I'm on the fence as to what I think right now. The pros: They are fast, courteous, and don't lose your stuff. The cons: They are expensive, there is no transparency with pricing (maybe there would be if I asked), and they have been sloppy lately. I've had to bring back my items the last 2 times...nobody has time for that. I expect more for the price they charge. Here is a breakdown of what I've been charged. $17.61 - black pants - when I took them out of the plastic, they were filthy. Dust and white substance on the bottom hems. I brought back and they recleaned them. $32.23 - belted denim dress - lapel wasn't pressed properly and I had to repress it prior to wearing. $13.20 - silk short sleeve blouse - cowl neck was pressed folded in the front - 2 vertical lines that looked odd. I brought back to have them redo. They fixed it while I waited and commented that they considered charging me $2, but kindly didn't. Their pricing is confusing and there are no prices listed anywhere that I can find. This is the location on Northsight near Best Buy. Two cotton men's shirts for laundering. One $5.95, Costco brand noted on the slip, the second, $6.95, Dillard's brand noted on the slip. I asked why and the fellow couldn't tell me. Fabric? he said. Nope, both 100% cotton. No extra buttons or snaps. Unacceptable. Are they all DSA and angry at a Dillard's shirt? Two weeks ago, $20 to clean an unlined cotton jacket. They buttoned the front incorrectly and pressed the lapels that way. When I went back to have it made right, no one even said "sorry". I will take my business elsewhere after many years. No more. They are too expensive and careless. read more

I had a very disappointing experience here. My clothing was pinned for alterations and a ticket was written before any pricing was discussed, and the total came to $355. When I expressed surprise and decided not to proceed with all items--but was still willing to have some altered--the seamstress scolded me for wasting her time and refused to do any of the work. Horrible! Prestige Scottsdale is GONE! They have been bought by another company and no longer do cleaning on site. I've been taking my sheets here for years, knowing that those are sent out. Recently a set of sheets came back with a huge rip down the middle of the fitted sheet. They were made in Italy and came from Restoration Hardware - sets only. I took in the printout from the web site - $1,200. Prestige was supposed to review and let us know how they wanted to handle the matter. It's been months and no response. Disheartened that after 10 years of service we had to leave this business. Over the last 3 months they have torn 3 shirts of ours. Never had this problem until recently. Basically 3 new shirts frayed and torn at that armpit. They returned all 3 shirts to us clean and pressed as if nothing was wrong with them. They blamed the fabric and the use of deodorant - funny thing is I have not changed my deodorant brand and I have laundered many shirts of the same material with them over the years. Granted, things can sometimes happen and we were willing to forgive, however, their lack of courtesy to let us know that something was wrong with the clothing was extremely disappointing. read more

I can only speak for their wash & fold service as I was planning to try other services but the response to my complaint to the owner was disappointing so I won't be back. We tried wash & fold twice (in hopes of using the service 2 times a month). The first time it was okay. It definitely did not look professional, but it saved me some time so I tried it one more time. This time it was $100 worth of laundry. It was terrible. Everything was balled up and something bled on a pair of pajamas. I had to either refold or rewash all of the items (because some were so wrinkled they couldn't be saved). I let the owner know. He offered a $20 credit towards "next time". (The cost of my pajamas that were ruined). This was not an acceptable response for the situation. $100 down the drain. I do not recommend any service if this is the best the owner can do to resolve a problem caused at his establishment. read more

I brought a pair and of shorts in to be hemmed because I wanted a shorter length. It cost me $39!!! Are you kidding me?? The sewing wasn't even straight either to add insult to injury. Do not go here. Also, my wife had an alteration done here and when she asked the price, they said they didn't know, so she asked to be contacted prior to the work being done and that didn't happen. The Prestige employees and wedding dress specialist saved my dress (and what felt like my entire wedding) in the nick of time. When I went to pick it up, I was beyond surprised to find that they didn't even charge me for their services. They took something that (dramatically) felt like the end of the world and turned it into a very touching moment. I don't know if they even know how much that meant in the midst of all the stress. It was truly my dream dress and when the time came to preserve it, I wanted it to be preserved in a way that would still allow me to look at it every now and then. Enter Prestige. They were amazing. Not only did they preserve my dress to perfection, but they did it in a box that I can open up easily and gaze through a clear plastic window at my perfectly placed dress! They did the preserving efficently and when I picked it up, the box was wrapped in plastic to keep it nice. Since it's 106 out, I also appreciated the fact that I could pick it up through their drive through window and I was greeted by two very friendly staffers! Being new to Scottsdale, I needed to find a local dry cleaner for my suits and dress shirts. After doing some research, Prestige Cleaners had a proportionally higher amount of good reviews over the past 2 years compared to other dry cleaners near me so I decided to give them a try. I dropped off a number of dress shirts for cleaning (a mixture of existing and new shirts) which they said would be ready the following afternoon (was unable to confirm if they were able to complete my order by the pickup time since I was unable to make it until the following day). The Sahuaro location is a drive up only which is nice and the staff was very nice and helpful. When picking up my order, they placed them on the hanger in the back seat for me and processed my payment quickly. Inspected my shirts, I found that they were all cleaned very well, starched to my liking and there were no obvious signs of damage to any of them. Compared to other dry cleaners I have used, the cost was slightly more at nearly $3.00 per shirt but being new to the area I am not sure if this price is competitive or not. I will continue to use Prestige Cleaners for the time being and as long as the quality of work remains the same as this experience they will continue to earn my business. read more

