When I got my food I had a hair on my chicken fry.I had them remake it and of course it took some time so by the time it came out the rest of my family was done eating so end up taking with me. We have frequented this location several times over the years. It has recently gone down hill in the quality of food. We ordered the ribeye cooked medium and the steak was burnt on the outside and underdone in the middle. The cut of steak was very thick. The kitchen had the fire up too high because it resulted in an inedible outside steak. We were not the only table unhappy with their food. The table next to us also complained about an underdone sirloin. The manager came out and brought the steak back to them after re-placing it on the grill and the customers were still unhappy with the steak. We informed our waiter of the unacceptable steak and he said he could offer a discount. We agreed and then received the check. The discount was around $2. To purchase a $20 steak and then only receive a $2 discount when half of the steak was inedible is insulting. The waiter never offered to remake the steak. We asked for the manager. The manager apologized but ALSO never asked to remake the steak. He gave us a free lunch coupon. The manager also stated the steak looked medium to him (see attached picture). Regardless ... it was a little too rare for our liking, but there was no way of fixing that steak because the char on the outside. The manager was given the opportunity to fix the situation at the time of the meal and failed to do so. We still paid $18 for a steak that left us disappointed. Sure we got a meal coupon for NEXT time but after this kind of service I'm not sure we will be back. I would have rather the kitchen re-make the steak correctly than be brushed off by the manager. Right outside of base and amazing. The prices are great and food always tastes fresh. My family and I have been here three times now and always have great service, great foot and just a great experience. I've had the catfish bites, mozzarella cheese bars and the ribs which all are great. The ribs fall off the bone and the sauce is great. My wife like the chicken wings. They are huge and the sauce is hot but not overly spicy. It has a lot of flavor. I highly recommend going here if you have a big family like myself. We have 5 kids and we can all eat under a hundred bucks which is always great. read more

This was my first and probably the last. I know a few people that enjoys Santa Fe. Today I decided to see why after many many years of declining the offers. The food was pretty delicious but on the other hand, service was a pretty sad. Ordered the popular queso which was pretty good. Chips seems to be stale but it could be due to the dye on them. I ordered the Southwest Grilled Tilapia. After placing the order it took about 30 minutes before receiving it. Our waiter realized it was taking so long and brought this funky looking salad that I'm so thankful i didn't choose as a side. In the meantime of waiting for food she cane by the table one time and that was to bring the salads. My cup was empty, there was dirty plates, empty basket from the rolls and still decided not to take them until the food arrived. And yes i has to ask for more water. After shortly receiving the entrees, its code to check and see how your customer is doing and see if they need anything and that didn't not happen. After getting her attention I asked for Tabasco sauce and extra iron utensils. Moments later she brings me Cholula Hot Sauce. If you use any type of hot sauce you know not any sauce can go on anything, and that was one of these cases. A few minutes later a gentleman was walking by and I politely asked if they carried Tabasco, he brought a full bottle in 10 seconds. Our waitress was just not attentive at all. There where things I had to ask for that i shouldn't have to ask for. If I'm coming close to finishing my meal, offer a dessert and bring my check. I had to ask for my check, ask for Tupperware, and it was things that was very noticeably frustrating. I used yelp and steered clear of the steaks. Picked a cowboy which came with ribs chicken and sausage. All cooked perfectly with great flavor. Got a side sslad that turned into a delicious Cobb salad. Ordered the baked potsti. Saw how full a loaded potsto was and had a tender perfectly cooked spud with sour cream and butter Our waiterwas excelkent. He was busy when we arruved so another waitress took our drink order aling with a huge order of tasty fried pickles Complementary buns were fresh and warm. Couldn't believe how many mistakes were made in one visit. Tea was old and gross, salads were made wrong. Had incorrect dressing already put on them and then brought the wrong dressing again. Meals were left to sit for quite awhile before being brought to the table, which made the gravy very thick with a layer of film on top. Meals were rather cold and not warm at all. Manager came buy, seemed rather upset and forced an apology. Ended up not finishing my meal because it was messed up so much and did not enjoy the visit. We stopped in for a late dinner. It's usually too loud for us in here but there were only a few tables of people so it wasn't that bad. The lights that hang over the table are blinding and annoying. I would love it if restaurants would all use the light bulbs with silver on the bottom to not blind the diners. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita but she said the machine was broken and she'd make it on the rocks. That was fine. I noticed on our receipt that it cost an extra dollar for strawberry flavoring which I thought was kind of flakey. The queso and guacamole tasted good. The chips had red dye on them and we're greasy and chewy. My hubby ordered the steak fajitas. They were okay. We didn't touch the bucket of peanuts left on the table because most we're empty shells and it looked like they'd been wet before. Really gross to think of all the hands and mouths that have eaten and licked on those peanuts. The highlight of this place is the rolls and cinnamon butter. read more

