Tuna Avocado Roll (8pcs) Salmon Avocado Roll (8pcs)

I was craving Sushi and wanted to try a new spot, so I placed an order with O Sushi. I ordered 3 rolls for myself and it was plenty of food. I ordered the Tuna Avocado rolls and a Salmon Avocado roll. Both rolls were really good and fresh. Also the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely order from O Sushi again.

Terrible experience order taking and order pickup with Turuu. He has a bad attitude, he is careless and misses items from our orders then blames us! If he is still there next time, we won't order from OSushi anymore and you shouldn't either. Our hard earned money must be respected!

Small place only 6 tables and bar seating. The staff was so attentive and friendly. Brought my son in (10 yrs) and they were so sweet and attentive. Food was great! Tasted great! The staff made our day !

The food is always amazing. The waitress is always really nice and the price is incredible. I'm afraid to review this place because I'm worried when the word gets out it'll be too packed for me to eat here.

Cool little spot, had easy listening music which was nice and at 12pm on a Saturday I was here pretty much by myself which was awesome. My roll was so good, I ordered another. Great little place, highly recommend.

Decent sushi but not the best service. LA introduced sushi to America in the early 1950s so there are a ton of really great options all over town. This spot is more of an option if you're close by or don't have time for one of the well-known locations. It's located in a strip mall two blocks east of the 405 and Sawtelle. They have a lot of parking available in the parking lot attached to the mall. It's fairly small on the inside, there are about eight tables, so it would not be a good place for a large group. As mentioned the service could be better. I came in for lunch, and when I entered, I was not greeted by anyone. Then the waitress came over, took the order, with zero smile or conversation, and then forgot one of the 3 items that I ordered. They have a fairly large menu, and I would say that the pricing is fair. I chose a selection for my first visit. I ordered the Spider Roll, Miso Soup, the Salmon and Avocado Roll, and some Albacore Nigiri. All were pretty good, a solid 4/5. Everything did come out pretty quickly, even though they forgot one of my items. This location felt more like a takeout or work lunch option kind of place so I don't anticipate it being very busy during dinner time. I work close by so I plan to try again in the near future.

What can I say, I'm a sucked for hole in the wall places. I've been coming here for a few years on and off when Im in the area. I live too far, if I was close I would be here every other day though. It's a nice very cozy clean quiet atmosphere and the sushi chefs are right in front of you making your orders. Everything is always fresh so be patient when your order is being prepared very delicate and delicious.

This is a great place for chicken ramen and bowls! I been a little snobby with ramen since Japan…read moreruined me but I highly recommend this place! It's on Sawtelle where there's a large concentration of Japanese restaurants and shops. Parking can be atrocious... and apparently there's been a meter maid ticketing everyone on streets that require a permit so make sure you read the signs (esp all the way to the bottom)! We came here around 8:30pm and were seated right away. They reserve tables for parties of 3 or more so we were seated at the table (we didn't mind seeing the kitchen work super efficiently). The menu is quite simple with 4 different types of ramen, including a vegan option. I shared the BBQ chicken ramen and Rich Spicy Chicken Ramen along w a mini bowl. The chicken is grilled w charcoal so you really get the smokiness from it. I liked it better on rice w a sauce, especially w the green onions. We were both impressed w the spicy ramen. The broth was excellent and though there was a kick it was still manageable and thus enjoyable.

I usually get the rich chicken ramen (no onions) since I wasn't sure if the bbq chicken would taste too charred as it's charcoal-grilled, but after trying a small bbq chicken bowl, the chicken was actually v yummy w no strong charred taste! I've been here multiple times bc it is j tooo good and the service is always great w everyone being v kind and attentive I always try to go early to beat the dinner rush!

