Middle of nowhere, very friendly. i got the new yorker. flavors gave subway vibes. more deli meat and less specialty meat. kinda small. pass.

Quick little sandwich shop with some of your energy drink needs. Perfect for that small lunch window if you work nearby. I got the Ruben sandwich. Personally, I really like sauerkraut so it'd didn't bother me how much was in there. Flip side, there wasn't a ton of pastrami which I get but also feel like there could have been more. This place also had some unique offerings on the chips rack, which I thought i got a picture of but my bad. Would recommend giving this place a try.

A hidden Gem Always spot on It goes 1. Chicken club on roll. Hits hard just a tad bit more chicken 2 . New Yorker on rye. 3. Italian chicken on roll Other than that lots of beverage options Just wish they had less expensive chip selection they would be better off Buying in bulk vs having a Fortune 500 service the chip counter Just my opinion Keeping in mind I buy for 17 hungry guys.

The Sandwich Stop is tucked out of the way in a business complex adjacent to the Amazon warehouse in Kearny Mesa. The Deli is super clean and the staff are super nice. I got a turkey sandwich on sourdough and Dad got his standard egg salad. I really liked my sandwich. The bread was lightly toasted which gave it a club sandwich vibe. Dad liked his egg salad, but wanted more egg salad on the sandwich. I was tempted by the daily special which was a pulled pork sandwich. Maybe next time!

Holy cow this was quite literally the best sandwich I've had in SD. There's a lot of parking and the staff are so friendly!

I have wanted to try their pizza and fried zucchini for ages now so today seemed to be the best day for us to visit. Friend is a huge fan of this place and offered to treat for a late lunch. Plenty of parking this Sunday afternoon. There were a few customers inside. There were several tvs playing sports so that was fun. You order at the counter, pay, and wait for them to call your name. I ordered the slice of Spartan Sausage Onion & Pepper Pizza for $5.50. It was a nice chunky size that reminded me of fresh baked focaccia bread. The red sauce was my absolute favorite part of this pizza - it tasted so fresh and bright. The fried zucchini had 8 large pieces. The presentation was EPIC! And came with two sides of ranch. I LOVED the zucchini!! It was perfectly battered, salted, and seasoned. An amazing deal for $14. I want to come back JUST for this and to order a full Detroit pizza to bring home for everyone to share. I tried a bite of the Coney dog and didn't love it. Tasted average and the hot dog was lukewarm. I am hoping to make a trip here this week to support them one last time.

It's inside an old Taco Bell that still has the old seating and everything. It was like going back in time to an old Taco Bell, but there were Detroit flags and posters all over and all the lights had covers over them to change the ambiance. They have a couple of arcade machines to play for free while you're waiting too. The pizzas are just ok because they are pre-cooked. They add toppings and sauces and reheat. This causes the meats to be dried out. They do have a lot of options and interesting pizza combos though. The majority of the pizzas are square Detroit-style, but they do have some round pizzas as well. They also offer craft beers and some different drink options you don't usually find at restaurants. Also, if you don't want to go in, they have a drive-thru. Overall, the pizza options are different and varied. The pizzas are just ok, not great but not bad. The ambiance is retro and interesting. The staff is welcoming.

There are Polaroids on the wall with pictures and a decal on the left wall. The service was absolutely amazing, the guy with the sleeve was super nice and didn't seem like he was just going through the same service lines. I don't eat beef, and I haven't eaten any pork but recently I've been trying some stuff with like pork flavoring, not anything that was a real meal but I asked him about the chicken sandwich and if there's pork in the butter- he said yes and then he actually let me try some which I thought was super cool. There's no tax on the food and it's all reasonably priced, the sandwich was 12$ and the bottled drinks were 3$ (cans are 2$). HE WAITED until all our food was ready to call it out so we could eat together The fries were great, salty in a way that I love, they are like McDonald's fries but make you feel better. The sandwich buns are smushed flat and then cooked so they're crisp, I absolutely love that The soy egg I had a bite of individually, it is very good and flavorful- it's cold so it's stored, the yolk is a perfect creamy texture WOW the sandwich was great, the bread crisp and the outside of the chicken is crispy which is great, but the inside is soft and easy to bite through- normally I don't like chicken sandwiches because the texture inside is weird or it's just way too much chicken or too hard to bite through- this is perfect- it pairs so well with the egg as well since the egg adds a creaminess I was already leaning towards giving this place 5 stars from the service itself, so I'm incredibly happy to be giving this a place 5 stars from the food as well. I would 100% come here again, I will say def get fries with the burger I don't eat a ton and it was like a good amount of food

Everything felt very transactional, no eye contact, no smile, no personality. And even the hand-written chalk menu basically tells you that they don't care about your preferences. The place is NOT clean, and possibly has not been cleaned in years. We sat at the counter where we could see them prepare food and I'm glad we saw what was happening; it was a bit of a stomach turning experience that made us uneasy thinking about eating the food. The woman who took our order also prepared our food, and everyone else's, that had ordered just before and after us, and she did NOT change her gloves even though she was multi-tasking with taking orders & prepping & cooking food. She touched so many things: her face, her hair, her apron, her pants, the screen on the register, all the food, & cooking utensils, and a dirty towel, all with the same gloves on . She wiped her gloves repeatedly on that dirty towel and then used it again and again to wipe off the food prep surfaces and the red trays used to serve food, which did NOT get washed in between uses, only wiped down. So many moments As I was watching this unfold, I looked up to see an A in the window and it made me wonder how they passed the inspection . This is a NEVER again for us.

The food never disappoints, the burrito tortillas have that crave able springiness and char - never dry, well seasoned all around and staff is all friendly and accommodating. My go to is a California burrito with half al pastor meat and half carne asada. Love their grande burrito as well if I want to split with someone or want some leftovers because it is 2-3 meals all by itself!!! This place is nothing fancy but when I need good food and don't want to cook it's fantastic. My only complaint is they close on the earlier side for a taco shop, 9pm on weekdays 5/6pm on weekends. Wish they were open for my later cravings.

Carne Asada burrito: under seasoned meat on the drier side, too much extra tortilla Fish taco: flavorless, cold tortilla -- boring Pollo asada taco salad: best thing we had, however, there was barely any lettuce and the "salad" itself was super tiny (NOT what they use to offer according to previous posts/pics), it was literally the size of a small child's cereal bowl -- iykyk. With all of the competition out there (even just Clairemont Mesa Blvd. alone) I am amazed that this place survives -- maybe we just got the wrong things, but any decent taco shop should have a decent carne asada burrito and this one just was not it.
