I took seven teenage boys to Sandbox Cerritos, and they were not easy to manage. Spencer helped us with our booking after there was a miscommunication with the event team. He was amazing, professional, and incredibly patient with the boys throughout the visit. Spencer truly deserves a raise. He is the best, very professional, helpful, and accommodating. We are definitely planning to visit again this summer!

Having fun checking out their avatars

An amazing experience for older teens and as parents to be able to watch them play and enjoy themselves. The video that they play at the end of your experience was great too. They split your gaming experience with you playing in VR gear. Definitely will come back!!!

Great experience! We came here for my son's 20th birthday! Staff was super helpful. Shoutout to Spencer A and Spencer E for making it memorable.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Sandbox! This was our first visit, and we came to celebrate my son's birthday. From start to finish, the experience was flawless and incredibly fun. A huge thank you to Gisselle -- she was wonderful! She made sure we knew exactly what to do and helped make everything smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. The best part was the surprise at the end: when the team found out it was my son's birthday, they set up a special VR birthday moment just for him. It was such a cool touch and made the experience feel truly magical. Worth every penny! Thank you all for making our night unforgettable!

I came here for my birthday and had the best time! I'm forever young so I jump at the chance to do any kind of fun, active outing. Plus, I'm a huge fan of Squid Games. Choosing this game was a no brainer. We can't wait to come back and shoot zombies! I've done vr before but this is especially awesome because you get the side by side video to relive the adventure! i only wish they recorded the entire session. But, even the snippets are still really cool. i highly recommend Sandbox VR over any other VR out there.

Best out of the 4 of the group! Get the Crossbow!

Went with a group of 4 of us and had a great time! The checkin process was straight forward and easy. We ended up choosing the New Zombie map and was honestly a fun one! Lots of pop-up scared and pretty tricky if you don't have teamwork! Ended up winning the game and felt a bit too short with 4 people - was about 20 minutes and should be more difficult with more people or something. Regardless - was a good time and staff was super sweet!

    GAME ON!!!

We went today for my son's lincoln 15th birthday. Spencer A and Hector where there to greet us and get the boys ready to fight some zombies. They were really nice and helpful in explaining all the info for them. I would recommend this place and I love that they give us a video of there experience at the end.

Ask the Community - Sandbox VR

Is it safe/do you have equipment for 6 year olds?

Thank you very much for your inquiry. All of the equipment is safe, but is a little bit on the heavier side. It is suggested that the player be 7 years or older to comfortably play. However, there are always exceptions as children come in all shapes…

How long does it take to receive your video through email?

We got ours within a few minutes of leaving.

Can we get the the full video? We just got our trailer and it is very short

Unfortunately we don't provide the full video of the experiences. We provide 2 trailer style videos to the experience that showcase what you see in the game and what's going on in real life; both at no cost. We do encourage live streaming if you…

    Is there an age minimum?

Must be 48" or taller and be able to support the weight of 20lbs for up to an hour. This is the equipment you have to wear and carry in your hand. My 12 year old nephew is athletic build, he had a blast but definitely tiring!

How many people can you accommodate?

Thank you very much for your question! The experiences have storylines that accommodate up to 6 players. We do larger parties and just split them among our other rooms. You can either book the rooms or call at (562) 888-8753 to hear about our party…

Do you play All of the games or just the one you choose?

You pick one game and play for the allotted time.

How much is it per person?

It is $42 per player Monday-Thursday; $45 per player Friday-Sunday

How long does a gaming session last?

It is about 10-15 minutes of signing in, listening to rules, getting all the gear on, then you get a 3-5 minute tutorial for whatever game you're playing, after that it is 25-30 minutes of gameplay. Afterward it takes 5-10 minutes to get out of the…

I loved the creativity and variety in the activities, it kept everyone actively engaged and nobody ever got bored. It might have been because we were all adults and they are used to a much younger clientele, but I hoped our group leaders would be a little more enthusiastic working with us since our group was a little low energy at some points. The second half of the day was more focused on personal goals and achievements, pushing your limits, and trusting in yourself and others. This one should be full of encouragement. Some of us were a lot more game for the ropes course than others but everyone did feel a sense of achievement and satisfaction at the end of the day. If you have never tried a ropes course/team building activities like the ones here at Camp Fire USA, I highly recommend it! It is a great experience and you'll make many fun memories!

And this takes the cake as my all time favorite. The courses have great holes, with a large variety of simple classic style holes. But the place really shines in decor and atmosphere. It really leans into a more vintage vibe, considering this place is nearly 60 years old the grounds are immaculate, which is unheard of anywhere near LA. Amazing buildings and hedge arches dot the real turfed landscape. Vintage music plays out of old megaphones. Did I mention the place is massive? The parking lot holds maybe 400 cars, but expect it to be nearly full. It has vintage bumper boats, an arcade and 4 18 hole courses. If you're going to prioritize smaller parties, at least be transparent about it so larger groups can plan accordingly instead of just waiting around for nothing. The place is fun, but the service and wait management really need improvement--especially for bigger groups. Definitely something to consider before coming with a large party.
