Stopped in for a quick slice before a meeting and sat at the counter. The employee acknowledged me and said he'd be right with me. Instead, he proceeded to help several other customers, including a male customer who walked up after I had already been waiting. After sitting there being repeatedly overlooked, I left. Maybe it was an accident, but in a sports bar atmosphere where the guys seemed to get immediate attention, it didn't feel great. Ordered Lasorteds late night and it hit the spot. Crust was decent, a little on the thicker side than I prefer, but still had some crisp to it. The pepperoni had a nice spicy kick, which was probably the best part, but I wouldn't call it super spicy. I have been eyeing this place for over a year, so the family and I finally stopped by. Stree parking blows on weekends, especially if there is a home game... The place is tiny, with only a handful of tables. It felt like we were on a double date with the couple right next to us, lol. The walls are covered in memorabilia, cool images, bobbleheads, and all kinds of nostalgic baseball stuff. We ordered the fries, buffalo/ lemon pepper mix wings, and the Good Boy pizza. The wings were delicious! The seasoning combination was so flavorful. The pizza was excellent too. I've never tried hot honey glazed on pizza before, but it was a well rounded blend with the pepperoni and burrata. The fries were too fried, I honestly didn't quite like them, but still ate a few. Why 5 stars? Because this stop was not in the plans, but it really worked out for us. --- --- --- I meticulously planned out my vacation, meal by meal, and activity by activity. My first stop was to grab lunch at Howlin' Rays. We found parking and walked up to it, only to find out that it was closed on Monday's. Apparently I wasn't so meticulous. Side note: I then later planned a visit a couple days later, which I also screwed up because I thought they were open later than 7pm. Apparently Howlin' Rays wasn't meant to be. But once I discovered it was closed on Monday, I had to quicky pivot to find an alternative. La Sorted was our winner, so we found more street parking, and headed in. It turns out, I'm really happy we ended up here. We were in town to go to a couple Dodgers games, and the whole place is completely themed around the Dodgers. The food was awesome, but we really enjoyed looking around at all of the Dodger photos from the last 60+ years. But back to the food. A really cool thing they do here is that when a visiting team is in town, they offer one special food item that's tied to that team. We were here as Cleveland fans, and they did this cool Polish dog because CLE has a huge Polish population. There was another Cleveland fan sitting at a table and he told us that we definitely needed to order it, and who are we to argue with such a thing? I really enjoyed the pizza (I tried the Burrata, Mookie and Good Boy slices), but that polish dog might have the best thing. The owners in here really great too, despite us clearly being the enemy. Foul Ball!!! I messed up and wrote my previous La Sorted's review meant for Chinatown location on the Echo Park location.. Anyways, writing another review for La Sorted's based on the Foul Ball foccacia sando. I can't get enough of the foccacia bread at La Sorted's.. The foul ball is a meatball smashed into a patty, served on a garlic foccacia bread, topped with fresh mozza, parm, and a slight spicy tomato sauce. It's a toss up here when it comes to choosing what to eat. It was either the foul ball sando or lasagna pizza (special for February). Service here is really friendly and welcoming. This little pizza spot is a hidden gem in Chinatown. If you're looking for a solid slice, with great prices, this is definitely the place to go. We tried the Mamba, a classic cheese slice, and added hot honey for an extra dollar, which really amped it up, so good! My favorite, though, was the upside-down pizza--where the cheese goes on first and the sauce is layered on top, giving it a great texture. Great food, no frills restaurant with fast service. There's a little nostalgia at La Sorted as you walk around this small dining area with it's very LA vibes and music. There are a few TVs to catch the game and they serve beer to compliment. They offer sandwiches, pizza and a variety of appetizers. We didn't have any pizza but the sandwiches and wings were excellent and the food was fresh and made to order. This place is in Chinatown and very much worth a try if you're in the area. Plenty of street parking around they do take out as well. There is also patio dining, it's a good spot for lunch with coworkers everyone will find something to try. read more