I brought my wedding dress and veil to this location for cleaning and preservation. I dropped it off at the end of March and was told it would be done by April 6th. I went in on April 16th to pick it up and was told it wasn't done. The two ladies who were there had no explanation for why my order was not done yet, they were not apologetic at all, they simply said to call on Monday to talk to the wedding dress specialist. So, I called a few days later and the wedding dress specialist was not there at the time and the person I spoke to on the phone did not know why my order was still not done yet. A few more days later, I called again and finally I was told that they were waiting for the preservation boxes to arrive and they were 3 weeks behind schedule. I was not given an estimate of when my order would be ready. At this point, it had been 19 days past when it was supposed to be complete. Eventually my dress and veil were ready to be picked up. I would have been fine with waiting but the lack of care and communication I stood was disappointing. Very poor customer service. read more

I took a jacket that I thought was ruined and couldn't be cleaned to see what they could do. Usually go to a different prestige cleaners but decided to try this location because it is closer. They said they had the notes from the other location in the system and knew what to do but I still told them exactly what I needed and had good faith when I left. When I went to pick up my clothes I didn't have time to check them to make sure they were right, just checked them at home and my clothes are the exact opposite of what I said I needed and they took out the hard creases in the sleeves after I told them I need those. Absolute worst cleaners I have ever been to. I brought quite a few items of clothing to be cleaned and stopped here for convenience. Upon dropping everything off, the front was rude, but I had to get back to work so left my things with them regardless. When I picked my clothes up, one $200 jumper was missing, my expensive cashmere and silk dress had a brown stain on it, and a silk shirt was missing a button. I lost about $900 coming here and the cleaner denies having seen the jumper. Beware and take your clothes ANYWHERE else. read more

She was very kind and fixed my pants on the spot. I was in and out in under five minutes. Quality rapidly deteriorating. I've had my shirts dry cleaned here for a while. Over the past 3 months or so their quality has steadily gotten worse. Ask them for no starch and you're guaranteed shirts stiff as a board. The ironing looks like a two your old is operating the press. 9-10-09 According to Denise (Corporate Manager) at Prestige Cleaners, their company has elected to conduct business without insurance for damage or loss to customer goods. Thus, consumers are not protected in the event of property damage or loss for services rendered at Prestige Cleaners. I recently ecountered a difficult and unacceptable consumer experience with Prestige Cleaners due to damage sustained on a garment during the dry cleaning process. Both the "corporate manager" and owner (Don) refused to compensate me for the incurred damage. Rather, they insisted on repairing the damaged item and fabricating another adornment to replace the missing garment accessory. Although the garment could not be restored to its original condition, both the owner and "corporate manager" continued to refuse to take ownership (monetarily) for the damage and loss. It was only after obtaining legal assistance that Prestige Cleaners agreed to recompense me for the incurred damages. Consumer beware! Due to their lack of insurance and unwillingness to compensate customers for damage and / or loss, you will likely need legal assistance to resolve issues with Prestige Cleaners! read more

They are careless, customer service is lacking, and it has become a very risky place to bring expensive items of clothing. The last two times I've brought one of my suits to them it has been returned wrinkled and with permanent creases in the wrong areas of the pants and coat. We just moved and got a coupon for Prestige Cleaners as part of a welcome kit from the post office. We decided to give them a try. When I showed the coupon to the person on duty, she told me they would honor it. When I went to pick up my dry cleaning the next day, the same person told me that according to her manager, the coupon was a scam and I had to pay full price. This business uses deceptive advertising practices, so beware of any bait and switch on any coupons or discounts they may offer.
