Chicken teriyaki and CA roll combo
    Margot C.

I ordered dinner from here the other night when I was craving something on the healthier side. Delivery was quick and the food was still hot when I got it. I got the chicken teriyaki and CA roll combo. It came with my choice of two sides (two types of salad, rice, or miso soup). It also came with rice. I opted for both salads as my sides. It came with a decent sized portion of chicken, 6 pieces of CA roll, the salads, and a Chinese takeout box full of rice. I wish they had included some extra teriyaki sauce because the chicken was a bit dry. The oriental salad was very tasty with a light vinaigrette and some mandarin oranges. The sumi salad had way too much dressing was soggy by the time I got it. For the amount of food, the prices are pretty reasonable. You're not going to get anything amazing here but if you're looking for some decent teriyaki that doesn't leave you feeling unhealthy and gross, then it's worth coming here.

Steak with California roll plate - steak was disgusting, no flavor and hard. Pass!

I don't live in the area but wanted some "Japanese" sushi food. They are re-paving the parking lot so parking is chaotic and limited. If you even decide to come, which I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, park on the street. The restaurant is clean and the menu looks great. So many different options from salads, appetizers, soups, sushi rolls and combo plates. We ordered the gyoza, spring rolls, two sushi rolls and two combo steak & California roll plates. Everything was ready at once and we picked up the trays at the counter. The gyoza and steamed rice were the only decent items. The sushi rolls tasted old, the sushi rice was sticky and dense and the steak looked like leather. It was the worst $70 meal we ever had. We gave the leftovers to the homeless man sitting outside vs throwing it away or taking it home. Go elsewhere. The food here isn't good. The prices are great but the food is not good.

I was surprised at how yummy this place was ! I'm always craving some teriyaki and having to find parking for the colony for the blazed and glazed is quite annoying ! Full parking lot, easy access, and really friendly staff ! Portions were insane and quite delicious . Can't wait to try other dishes . Salads were fantastic all this for 13 dollars ! I think I found one of my spots !

Lots of plaza free parking available. Great fast food to satisfy cravings. Rainbow roll is pretty ok and other cooked good options are good too, such as teriyaki chicken. Not there best quality but does the job.

One of my routine spots during my workweek. Great price and quality food. Love the staff here. They treat me nice and give really good service. The place is clean and quiet especially for dinner. My go to meal is the steak and chicken plate. Great place to grab food and highly recommend.

We stopped here with a friend after a long hike and it was definitely worth the try. We ordered the chicken-chrimp combo plate and it was soo delicious. You can also pick 2 types of salad for it, but I just went for a double portion of the mixed greens-clementine-pecan salad, which was delicious. The only thing is the salads are pre-mixed and since it's a mixed green one, it was kind of soggy, because of the dressing they put on. Also came with some white rice and some grilled vegetables on a stick and everything was soo delicious. And th price was reasonable too. Definitely coming back.

I love getting the "THE NOZAWA TRUST ME" and treat myself when visiting LA ($48 for dinner and fullest of the pre made omakase menus | $40 at lunch). If there is a fish you don't love, you can ask to substitute. But I highly recommend you try them all. The fish is so fresh, I love eating there the most because the fish is super cold, and the rolls are crispy hot on the outside and cold inside. BUT, their to-go and delivered options are just as nice and very well presented (see my pics). It's a must when visiting LA!!

Nozawa's mission for the last 40 years has always been to bring traditional Japanese sushi to America. Sushi nowadays is more common but Sugarfish is still around and has expanded greatly. There is a free parking garage about 2 blocks away and we came on a Tuesday where it was still pretty busy for lunch. The sushi could have been better, while the fish and rice were good the amount of salt and wasabi was wildly different, sometimes having too much or too little. The rice was also inconsistent, some of it falling apart on the plate and not properly pressed together. 2 of our group had the tasting menu and it took a very, very long time for them to get their orders. A la carte was way faster and I was about halfway done with our food before they started getting their food.

She has outlived her youngest sister who was at Manzanar. She raised three daughters, cared for three grandchildren, and delights in seeing her four great-grandchildren grow up. So when it's her birthday, we try to come together and celebrate with her. Today, nine of us gathered over good food and great company. But it was NOT at Noma Sushi. We assumed that Noma would accommodate our family as they did last year when we celebrated her 101st birthday at their old location and had a great experience. That was not the case. We were told that we had to pay $200 if we wanted to sit together and have lunch there today. Without exception, that was the policy. If we were one less, there would have been no problem sitting us together without the exorbitant fee. Now, if we were a huge party asking for a private room, I would understand this extra cost. If they had a long waiting list of patrons, I would be much more understanding of the fee. But with one extra person in our family, willing to sit in other areas of the restaurant as long as we could be somewhat close to each other in a nearly empty restaurant, were we being unreasonable? Apparently, yes, we were being unreasonable because no, that would not be possible. I suppose that restaurants have the right to refuse service to people, which they did, and I am absolutely flabbergasted. The servers were rigid in their policy. The sushi chefs were staring without much regard to any of us. And no one at the restaurant seemed to have an ounce of empathy for my poor 102-year-old grandmother. With a walker and at her age, she needed to sit down. No one acknowledged her or offered her a seat. That lack of sensitivity was salt in the wound. We were given menus and seats only when one of my family members offered to sit elsewhere, as in going to a different restaurant. Why? Because now we were a party of eight. No, thank you. How can we sit and enjoy what should have been a joyous occasion when now our family is upset, frustrated, and divided? When asked to speak with a manager or the owner, we were told we could not do so. That they were not available until the dinner service. To me, it sounded like a lot of excuses and a lack of customer service training. When my aunt was finally given a phone number and name to follow up with, it was to the restaurant's main number. Perhaps the servers really didn't know how to reach the manager or owner, which seems strange and highly unlikely. And perhaps the servers were new and inexperienced, which seems much more likely, but unequivocally inexcusable. While my aunt was finally able to reach a manager to share our disappointing experience, no amount of apologizing or trying to placate us with offers to come dine with them can change what happened. A birthday celebration comes once a year, and we'll be lucky if my grandmother continues to be healthy to ring in 103. Food is meant to bring people together, and dining out is a privilege. But the entire experience at Noma was just awful, and we took our business elsewhere. If I could give zero stars here, I would.