The Chinchikruin chain offers Okonomiyaki or more commonly known to non-native Japanese folks as…read moreJapanese pizza. And I am fan. So when the Sawtelle Chinchikurin offered another Japanese bite by bite experience, I was like sign me up, I want to try their Hamburg Hangar Steak Omurice. And thus this review will specifically focus on my experience with the Omurice adventure, sponsored by the flavors and techniques of the land of the rising sun. So this Chin (what I will call this place so I do not have to check my spelling on the regular) is in a popular shopping plaza, so parking was limited. I found a single parking spot and entering it required skill and inch-by-inch patience and I went on a weekday. So I can only imagine that the situation on a weekend is so congested that even writing about it makes me shiver with stress. I can also imagine that these parking problems were non-existing during the Covid Era but, as we all know, these were replaced by far more serious one. Moving on from this odd aside, the point I wanted to make is that parking is not an easy feat when one visits this Chin. I entered alone and found an immediate sit in the counter where I could watch the cooks prepare the Omurice. I sat and prepared for the live culinary show. But before I explain the dance of knives and flips, I want to discuss the brief menu. As shown in the pictures, the Omurice experience came in four different options. Even though the four options seemed similar they were strikingly different simply because of their different sauce bases. For instance, the Mentaiko Omurice came with a cod roe sauce (the Mentaiko) but this seem to foreign for the day. So I chose the "most popular option" the one with the Demi-Glace Sauce. And, as my pictures show, I finished the entire plate. It was easy to like. It was easy to eat. It was also a hand-ons expeirence. I was able to use my spoon and fill it with the demi-glaze sauce then bathe the top of the omelette with it. Yes, I know that some people can say that I played with my food, but I would rather say that I engaged with my meal. I can easily understand why it is a celebrated comfort food, because like a comfortable movie that one re-watches, it is easy to understand, easy to get through, and makes one feel good after. There was nothing to deconstruct or heavily analyze. It was just a simple voyage into the familiar. Plus, the bear paw on top of the omelette was a subtle reminder that this dish was a work of art. On on a last note on sauces, one of the four options was also ketchup base. This option might be for kids or for those who do not venture much from what they know to be good when they were a kid. But of course, ketchup is a universal topping, so I may just thinking to hard on this Omurice, in fact, I probably am. But Miranda does it with clothes, Monk does it with germs, and Ramsey and I do it with rice and scrambled eggs. So... sue me? In terms of the show, I wanted more. I know that this place is not a teppenyaki spot, but I still wanted some dramatic flips, or gorgeous movement as an egg broken. I did take some videos so perhaps other viewers can find the pageantry in the movements. I did catch a staff member clean the stove top with a rag. I wanted it to be a wax on wax off moment but the swirls were not hypnotic enough. I then focused on the sizzling meat, getting ready for its moment in the plate, but it did not crackle with the noise of an erupting volcano, nor it spew steam like a crazy locomotive. It was just sizzling meat, which in its own way has beauty in sound. I captured the almost ready plate be sauced and the worker did swirl as they added the last drippings of the sauce and that was a moment where i caught a satisfying flare. I wanted more, I wanted less, minimalism in silent movements, but in the end the show was good but maybe just for the moment. I would go here again, especially when the Torrance location gets its turn at Omurice plate, because like I said, it was a comforting dish that was easy to enjoy!

Tastes better with the sauce since i found the meat patty dry by itself. The egg was not runny when I cut it, but more on fluffy side. It was pretty good something new i've not tried. Plate was made to order and hot from the grill. You can watch them make it since it was semi open kitchen. I gotta come back to try the other items in the menu. Service: friendly staff although the wait was long to be seated and food to arrive. Expect to wait about an hour to be seated and get food and don't be surprised if u devour the food in minutes because it's good and u are starving from waiting lol. They were super busy during lunch since they open for lunch starting at 11:30 am. There is only 1 person delivering food to the tables, taking orders and hosting. The other 3 or 4 employees making food on open grill. Parking: in the plaza, but fills up quickly. Some street parking.

The food was great! The karaage was delicious, had a crispy exterior and a juicy and warm interior. The curry was flavorful and the spicy fried garlic they have on the table gives a great boost of flavor and good spicy kick, too. The service was good - our server checked up on us fairly frequently and did a great job at being courteous and also accurate with our orders. Ambiance is as good as Sawtelle gets - busy street with heavy foot traffic. Not extremely noisy even with the amount of people and cars passing by, but it's definitely an active area. Overall, would come back here if I'm in the area. The food and service are worth it.
