Case in point: I took a knee-length, unlined, belted women's coat there to have a simple stain removed. I took the coat only two days after it was stained and stated plainly (to one of the owners) that the stains were the only reason the coat needed cleaning. I pointed out the stains, and confirmed both the source (greasy water) and the fabric (silk). When I returned to pick up the garment, I immediately saw through the plastic that the stains remained. The employee said, "Hmm, oh, there's a note." The note said that they needed my permission to treat the garment further, due to its stains. Why, I asked, weren't the stains tagged with tape and my permission asked for when I dropped off the garment? If not that, the most logical option, why did no one call me before or during the initial processing? Shrugs. Frustrated, I signed my permission and left. By the time I was half a block away, I thought, hell no, this is stupid and called. I said the fabric was already noticeably dulled from the initial processing (it was originally iridescent) and I was coming back to pick it up. When I got there, I asked for the garment and said I would not pay the $18 since the specific service I had requested had not been provided. The employee called the owner. The owner said I had to pay, that they had processed the garment. With an "F" and "U" I said, "keep it" and left. That's it. We've had other similar experiences with them over the years but this time we are done: We're never going back. I looked for a full service laundromat near my house and found Coin Less Laundry. The attendant was very nice and even found a coupon I could use as a new customer for $10 off. The whole handoff was very smooth. I am not sure if it was expensive because I didn't really do any price shopping but for several queen quilts, mattress liners, sheets and some towels it was about $80 (minus the $10 off coupon) -- but well worth it to me! The one thing the attendant didn't tell me was that I needed to bring the receipt back the next day when I picked up the items. When I came back the next day a different attendant was working and asked me for my receipt and then was a little annoyed I didn't have it. I guess it would be weird to have someone else pick up my laundry but why would anyone do that? I had also brought in a couple more quilts when I was picking up my order and she was also annoyed I didn't have my own bag. Overall I was very pleased with the washing and folding so that is why I gave 4 stars but the grumpy attendant should be a little nicer.

We had specifically requested that our clothes be hung, but everything was returned in bags instead. After seeing that many of the clothes were stained, it made more sense why they may have chosen to bag everything. When we reached out to the owner about the issue, the response was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of taking accountability or trying to resolve the problem, the owner blamed us and claimed that the clothes were already in that condition when we sent them in. Mistakes can happen, but poor customer service and refusal to take responsibility make the situation much worse. Based on our repeated issues and the way this was handled, we will not be using this business again. Three bags of clothes were stained by them!!
