My husband and I dined here with another couple on a Saturday night. The restaurant has limited parking, but we parked close by on the adjacent street. Ambience is nice: it's tastefully decorated, not over the top. We had made a reservation and were promptly seated. It was moderately busy, but not packed. Service and food were both excellent. Our server was accurate and attentive. My husband and I started with the Steamed Dumplings, which were tasty. We enjoyed our main dishes -- Drunken Noodle (with beef) for him and Spicy House Noodles (with shrimp) for me. He said it's in his "top 2" best drunken noodles he's had. Everything was hot and perfectly seasoned; good portions. My friend had ordered a "sizzling" dish that did not come out sizzling, but he enjoyed it nonetheless; he and his wife had no other complaints. We all got dessert. I ordered the Mango & Sticky Rice, which was amazing -- definitely in my "top 2"! Restrooms were clean and functional. We all agreed we would dine here again. Decent Thai food in Kennett Square. It's a well decorated restaurant that makes it feel more upscale. Service was nice and the food came out quick. For appetizers, we got the egg roll and chive pancakes. I would say to skip the egg roll. In my opinion, the wrapper was way too thick and hard rather than thin and crispy. The filling tasted just ok. Instead, I would get just the chive pancake. It's fragrant, herbaceous, light, and pleasantly chewy and bouncy. For my pad Thai entree with tofu, it was decent. The portion size is a little smaller than what I am typically used to from other Thai restaurants but I was still full. I got a 3/5 and it wasn't spicy to be. It was savory, had a strong fish sauce base, and good! I would get this if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Went in for breakfast this morning with my family and was very disappointed by the food. Ordered basic scrambled eggs with cheese and hash browns. The food was lukewarm at best, potatoes were overcooked and the coffee was weak ( also not hot ). My kids got bacon which was also overcooked. Prices were also high with lots of add ons like $2 extra for cheese ( why ? ). People were nice but the food was not! read more

Updated Review (4 stars) I'm removing a star because they now charge a 3% credit card fee. I get that times are tough, but there has to be a better way. The food is still excellent, but the portions have gotten much smaller. At least haven't changed but we used to take so much home and now we take nothing home. Service is still great, and I love that there's no corkage fee, but adding a credit card surcharge on top of tipping is really a gross practice.. The money has to come from somewhere, so tips are going to be affected. That's a whole other rant. Customers are already stretching their budgets. We really love this place, which makes it even more disappointing to see this change. I usually give restaurants who charge a credit card fee three or less stars but I'm in a good mood today. read more

Highly recommend this place!! There was a miscommunication on the phone so when I went to pick up my food I was given the wrong order. The manager came and fixed the problem instantly. Authentic, delicious, Thai cuisine right in the heart of kennet square. The food is some of the best Thai I've had ever. Expertly balanced and seasoned, and packing a punch (if you want a punch, that is, I got a 4/5 spice level and it was perfection in a bite). The spicy House noodles are something I'm going to be dreaming about until I come back. I trust any dish that's a house dish in a place like this. The staff are a lovely Thai couple that are attentive and friendly, nothing like being cheered on for your spice level! They keep the restaurant clean, bright, airy. I ordered it to be a level 4 to be my level of "really spicy" and it was DIVINE. We started with a fried tofu appetizer. It was perfectly fried, crispy exterior not soggy AT ALL. Delightful sauce, and definitely enough pieces to share. My GF and I also split a Thai tea-- perfect as always. I've never had a bad one tbh! The main of spicy house noodles again was SO GOOD. Deep flavor profile--spicy, savory, and with the coconut milk, a dash of sweet. For dessert, we had mango sticky rice. IMPECCABLE rice, and the mango was incredibly fresh. Sang Tong is a truly authentic Thai restaurant slightly west of the center of Kennett Square. The owners found some incredibly fresh mushrooms to use in their Thom Kha soup. The spicing was excellent and was not dumbed down for American tastes. I also enjoyed the Pad Thai and an eggplant dish. The papaya salad was an ideal blend of fruits, vegetables, and spices. We came here after Easter mass. They have a beautiful patio with nice big red umbrellas to shield you from the sun. The owner came out and greeted us, so friendly and warm. We ordered the Pad See Ew and Masaman Curry chicken, both were so delicious. The food was delicious. Our server was quick and very friendly! We got the thai sampler to start, which was a fantastic value. The sauces were all homemade, the curry sauce for the satay and the homemade sweet chili were standouts. The curry was very flavorful and went amazingly with the seasoned satay, and the sweet chili was fruity and complimented everything on the platter so well. For entrees we got the Volcano chicken and the Tom Kha. I am not a fan of mushrooms but thankfully it was thrown in right before being served and my partner liked them a lot! The soup had a fantastic mouth feel, it was like no other soup I've ever had. The small bowl was loaded with chicken and veggies. The Volcano chicken was very crispy and the veggies/ sauce it came with made for a very good plate. The Exotic Bomba was refreshing and the textures were very very good, the chocolate shell and the smooth sorbet had a party in my mouth. The fried ice cream was yummy as well. I'm a food delivery driver who stopped in to pickup an order on Saturday June, 7th.While I was waiting for my pickup order I noticed the waitress was wearing black pants with ALOT OF animal hair on it, we are talking a lot of hair and I'm surprised that nobody noticed so she could remove from her pants. She is a hard worker delivering food to the customers, the food looked really good but the hair was a real turn off, I just hope none of the customers saw the animal hair on her pants. The food here is 3.5 stars. Two spring rolls were offer free or charge. These were good, crunchy and flavorful . Pineapple fried rice was ok but lacked any sort of spiciness or seasoning. Chicken with eggplant was a bit spicier but tasty and I would order this again. The Tom yum soup was a highlight of this meal as was the iced coffe with had a nice charcoal roast taste. Parking is challenging and if you have anyone with mobility issues, it will be difficult to navigate entering the restaurant itself. read more

Sang Tong Thai has quickly become one of our go-to takeout spots (though they offer full seating as well). The owner is so kind, and remembers their customers. They make it with just the right amount of spice. They also have a good lunch special. This restaurant was formerly Cafe de Thai, but we think the food is better than Cafe de Thai, and the takeout is much quicker--from Sang Tong, it takes about 10-15 minutes for our order to be ready.
