Tried the egg salad sando from their pop up in Anaheim. The egg was cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that the crust was not removed (gasp!) which took away from the pillowy softness of the shokupan . However, I do recommend it, for those who have never tried a Japanese egg sando

The workers of sandoitchi are so sweet. We were able to taste a wide variety of flavors: strawberry (4), chicken katsu (5), ube mango (3), and another fried sando but strawberry flavored (4). It was a pop up at an 88rising night market and the service was excellent and fast. I ranked each flavor from 1-5.

Need order couple days ahead and setup pick up time, the sandwiches looks good and the sauce was interesting, but maybe not mixing well? I have the spicy pork sandwich, the first piece was not spicy at all, then the other piece is ten times spicier, the meat is top of the line and they do a good job to prepare it, no fat no tendons no any unwanted part, but not much flavor, The bad was they should know should never put any hot toasted bread in to the box as soon as they have it made, the steam will make it soggy, don't think will do this again, sorry.....overrated?

    Egg Salad Sandwich. Outstanding.

I ordered the quarter bird with mild spice, fries, and banana pudding. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the mild spice level was perfect for me. It had a little kick without being too spicy. The fries were really good and seasoned well. I also enjoyed the banana pudding, which was a nice sweet treat after the meal. One thing that stood out to me was how friendly the employees were. Even though it was busy, they were welcoming and provided great customer service, which made the experience even better. Overall, I had a great experience. Between the delicious food and the friendly staff, I can see why so many people recommend this place. I'd definitely come back again when I'm craving hot chicken.

Winner Winner Chicken errr... Lunch…read more So we are always skeptical if there is way too much hype surrounding a eatery. However in the case of Howlin Ray's the hype is justified. The staff were super friendly and on point The Food: (A word on heat. They have 6 levels from Country with none to Howlin. We can take a decent amount of heat. I went medium and my son went hot. The medium was just the right balance with a nice burn especially on the back end. The next level, hot, was also really good and hit close to our limit) The Sando: a nice sized chicken breast perfectly fried. The chicken was moist but well cooked and the batter was seasoned perfectly. The slaw added a nice crunch to things, the comeback sauce added richness and the pickles added a brinney crunch to offset the goodness. The bun put up a valiant effort but about of the way through it gave up and the Sando became a fork affair. The Slaw: It was just okay, on the sando it was perfect, on its own, just okay The Macaroni Salad: Glorious, simply glorious. Whatever spicing they were using with the fries seemed evident here giving it a reddish hue. The the bits of dill, onions, and pickles helped balance the whole thing perfectly. This would be right at home on a North Shore plate lunch. Shake Fries: Perfectly fired crinkle fries shaken in that spicing they use. Dipped in the comeback sauce or on their own they were awesome. Banana Pudding: OMG so good. With the traditional vanilla wafer on top. Rich and luscious it was a perfect end to the meal. The only downside? This location is small and if you want to eat there there are only a few tables. Parking also sucked. Those thinks aside excellent place

I added the spicy haberneo peppers and it kicked up the knots big time. Mmm! Then I added droplets of chili oil. Boy, that made my delicious pizza spicier. LoL! Instead, he proceeded to help several other customers, including a male customer who walked up after I had already been waiting. After sitting there being repeatedly overlooked, I left. Maybe it was an accident, but in a sports bar atmosphere where the guys seemed to get immediate attention, it didn't feel great. I can't speak to the pizza because apparently as a woman getting served is a bigger challenge.

Plenty of noodles and beef to go along with it + all the sides. I would go back again when I'm around. Very filling and comforting bowl of soup!!! The sugarcane juice was so so good. There's a hint of orange in it for added flavor, and it works perfectly. It's a bit expensive at 7 dollars, but it hit the spot. Honestly, I'm not hesitant to spend 7-10 dollars on a cup of coffee, so maybe it wasn't truly that expensive. The restaurant itself is fairly unassuming and may not look as fancy and in order as some more new wave places, but the flavors here can't easily be replicated. Easily some of the better pho I've had in LA. Granted, i was really hungry, so that could have factored into the score. Places like this are what i love so much about Chinatown. The atmosphere inside is incredibly welcoming and there was a steady flow of customers coming for the Vietnamese coffee. I'm sad i didn't get to explore this part of the city during its prime, but im happy places like Gigo's are still around to enjoy and appreciate. Give it a try if your around the area and craving some pho.

Overall, great food but service could be a bit more on point.

Since we were trying to eat at as many places without feeling food coma'ed out, we ordered 1 Corn Beef Silog. Calamansi Tonic Espresso and Black Mamba. The Corn Beef Silog was really solid, it was also deep fried in a Panko Crusted outer layer which is their take on a Croquette. We particularly like the crunch it adds to the dish. But yeah it was the corn beef has we were looking for mixed with the good 'ol garlic rice and sunny side up egg. The vinegar they used was a lot stronger than I thought and I think they could do without it. The tonic espresso grew on me, upon first sip, I could taste the tonic and I haven't had tonic before so I wasn't feeling it. Until I mixed it and it got a lot better. What was really cute too, is they have pop up vendors and it was a bread and dessert vendor that are right across the counter. What caught my eye was this apron that was a collaboration between Garden and Seeds x Lasita. It had so many pockets and it went from a short apron to a long one with just a zipper. I bought this for the sole purpose of wearing it as an accessory as Tan/Brown pairs well with black and white clothing. Staff was so nice and helpful when ordering and even inquiring about the apron since there was no price on it. Hopefully we'll be back and can catch them during their dinner service!