La Sorted's has become a part of our regular rotation when deciding to eat out. Every visit has been exceptional. The aesthetic is obvious, watching a game here is a chill vibe. Menu options has a spectrum from hot dogs, wings, salads and pizza. Try everything itleast once. Caesar kale salad is a go to item 10/10 Hot Buffalo wings pair with lemon pepper and shaken together 20/10 ( you have to ask for the combo when you order, it's not a menu item) Seating inside is limited but outside seating is available which is appreciated with our beautiful weather. I knocked this review down because we were not informed of them being out of a crucial item prior to placing the order. My husband and I came here for the monthly special: a Philippe's collab for a dip style slice on focaccia with au jus and signature hot mustard. When it came out, they informed us they were out of au jus and clearly it didn't have a drizzle of mustard. I inquired so they brought a side. The lack of au jus would have made us order something else. Yes, it was flavorful, but it ate SO dry. The jus would have knocked it out of the park. It also seemed a bit on the cool side, so again, a hot au jus would have helped immensely. The other slices we had (Pepperoni and Good Boy) were solid with the good boy winning the round. I'll be back, but won't hold my breath for the specials. Just wish they were upfront about being out of jus. read more

This place makes me truly feel like I'm in the heart of LA. Food was great and the ranch was probably one of the best that I've tasted ever. Love the mix of beer that they offer as well. This place has the vibe of an old school pizza parlor dripping with nostalgia and Dodger memorabilia. The slices here are thin crust, and there are some creative combinations. I'm a fan of the pizza here and a big fan of the space. The service style is more fast casual where I think you order at the counter and find a table. The space isn't huge, but it does feel cozy and it's not super tiny either. I've been to their other location, which I don't think even has any seating and it's only a window where you order pizza in Echo Park There are a few TVs in here so you could watch sports. I saw some of the football games while I was here. This is also really great place to watch baseball and especially Dodger games. Even though you're pretty much a short walking distance from the actual stadium. I was actually here twice recently. The first time I got a special slice or pie of the month - the sausage and peppers. I also came here during the weekend where they were doing a San Francisco versus Los Angeles weekend with special slices from Tony Gemignani of The Slice House and of course Tommy Brockert. The pies made were 'The High 5' and 'The Lasagna Pie', respectively, and proceeds from the slices that we went to the Dodger Foundation. I thought both slices were great, but I think I would have to give the edge to 'The Lasagna Pie' because I love lasagna and they nailed the flavors. Overall, just a really great place to grab pizza in Chinatown and hang out and watch games. And especially a really great place to watch Dodger games. read more

This is, in the strictest and most litigious sense, a sandwich review. Their PIZZA IS EXCELLENT...dangerously so. The kind of pizza that makes you believe in systems working as intended. Naturally, this gave me hope. Hope, as ever, was the first mistake. I ordered something called the Father-in-Law. It arrives described in a litany of Italian nouns...mortadella, coppa, finocchio, cotto...stacked like a small, edible family tree. There is provolone. There is vinaigrette. There is dijonnaise. I asked for hot giardiniera, because one should always invite a little chaos. The bread, first. Always the bread. It is the stage upon which everything else performs, or fails to. This focaccia did neither. It simply existed. There was a faint suggestion of crust, like a rumor of character. If bread could shrug, this would. Inside, the sandwich becomes ambitious in the way that buffets are ambitious. The meats are piled high. A small mountain range of pork products, each with its own history, none given the chance to speak. Quantity, in this case, achieves what it often does, it erases identity. You do not taste meats; you taste "meat," singular and slightly confused. The hot giardiniera tastes like it was introduced to spice once, years ago, but was afraid to shake hands. It contributes crunch, perhaps, but no urgency, no sense that anything is at stake. The dijonnaise promises intrigue, instead delivers the quiet resignation of mayonnaise that knows its mayo. Yet there is a hero! The red wine vinaigrette. Sharp, acidic, alive. It cuts through the fog like a good editor. It reminds you that flavor requires contrast, and must risk being unpleasant to make anything else worth eating. There are glimpses of what the sandwich could have been: structured, intentional, even memorable. But the moment passes. The bread continues its neutrality. The meats close ranks. The condiments return to their indifference. This is not a bad sandwich. That would be easier to process. It is a sandwich that had every advantage... pedigree, ingredients, reputation... and chose instead just to be fine. read more

