DO NOT COME HERE. I'm warning you. After I washed my hands SEVERAL TIMES the white crusty stuff still won't come off. I'm pregnant and the smell is down right horrible. She put my hand in a bowl of acetone and left it right there the entire time. Also, it was too overpriced. I'm from LA and people with low reviews are way better than this place. Disgusting. EDIT: went back in for them to clean it up and they all LAUGHED at me! Wow I will not be going back. THEY DO HALF A JOB.

They didn't take the yellow off & just painted over it & did such a horrible job I could've cried. I'm not the type to refuse to pay for a horrible service but wish I hadn't paid for this. On a brighter note, Luxury Spa in Salinas does 100% better job! That's where I'm headed to fix this mess.

When I moved to Soledad a couple months ago I was worried about finding somebody to do my nails. I found Sandy and I'm so impressed. My nails are exactly like I want them.

Horrible experience not what I asked for, nails are completely different shapes, not great consumer service the color is very streaky.

lady who did toes did very well, very expensive i paid $80 for basic french tip pedicure. sandy did my nails terribly and in a rush with uneven lines and shaping. once i got to my car the hand nails started peeling, will not be coming back, unhappy with results read more

RATS!!! Friendly, sure. However, it is disgusting. I saw 3 rats running around this place is infested. I was nearly down when I saw then, and I mentioned it to the lady she didn't seem to care and still asked for a tip. I am a super patient person and this place seriously took the win for being rude and unprofessional 100%!! Long story short. Lady who did my pedi kept making rude comments loudly about my nails and foot. When choosing nail color the lady didn't want to put the polish I chose. She rolled her eyes when I insisted on the color. Third, they rushed my mothers pedi which was suppose to be a nice birthday treat for her and started working on her mani cure so aggressively that I thought they were hurting her from just watching the carelessly job. I wanted to get my acrylic nails removed. They said it was $12. The lady was dying her own hair and told me to wait. I waited for like 10 minutes. She came with dye in her hair. So unprofessional. Got a cuticle clipper which didn't look sanitized...and started cutting my nails. Then she got a box of fake nails and used it to pull my acrylics off. Then she just use a filer machine. She cut some nails but not all. So they were all uneven... Kinda ghetto ... read more

I trusted this place until I let a man did my nails. He wasn't rude or anything but he shouldn't be doing nails. I'm sorry but he's just not good, he did a horrible job on my nails and even though he tried to fix them he left them worse. Won't be returning here again! I am so disappointed by this place. Please don't waste your money! Be patience and try to find a good place where you don't have to be afraid of what you will end up getting. Zero Stars---- I just threw away $40 Dollars read more

I have been going to Sand's Hair and Nails for approximately 10 years. They are so nice to me and all the customers in there when I am there every two weeks. They always offer something to drink, always happy to see their customers and appreciative. I just can't believe some of the reviews I saw, doesn't sound like where I go. Horrible is an understatement! The half as* the pedicure skipping steps waist too much time trying to offer you candy and water or gum yet not focussed on what they are doing. Went to get a pedicure and walked out with pain in my toe, the next day I could berly walk on it. Iv never had ingrown toenails and now I have a swollen toe. I went back and Sandy try saying her boyfriend didn't cut wrong that I had ingrown toenails but that was incorrect iv never had them. Never ever going back ! read more

Came in for a relaxing mani and pedi instead got a rushed one. They seemed super rush and there was no people so I don't see why they were rushed. Also the lady pulled some skin from my toe and didn't even say sorry maybe she was too busy talking on the phone. Also those drying machines were burning my feet I thought I was going to get a burn. I will not be returning because of this experience and also the prices are high for the work they do and for the little effort they put into their work. read more

Not a bad experience. A longer massage would have been nice. Being sent home with semi wet nails isn't ideal but not bad they warned me they were not all the way dry. But over all not bad. Friendly enough, clean, nice dog cruising around. Would be nice if the chairs massaged. They had a wide variety of polish. Tried to talk me into gel but I knew what I wanted and they didn't push too hard. Possible there was some crap talking or joking at my expense but do I really give a fuck? No. Not like I understood them anyway. I'd go back. They got me in quick and finished fast. read more

Try them for a second time after the last bad experience bad manicures and pedicure it's not worth it. I'll have to drive to salinas when I want them done correctly and don't go when there busy. They will rush you out the door with a bad job done. Bad customer service!!!! read more

This place is a JOKE! I went in there to get a gel fill and I was treated like crap! First the lady did the completely wrong polish, after telling her that wasn't what I wanted she rolled her eyes and fixed it. Once it was fixed the lady next to her(who was doing someone's nails) said loud enough for me to hear "wow she's finally happy. Yay". I could definitely tell she was being insulting. So afterwards my friend had left with my purse and I had to call her to bring it back so I could pay for my set and every single employee stared me down, rolled their eyes AND LAUGHED AT ME! The second I handed the man my card to pay, he was nice and offered me candy. But only THEN did I get even the SLIGHTEST bit of good customer service. The entire time I was getting my fill, I had flies literally SWARMING in my face, the stench of B.O and a rude employee talking shit about when she's not even half a foot away from me? I'm absolutely pissed. read more

