Literally so good! We came here before a Dodger game and parked for $5 in the underground lot next door. It's a small place with both inside and outside seating but we were able to get a table right away. They direct you to pick your table and then order at the counter. It has a classic pizza shop vibe to it but food that's better than just the classics. The staff was quick to clear tables and the friendly vibe of the guy working at the register was giving neighborhood pizza joint. They sell pizza by the slice for $5 but we went with a full pie which comes with 8 slices and was enough to feed the 4 of us along with a 12 piece order of wings and an order of fried zucchini. I'm a big ranch on pizza kinda gal and the sides of ranch were not stingy at all. I ordered the calabrian ranch and it was spicy! Just how I like it. I dipped our sausage and pepperoni pizza in it and it was perfection. The crust was crispy and the cheese had the perfect melt. I didn't partake in the wings but our group was a huge fan of the garlic parm seasoning. I personally found the zuccs to be fantastic, especially when dipped in the side of classic ranch. My son has been talking about this place for years. I remember seeing them on TV after the Yankees World Series and all the people celebrating at La Sorted's. They ordered the LaSorted's Pilsner and I ordered the draft lager. I won. We ordered a couple of dogs and slices to share. Everthing was so good. First, we had two regular dogs and two dogs that were limited time. I think the limited dogs were for the Detroit Tigers but it could have been for St Louis Cards, that were in town. We grabbed three slices of pizza: the Good Boy and let me tell you, yes it is. The Upside Down is my son's favorite and it was pretty darn good too. But the Trifecta was my favorite. It was the last day they were making it but I hope that they make it again soon. The place is really cool. Bunch of Dodger fans but many people know each other and very friendly crowd. Loved it. Definitely one of the best pies in town. Inside has an old school, pizza parlor vibe. A few tables for seating, a couple TVs to watch a game, there's also a couple tables in front for outside seating. The pies are delicious! Love the sourdough thin crust. I've recently started becoming more and more of a pizza convert lol. Was never huge on american food since it's usually pretty heavy and greasy, but i've now learned the art of pizza, and La Sorted's does it right. We stopped by on a random Friday or Saturday evening after a night out and I was surprised to see it so poppin' at midnight . It felt like a cool and welcoming open concept bar that night with the loud music and dark moody lighting. Anyways, prices are phenomenal. $5-$7 large slices or you can get a whole pie box of 8 smaller slices for $20-$25. Mookie slice & good boy slice.. just do it. Wasn't sure what to expect going in but was actually surprised how good the food was. The Mortadella Focaccia sandwich was amazing. The bread was crisp but not oily, unlike other focaccia I've had. The mortadella and burrata were fresh and delicious, though I didn't particularly taste pistachio. Also got Burrata and Mookie slices, which were good, but the standout for me was the sandwich. I was stuffed after eating 8 tacos at Ave 26, but my friends saw this nearby on our way home and, being the pizza fanatic I am, I asked them to pull over. I've been to so many spots all over the country, including NYC, and this is truly better than a lot of your corner pizza shops you'd find around NYC. The quality of the dough was so good and had the right amount of yeastiness. I love the chew. If you like thin pizza, this is the place to be. I personally like Apollonia's a little more, like 0.5, but that's more preference towards the sauce and dough they have there. Here, there's no wait and the pizza is amazing. If I ranked it for my NYC folks, it's better than Di Fara and Rubirosa, and definitely Joe's (I despise this place). And for my Bay Area folks, this is way better than June's and Mama's Boy. I have been eyeing this place for over a year, so the family and I finally stopped by. Stree parking blows on weekends, especially if there is a home game... The place is tiny, with only a handful of tables. It felt like we were on a double date with the couple right next to us, lol. The walls are covered in memorabilia, cool images, bobbleheads, and all kinds of nostalgic baseball stuff. We ordered the fries, buffalo/ lemon pepper mix wings, and the Good Boy pizza. Why 5 stars? Because this stop was not in the plans, but it really worked out for us. --- --- --- I meticulously planned out my vacation, meal by meal, and activity by activity. My first stop was to grab lunch at Howlin' Rays. We found parking and walked up to it, only to find out that it was closed on Monday's. Apparently I wasn't so meticulous. Side note: I then later planned a visit a couple days later, which I also screwed up because I thought they were open later than 7pm. Apparently Howlin' Rays wasn't meant to be. But once I discovered it was closed on Monday, I had to quicky pivot to find an alternative. La Sorted was our winner, so we found more street parking, and headed in. It turns out, I'm really happy we ended up here. We were in town to go to a couple Dodgers games, and the whole place is completely themed around the Dodgers. The food was awesome, but we really enjoyed looking around at all of the Dodger photos from the last 60+ years. But back to the food. A really cool thing they do here is that when a visiting team is in town, they offer one special food item that's tied to that team. We were here as Cleveland fans, and they did this cool Polish dog because CLE has a huge Polish population. There was another Cleveland fan sitting at a table and he told us that we definitely needed to order it, and who are we to argue with such a thing? I really enjoyed the pizza (I tried the Burrata, Mookie and Good Boy slices), but that polish dog might have the best thing. The owners in here really great too, despite us clearly being the enemy. Cool Chinatown spot with a sports vibe and nice service! First time trying their pizza and it was great! The crust (tad thicker than NY style) was crispy, and had a really nice bite to it, though it may get dry and chewy if you don't eat it fast enough. I highly recommend their Good Boy slice that comes with their signature hot honey and all the toppings you need, as well as to try their Lemon Garlic Kale salad. I'd probably come back next time and try their sandwiches and stuff. The place gets crowded the later it gets, come early! read more