This place is a great spot to grab pizza in Chinatown! The decor of dodgers gear and atmosphere makes it very fun to eat at if you're a fan of baseball. I got the slices of good boy, mookie & mamba pepperoni. They were all excellent, the favorite being the good boy. The hot honey with burrata and pepperoni tasted really good and the crust was very good and soft, chewy and not too hard. The mookie was very clean and good for being a white pizza. Had to go up to counter to order and then luckily found a free table right after. I wanted pizza but I also need to be healthier so my friend and I ordered 3 different slices and the kale caesar. Surprisingly I liked the salad! I would get it again to add some balance to my meal. I think we ordered a slice of good boy, mamba pepperoni and upside down mamba. We stumbled upon La Sorted's Chinatown last year when they were having a soft opening and we were blown away!! Their upside down pizza is freaking fire, the sauce is where its at for all pizzas, crunchy crust and under carriage, their father-in-law sandwich is so good, it makes you want to eat the whole thing and their hot dog with Phillipes hot mustard is enough to put some fire in your heart. This weekend that we went the place was fully open and we decided to go with a slice each, and share a sandwich and all the food hit the spot. You order from the counter and find a seat where you can and wait for the deliciousness to come. They have a lot of Dodger memorabilia and the owner was back in the trenches putting it down with his team. Their bathroom is also very clean and parking is street parking. Given how popular this place is, I wanted to like it, but couldn't. We ordered two mamba and two cheese slices. The pizza is thin crust, and probably is the thinnest pizza I've seen. The crust was also very well baked making this have more of a cracker consistency than pizza, very rigid without the chewiness that you normally get from pizza dough. On the mamba slices, really all I tasted was low quality cheese and burnt spices. The cheese pizza was slightly better, but not by much. Overall, La Sorted was a miss for us. The pizza tasted more like a leftover pizza than something you would expect to be freshly served from a local pizza shop. We would not order from here again. read more

Looking for a great spot before, during, after every Dodgers Home & Away game? then you got to check out LaSorted's! Chicken wings, pizza, focaccia sandwiches, beer, wine, and a friendly staff makes this a perfect spot for everyone. Located on Broadway, in Chinatown near Dodgers Stadium, LaSorted's isn't just a "Dodgers Joint"! It's a family friendly (dogs too) kinda of place that everyone wished they had in their own neighborhood. Opened a few years ago by Tommy Brockert, an accomplished photographer and avid consumer of wings and pizza, LaSorted's has the feel of a Dodgers Hangout, mixed together with a little Rock-n-Roll nostalgia. Beside Tommy and his team, the real stars of LaSorted's is the food. Wings are outstanding and come in several flavors. We tried the Garlic Parm, Lemon Pepper (with clarified butter), and Buffalo Lemon Pepper wings and candidly, we couldn't ranked them as they were all very tasty. Good size wings that were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Although I wanted to try the mortadella with pistachio, burrata, pistachio cream on baked focaccia bread sandwich (next time), we elected to try their pizza. Unlike most joints, LaSorted's sells their pizza by the pie or slice, which made it convenient for us to try the pepperoni and Upside Down Mamba. Both slices were terrific, but the Mamba stole the show by its pure simplicity! The tomato sauce on this slice of pie is good enough to eat by itself in a bowl. Tommy sat next to us and shared a bit of his story and how his friends and relatives supported him on his inaugural journey to open LaSorted's. Believe me, it couldn't happen to a nicer individual! No photos for this review, we were too busy eating and having a great time. My boyfriend and I originally came to the area to check out General Lee's, but we wanted something quick that wasn't a full sit-down family-style meal--and I'm really glad we ended up here. First off, the space itself caught my attention right away. If you're a Dodgers fan, you'll appreciate all the memorabilia and bobbleheads throughout--it gives the place a lot of personality. The food absolutely delivered. We tried the Hot Boy Focaccia sandwich (I ate half there and saved the rest for the next day, and it somehow tasted just as fresh), along with the buffalo wings and blue cheese. Decided to have a late night dinner after a concert a few miles away. The restaurant is pretty easy to spot from the road. There's very limited street parking nearby but there is a paid parking lot right next to it. We paid $5 for the time we spent there. The restaurant has a great vibe. It's decorated with Dodgers memorabilia everywhere. When we were there they playing replays of the game. The service is great. We grabbed a seat at the bar area and our order was immediately taken. Our order was also out within 10 minutes of ordering. We ordered the fries, zuccs, and two slices each of the mamba, burrata, mamba pep, and upside down. Honestly, my favorite was the burrata. It was so good and the creaminess of the burrata complemented the crispness of the crust. The other slices were good, but the burrata was delicious and a stand out.