I love going to Sandy's! I have had great customer service, hair cuts and pedicures. The prices are reasonable and the people are friendly. I was surprised to read the bad reviews. I feel fortunate to live close to a wonderful place to get these things done. The whole shopping area there is great. Needs a donut shop though read more

If i could rate this place a 0 i would. They are not polite to their customers, nor welcoming. When i went into the place there was a lady cutting their dogs hair and soon after a client came to get his hair cut she used the same scissors. The old lady who did my gel manicure didn't even bother to cut my nails and only filed/painted them and charged me 28$ and still asked for a tip. Worst place ever! I recommend pro darling nails, they give the best service to their clients! read more

This is by far the most horrible nail salon I have ever gone to. I went in for a gel manicure and the manicurist clipped the side of my real nails. Within one week four of my real nails cracked and another broke. It compromised the strength of my nails. I get gel manicures to add to the strength of my nails, so my trip to the salon was counterproductive. I have tried going to Darling Pro Nails and she used some powder to repair the cracks. Disclaimer: it takes a truly bad/good experience to take place in order for me to leave a review for an establishment. I went in for a waxing, no appointment. I was taken right in. I came here last month and the female I had last time was great (pricing was more expensive than my regular spot in Salinas $25- not including tip). This time was completely the opposite. I told her what I wanted and she would touch my face- "here? Here? Oh whole face!" Ummmm noooooo, I did not tell you or point at my whole face. This went on for a min. And that should have been my cue to exit stage left. Also, she kept slapping/tapping my face hard like I was a steak being seasoned prior to cooking. She began and within a couple minutes she yelled "Don't mother be!! I'm so sorry!" Literally I was just laying there with my eyes closed. She had dropped about 1-2. Tablespoons of wax on my silk work blouse (which was costly). I told her the cost of the shirt and she tried to get it out with oil. She also still tried to charge me $10 (oh, it's okay my friend, I will only charge you $10.00 for you.) I looked her square in the face and told her that if she thought she would still be charging me after this she was crazy. She grabbed the mirror from my hands and said it's ok just go. (Manager apparently doesn't work on Wednesday's- FYI) It was the worst experience- and she should be fired. I would actually like to see her license and report her to the Board. (That's how bad it was) As for my shirt, I walked next door to the laundromat (whom has always been amazing) and she will try to fix it. Don't go to this establishment! It really isn't worth it. Stop calling your clients "my friend". I am not your friend, I am a paying customer and should treated with that respect. read more

It started to bleed and he didn't even apologize, he didn't even acknowledge what he did. That's not all.. he used the same brush that he used on my toes to clean the drain read more

False advertising!!!! They have a menu you can choose from either 30/40$.. The 40$ one is a deluxe one where you get all the goods. I've been here before with my mother in law and they have done it just like shown on the menu they give you for 40$. Today I'm assuming since it wasn't a good day for them "as both the older ladies looked tired and worn out they decided not to do the hot towel treatment, no lotion, and NO MASSAGE. This place is bs and very inconsistent. When I asked why I didn't get what I paid for they said because its extra and would be $60 for towel treatment, lotion, and massage? Fucking scammmmmmers! This place is bullshit! read more

Not only is she talented, she works wonders and more! It can get a little pricy, but her work is so worth it. I've had my hair color corrected, ombréd, balayaged, toned, and trimmed; she's my go-to girl! I even got my brother hooked on her skills! Unfortunately he left Stay Faded. Now, the other day I walked in hoping someone could help out on short notice. There I found the owner of the establishment sitting at the front on his phone. He told me it was appointment only and would not take me in. Fair enough that it's appointment only, but considering that he wasn't busy, he could have helped me out. Update: Thank you Carlos for reaching out. While I understand that you schedule on the hour, you are entitled to breaks and you want to provide an exceptional experience to your clients, I must point out the flaw in your response. According to Yelp, you open at 10:00 a.m. -- I walked in at approximately 10:15 a.m. So either you finished your first appointment in less than 15 minutes or your 10am didn't show (assuming you had an appointment at that hour). But, then again, you are the co-owner. You can make up your own schedule and take your 15 minute break upon starting a shift if you like. I thank you again for reaching out and inviting me to return. But, I have already found a new barber elsewhere that despite being closed when I arrived, immediately returned and reopened his shop when I called. Why did he do that? To build clientele and establish himself. I definitely will be scheduling appointments with him in the future. Carlos, I wish you the best in your business endeavors. Take care.