I only went here for the first time because of a work function gathering, and wow! This place was so empty on a Tues night, it was odd and sad.. This place is like a broke down version of the other popular steakhouses, like Longhorns, Texas Road House etc.. I got the chicken strips, fries, and mixed vegetables.. The vegetables were surprisingly good, tasted like it had melted butter and salt in it.. The fries were meh, but most of them were soggy, and didn't have that "crisp" bite to it.. The Chicken tenders weren't that good either, they were kind of hard.. It pretty much tasted like the chicken strips at the gas station.. On a brighter note, our waiter was good.. Staff does not hear. My burger is wrong and everyone is about done with their food but our waitress is no where in sight. Rolls are good and wings are cold. Peanuts are free and plentiful. Along the way...the chili is spicier then I like. Others may like it. The tilapia is liked. The seasoning on the t-bone is a bit much but acceptable. I normally don't go here because I haven't had any luck with it in the past but I thought I would give it a try. I have good news and bad news. First the good news.... the waiter Juan was excellent. He was quick to greet and take our order. So if you go there ask for him. Now the bad news. The food was I remembered it. The steak and baked potato were barely warm. The salad and the rolls were were really good. So overall I give them a "C-". Juan saves them a lower grade. So if you want a mediocre steak dinner this is your place. If not go somewhere else. After reading all of the awful reviews I was expecting the worst, but it was not bad! The atmosphere reminded me of a Chevy's mixed with Texas Roadhouse. The complimentary rolls and butter are really good, the queso, egg rolls, and mozzarella sticks were excellent and oh my goodness the margaritas are delish! My sirloin was great, cooked just how I asked. My only complaint is my loaded mashed potatoes looked nothing like the picture and I'm fairly certain it was boxed potatoes. We ordered nachos and were told they were going to take a while because they had to melt the cheese. Can't make that up. I asked for no pico and of course it came with it. Nachos didn't arrive with sour cream or jalapeños like the menu calls for but didn't want to order another because it literally took 20 minutes to get the app. We watched her the entire time laugh it up with staff while we were waiting to ask for an eta on the nachos then to later waited to order but we decided to just leave hungry. After complaining about the pico she made excuses and left us a free appetizer coupon. Needless to say we left that coupon behind. This was just down the street from the hotel I was staying in, and I was too exhausted to drive to Cattlemen's. Strip steak was cooked to my liking (medium), but was average at best. The baked potato was smallish, but they did rub it in salt like I do at home. The best thing about the meal was the steamed vegetables. Just got home from eating there with our daughter, and we all agreed the meal and experience there was exceptional. Our server was bright, friendly and attentive (but not intrusive). Every part of our meal was great. Salad was crisp and fresh, with just the right amount of dressing. Steaks were cooked exactly as we ordered them and were juicy and flavorful. Went for a work function today for lunch at noon. I'm starting to think that's only why people come here. There were about 18 of us, I believe. Our drinks and orders were taken within 5 minutes, however, it took 50 minutes for them to get our food out to us. This was no fault to our waiter, he did pretty good and I don't believe any orders were messed up. I ordered the lunch catfish with a side of sauteed mushrooms and a house salad. The house salad was pretty standard, iceberg lettuce and they "drenched" it with honey mustard. Next time ( if there is a next time) I'll order it on the side. The lunch catfish stripes were pretty small, there were 5 pieces and the breaded wasnt very good. Pretty soft, no crispiness. The sauteed mushrooms weren't very sauteed either. Had good flavor, but we're soaking in juices like they were sitting in a pot of hot water. I think their only saving grace is the cinnamon butter and rolls they put on the table prior to the meal. read more

We eat at Santa Fe often and always enjoy with the exception of last evening! For some reason it took approximately 45 minutes to get our meal, a couple of burgers, which were good as always! Our waitress was very nice and apologized for the delay (we inquired several times) and she suspected since I ordered my burger "well done" that that was the reason for the very long wait! My biggest issue was half way through our sandwiches we heard this ridiculously loud sneeze coming from the kitchen area, not just one sneeze, numerous accompanied by very loud cheering to "do it again and get it all out!" Obviously this was an uncovered open mouth sneeze as one could hear it throughout the entire area! When asked, the waitress said it was from one of the "carry out" employees! Having been in the wholesale food service business all my life I knew this was a most inappropriate food safety issue and should have been addressed by the manager! Lord only knows how much food in the area was covered by the sneezing airborne pathogens! The waitress at first seemed to think the action of the sneezer was cute until I said it was a food safety issue and we would not be back and the manager should address the issue! It was quite a contrast seeing some of the staff in covid masks and some not and then have some employee spreading who knows what all over the area! Another area of concern that was equally as unnerving was the constant slamming of the door as food was carried out to the curbside patrons! we were seated just a couple of yards from this door! One would think consideration would be paid to customers so they could enjoy their meal in some semblance of peace and quiet! Obviously some training/retraining will need to be addressed! read more

We still go here, but we don't purchase any mixed drinks anymore. I do like the food, but refuse to pay top $$ for lousy mixed drinks. So anyway, the reason for this update is regarding their billing practice. I don't know if Santa Fe thinks people are stupid and can't do simple math in calculating a tip, or if they're trying to remind people to tip. Either way, every time I get their bill and it has the "suggested tip" printed at the bottom, it repulses me. I'm not a HUGE tipper, but I generally tip in excess of 15% everywhere I go EXCEPT at places like Santa Fe who want to tell me how much to tip. So instead, I tip less than 10%. Maybe that's wrong, but a tip is not an entitlement, and you shouldn't be telling me how much to tip. A tip is a gratuity, NOT something customers owe you. So take the "Suggested Tip" off of the bill; it is insulting! read more

Still my usual place for Friday lunch. It was a little rough on service for a while since they have a new lunchtime bartender. I always sit at the bar for lunch, because it's faster service. Now, the current bartender knows me and has my drink ready for me. As long as I work on this side of town I'll keep coming. I definitely recommend it for lunch over Logans steakhouse. read more

Santa Fe CC has become the place I hit on the last day of work when in town on business. Big, frosty brews and decent food are exactly what I need before hitting the town for the big send-off meal. Medium size bar, peanuts, big menu, and great service. I would recommend for lunch or happy hour. SFCC is smack dab in the middle of an up and coming shopping area of MWC where more and more restaurants are popping up. Something tells me that if this wasn't a chain of OKC that it probably wouldn't last more then 5 years but lets hope that is not the case, especially with the expansion of Tinker AFB. read more

Great meal. The Cowboy Combo was awesome. Rib meat was falling off the bone, Jalapeño Sausage was spicy and very tasty,and Chicken breast was perfectly grilled. I loved the Chipotle sauce.
