! Why?!?!? Service sucks, well, maybe not if you're a "regular". Was there for 45 minutes tonight at the bar. Took almost ten minutes to be able to order a beer. Drinking slowly, took until I was 2/3 through the beer before she asked if I wanted something to eat. Ordered a burger and another beer. 20+ minutes later, no beer, no burger. All while watching obvious "regulars" being waited on hand and foot, even by staff that wasn't working behind the bar. Finally threw some money on the bar and walked out. "Regulars" might be your bread and butter, but you cultivate "regulars" by taking care of "non-regulars" (I've been there a few times in the last couple of months). Was having good service until our waitress was leaving her shift so we paid our bill with her and absolutely Nobody took over for her. Then when my Husband asked a man who was working there who could help our table he looked at him VERY rudely and snapped who are you and where is your table which was less than a foot away from where they were standing. When my husband pointed to where we were sitting (party of 4) he did nothing to make sure we would be waited on nor did he apologize or make sure he got someone to take care of our table. Totally disrespectful and ridiculous. Would Never ever recommend this place or ever ever never go back. That man has no business working in hospitality or anywhere around people. We stopped by on a Saturday night with friends for dinner. We ordered dinner and the waitress disappeared. I lost it when people that came in after us got their food before our dinner arrived. I sent mine back as I will not pay for "POOR SERVICE"!! The food finally arrived but it was way too late to save this place as I will not be back!! Great crowd but they need to work on delivering to the people that are paying for service!! To add insult to an already bad situation when the waitress brought our final bill they added $1.00 surcharge to every beer since the final bill was printed after 9:00 pm. I asked for a manager and she explained the surcharges. I explained that our 5 beers were ordered and drank before 9:00 pm. She agrees to refund me $4.00 and to get out in a timely manner I requested that she just give the $4.00 to the waitress. read more

Celebrated my 50th birthday here last night. Had the French Dip and Chubby Triple Decker. The au juis was salty, otherwise good. The triple Decker is no joke. So good and filling. Watch out. 1st there there no menus. Your place mat is your menu. And menu prices say market value for some odd reason for steaksteak,etc. Four of us ordered all items that had prices.
