There's beautiful paintings, drawings, graphics, sculptures, pottery, photography, jewelry and more. Our favorite was YIN PING ZHENG, he specializes in traditional Chinese brush painting & calligraphy. His paintings were AMAZING! They were very affordable, all originals, even the small ones. They're made with watercolors on rice paper. He demonstrated an art piece for us, he had so much control, he made it look so easy. We ended buying 2 vertical paintings of plum blossoms which included frames. He was so humble, nice & friendly, he even offered for us to sit & he let a lady sit & wait for her daughter to pick her up. Make sure you drop by to say hi & check out his art pieces!!

The show starts just after the boardwalk and lines the Cabrillo Blvd. I learned that this show is every Sunday from 10:00am-6:00pm. The show features arts and crafts including paintings, sculptures, jewelry, pottery and more. It was a delight to talk to the artist about their work in a very causal setting. Truly some unique pieces of art can be found at this show. Definitely worth a stroll if you are in town and heading to the beach. Parking can be found on Cabrillo Blvd or in the public parking areas. Note summertime can be very busy and tough for parking.

So we went back to our original window-installer, Quality Windows & Doors of Oxnard at its original store. They came back a few times to re-caulk the rims of leaked windows. But the windows failed to retain its waterproofing again & again. So, we figured to give QW&D one more chance to fix it by getting new "nail-in" windows. The estimator, Larry, was a very knowledgeable window-installer/estimator; he answered all of our questions & concerns, & he gave us a very thorough estimate including measurements, sketches & pictures. And we talked to John at the new Ventura's office. He was also very cognizant on the products. He gave us reassurance and we signed the order contract in mid July. There was a few confusion in the original estimate received via enclosure in the email in which it was stated that a 50% deposit was required although talking to the office on the phone assured us that the deposit was only 25% of the overall installation cost. John finally explained that the 50% deposit was for the QW&D to pay for the manufacturer to order the windows. So, we ordered the windows. Now we are awaiting for QW&D to let us know when they will deliver the windows and then finally install them. Until then, I'll keep you updated the progress.

Then when the new windows came in, he came by with assistants Adam and Carlos, and put them in! They worked efficiently and did such a good job, I was really impressed. I needed to buy interior hollow core wood doors, which Agoura S&D was able to provide. The rep,…read moreMike, provided inaccurate information about the doors saying that the intended trim would be fine and that the hollow would not be exposed (this supposedly after he checked with the manufacturer). The manufacturer bored the doors measuring from the top only. When trimmed as indicated they would be, the hollow was exposed at the bottom. The rep refused to replace the doors. To salvage the doors, extra installation charges were incurred to fill the hollow. Again, the rep and his supervisors / owners refused to cover the extra charge, even though it was clearly documented in emails that the rep had provided inaccurate information. Moral of the story: don't believe what the rep says and do all the boring and cuts on site. Or, find a different distributor.