This past weekend, I grabbed my favorite dragonfruit drink in Chinatown and was in the mood for some pizza. If you can't tell from my recent reviews, I've been on a mission to find the best Margherita slice in town. I stumbled upon La Sorted a while ago during CicLAvia but never got around to trying it until this past Sunday. I ordered their honey glazed pepperoni slice, Parmesan fries, and a pint of beer, which came out to about $30 with tip. Unfortunately, the pizza was drenched in oil and way too crispy. I like my pizza to be soft and hot and cheesy, but this was overly cooked and difficult to eat with all the oil and pepperoni. The fries were also way too crispy and pretty bland. I actually saw someone else's fries and theirs looked much better, so I'm not sure what happened with mine. For almost $10, I expected more flavor than basic fries with a few toppings. Fries should not make a hard crunchy sound. I ended up leaving most of the fries and pizza behind. To make things worse, I had some pretty bad heartburn afterward and felt sick driving home. I'm guessing all that oil and overcooked food didn't agree with me. Maybe I'll give La Sorted another chance someday, but next time I'm definitely sending it back if my food comes out that well done. First visit: unfortunately a miss for me. read more

Loved it here! The vibes are great and they're playing the world cup on tv. The staff is super friendly and the best part the food is delicious. The meatball sandwich was great and the shoestring fries were cooked to perfection. My favorite pizza was the pepperoni with hot honey. Foul Ball!!! I messed up and wrote my previous La Sorted's review meant for Chinatown location on the Echo Park location.. Anyways, writing another review for La Sorted's based on the Foul Ball foccacia sando. I can't get enough of the foccacia bread at La Sorted's.. The foul ball is a meatball smashed into a patty, served on a garlic foccacia bread, topped with fresh mozza, parm, and a slight spicy tomato sauce. It's a toss up here when it comes to choosing what to eat. It was either the foul ball sando or lasagna pizza (special for February). Service here is really friendly and welcoming. Menu options has a spectrum from hot dogs, wings, salads and pizza. Try everything itleast once. Caesar kale salad is a go to item 10/10 Hot Buffalo wings pair with lemon pepper and shaken together 20/10 ( you have to ask for the combo when you order, it's not a menu item) Seating inside is limited but outside seating is available which is appreciated with our beautiful weather. This little pizza spot is a hidden gem in Chinatown. If you're looking for a solid slice, with great prices, this is definitely the place to go. We tried the Mamba, a classic cheese slice, and added hot honey for an extra dollar, which really amped it up, so good! My favorite, though, was the upside-down pizza--where the cheese goes on first and the sauce is layered on top, giving it a great texture. Whoever decided regular bread wasn't enough and said, "Nah, put that meatball parm on GARLIC FOCACCIA," deserves some kind of award. I knocked this review down because we were not informed of them being out of a crucial item prior to placing the order. My husband and I came here for the monthly special: a Philippe's collab for a dip style slice on focaccia with au jus and signature hot mustard. When it came out, they informed us they were out of au jus and clearly it didn't have a drizzle of mustard. I inquired so they brought a side. The lack of au jus would have made us order something else. Yes, it was flavorful, but it ate SO dry. The jus would have knocked it out of the park. It also seemed a bit on the cool side, so again, a hot au jus would have helped immensely. The other slices we had (Pepperoni and Good Boy) were solid with the good boy winning the round. This place has the vibe of an old school pizza parlor dripping with nostalgia and Dodger memorabilia. The slices here are thin crust, and there are some creative combinations. I'm a fan of the pizza here and a big fan of the space. The service style is more fast casual where I think you order at the counter and find a table. The space isn't huge, but it does feel cozy and it's not super tiny either. I've been to their other location, which I don't think even has any seating and it's only a window where you order pizza in Echo Park There are a few TVs in here so you could watch sports. I saw some of the football games while I was here. This is also really great place to watch baseball and especially Dodger games. Even though you're pretty much a short walking distance from the actual stadium. I was actually here twice recently. The first time I got a special slice or pie of the month - the sausage and peppers. I also came here during the weekend where they were doing a San Francisco versus Los Angeles weekend with special slices from Tony Gemignani of The Slice House and of course Tommy Brockert. The pies made were 'The High 5' and 'The Lasagna Pie', respectively, and proceeds from the slices that we went to the Dodger Foundation. I thought both slices were great, but I think I would have to give the edge to 'The Lasagna Pie' because I love lasagna and they nailed the flavors. 2.5 First time here with my adult Son who wanted to try this place out. Location: Chinatown=parking sucks. This place is a tiny spot with tiny crammed in tables, 6 tables at best. A small bar counter with maybe another 5 seats. The place was super busy, the line extends behind you if you're sitting at the counter top, in front and completely up against you if you're at a table. Call me spoiled but I like to eat without strangers hovering over me, elbowing me and standing 6 inches away from me waiting to order, totally uncomfortable and way too crammed. The food is ok. Tried a few things, nothing was out of this world, but it's pizza and sandwiches so... Now to ADA Compliance. My son is a disabled (since birth) person who uses forearm crutches to ambulate. He's been eating out his entire life and knows how to navigate the world. This place was definitely not ADA Compliant. He barely could safely get in and out without being knocked over by a patron. Whatever the capacity is, they're way over it! LA Fire would definitely shut it down as a safety hazard. Look we get it, the world is made for "able bodied" people, but cramming so many bodies in to make money without any regard for comfort, safety and once in a while those who operate life a little differently is also something to think about.
