the truck driver used my AAA information to stalk my daughter Last night my 19 year old daughter got out of her evening class at 8:30 and realized she had a dead battery. Her dad and I are 1300 miles away so we told her to use the AAA app to ask for a jump, and then to stay on the phone with us until she was back on the road. The tow truck driver showed up within 15 minutes. He addressed her as "Miss WaymoresBlues" because our AAA info is in my name. She never told him her first name. He charged the battery, she thanked him and she left. She didn't even sign any paperwork. It took less than 5 minutes. We heard the entire conversation. This morning, she woke up to a friend request on FB, a follow on IG and messages on both platforms. He said he liked her vibe and he was hoping they could meet up for coffee. A quick search of his FB profile told my daughter that this guy is in his mid-30's. My daughter is still technically a teenager and looks it. She ignored both messages and blocked him. I'm furious because the only information he has was mine. Which means he used info from a professional transaction to find me on social media, then used my social media to track down my daughter. To top it all off, she saw him in his tow truck in the same parking lot on her way to her afternoon class. She uses a different parking area on Wednesdays, but is certain she has never noticed a tow truck in that parking lot before. I reported him to AAA. I had my daughter contact campus security and ask for an escort to and from her classes for the next week. She's also going to be using her sister's car until she feels more comfortable. I'm furious. This man found my daughter in a vulnerable situation. Night time, alone and young in an empty parking lot. He's obviously older than her and there's no fucking way he doesn't know that. And now this morning, he just happens to be in the same parking lot on the same campus? I grew up in a conservative, rural area in the 80's and 90's, and women were conditioned to think this kind of bullshit was romantic. It's not. It's predatory at best. Great experience. This morning I attempted to go to the store, but to my surprise I had a flat tire. I am a member of a road side assistance group who contacted Sandoval towing. A very nice man by the name Sal showed up and saved the day. He was very polite and nice. He didn't even make me feel like an idiot when he noticed I put my jack on upside down.
