Sangria was good. Setting was good. 2 stars for this joke of a hummus plate. Scammed.

We stopped in here because we were looking for a place to grab a drink with a little something to hold us over until our dinner reservation. It wasn't busy when we went in so the service was quick and our server was very nice. The food and wine were very good. The only thing I have to complain about is paying $100 for 2 glasses of wine and 2 appetizers. As good as it was and as great as an atmosphere it was it's not somewhere I'd go again over the many other places in this area. I would suggest trying it once but not a repeat for me. I do appreciate the quick service and great vibe

The patio so very narrow so opted to sit inside. I had the sangri-la and husband the cinco Fritos. I know some reviews said they couldn't taste the alcohol but we could. The sangrila was delicious. Light and sweet with coconut and pineapple. The cinco Fritos had a dry finish but still very good. Husband had the crab cakes, perfect portion for a tapa and delicious. I had the citrus shrimp and perfect portion. The flavoring on the shrimp was delicious and almost licked the plate. Service was very good as well. Would definitely come back.

I'll start by saying our waitress was very nice, and the sangria was genuinely good. However, the food was awful. We got the ceviche and it looked like old, nasty soup. Not to mention it was literally 4 small shrimp and half a scallop for $18-22. Crazy, and gross. Also, the bruschetta was literally old crackers with massive chunks of garlic and old tomatoes. Sangria and service good, food terrible. Please don't eat here.

Without a doubt one of the best garden fresh chips & salsa I've had. Sangria selection is good. Beautiful over the street seating (2 tops only) and nice lounge in the front. Great chill spot.

We loved this place... quaint little wine bar in downtown area. Kinda quite inside why he as nice. Great indoor area and nice outdoor seating too. Bar area also great . They have food too but we just had some Bubbles and beer. The servers were from England which is where I'm from . So it was just nice to chat with them and listen to why they ended up in St. Augustine. They were really friendly and charming ! The bubbles was fabulous and the beer . After we chatted at the bar we grabbed a seat out in the covered patio which had tables and couches. Really nice area and enjoyed our beverages out there. The staff checked on us regularly and made us feel at home. Check out sangrias if your looking for a nice quite place . And good looking staff!!!

Would have rated 0 stars but that's not possible. I have tried to go to this bar for 3 years in a row when I come down to FL to visit family and every year they turn us away for some not logical reason. They began by saying there was no room and that "the tables open were reserved and they reserved 3 weeks in advanced". So, that following year I called to make a reservation 3 weeks in advance before my trip, the call was never answered. I called 3 times a day for 3 days in a row, the call was never answered and never went to voicemail. The next trip we decided to go in as a walk in and ask if we could have a table and now there's not allowed 4 people at a table on the balcony. Here are some screenshots of people of tables of 4 I've seen online on that balcony. Today, we tried again for the last time to get a table and asked to split our 4 person group to 2 separate tables and still got turned away.

The fries and appetizers were also solid, and portions were generous enough to leave satisfied. The drink menu is extensive too, with a strong cocktail selection that fits the whole Prohibition theme. Service was friendly and generally on point, even though it was busy. We started with the bread service, had an espresso martini each which was very smooth and really hit the spot! We then ordered some caviar, one more cocktail, & beignets with prosciutto. I meant to order the delicious ube dessert along with their sorbet featured but we ran out of room. We thought we might come back later to enjoy but we didn't make it back in. In my experience, the places with the best staff will serve you as attentively as if you were paying the check for a large party. From the wonderful Cuban bread, to the fantastic dishes (Try the pompano!) to the must-try Bread Pudding, the food is outstanding! If a restaurant makes it in St. Augustine for years, it's going to be a good place. There's too much competition for mediocre to survive here. The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. It was a pretty cold and uncomfortable welcome. That said, the restaurant is absolutely charming. I really loved the interior ambiance--it's cozy, well-decorated, and has a very pleasant vibe. The food was extremely delicious. We ordered the Half Pound Ice Plant Burger and it was juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. You could taste the quality in every single bite--the meat was perfect, the ingredients fresh, and everything very well balanced. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had recently. Despite the initial host experience, I would return without hesitation for the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommended, but they could improve the initial greeting.

Unfortunately the weather decided otherwise. The weather was terrible and the rooftop closed. We opted to continue with our evening as one of our friends lives in Vilano. I had visited the original restaurant many moons ago but was looking forward to the new location despite it being in a hotel. I am a vegetarian and the options for those are very limited. And I get it. It's a steakhouse. My friends all love steaks. Between the four in our party we had the bread which was out of this world and we ended up ordering a second order, the goat cheese terrine which was tasty, chopped Salad minus the bacon was delicious,Caesar salad for one lady, the mashed potatoes and they were not great, the seasonal vegetables and those were awesome, the Brussel sprouts which were very good but a skimpy portion, a filet steak review was it was ok, steak mofongo and review was ok, and lastly the vegetable pasta and again review was ok. I personally just had the sides as I hate onion and I could not get a vegetarian pasta without onion. The pros are everyone on the staff was wonderful! Bartenders, our server Jonny, hostess, valet guys, etc. The cons are the chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, the space is dressed up a bit for a hotel but still a hotel restaurant, some of the patrons had on shorts and ball caps.
