ABSOLUTELY LOVE this campground. Our student goes to UF and this is so convenient to campus and we do t have to pay the outrageous hotel fees. This campground is meticulously maintained and the staff are SO sweet. The pool area is nice, the huge tvs are a bonus, and the facilities are gorgeous. Wi-Fi strength has a good with extenders on a lot of the light poles. I also feel safe because they have cameras EVERYWHERE! Spaces are a tad close but I also prefer more outdoorsy campgrounds. I love the benches and how they convert but sadly the last 2 times we stayed my neighbor took mine. No big deal tho, just rude neighbors. Don't feel they you can bring your own fire pit! My gator wanted to do some last minute shopping on our checkout day and they were kind enough to give us a 2pm departure. I have my 2 favorite spots and can't wait to get back there again soon!!

We had a nice stay at Santa Fe Palms resort for our annual fall meetup group with Central FL Grand Design Owners. We didn't have any issues with our campsite or neighbors. Majority of the people left Sunday and we stayed until Monday for a total of 3 nights. We already booked our April site and November site for next year. Until next time.

Paved, level pads for RV and patio furniture.

Very pleasant and well kept park with easy access to shopping, the university, and UF medical facilities. The staff is friendly and responsive.

From the street, Camellia Rose appears to be a well maintained historic looking building. It's a pretty decent size with a nice yard and water fountain out front as well as nice parking. When we arrived, Mrs Pat met us at the door and welcomed us in. She showed us around and scheduled a time for breakfast. She told us to call if we needed anything and was very sweet. We went to a ballgame and had dinner and then went to Rockeys in town before heading back. When we got back we immediately got in the big jacuzzi tub. (We stayed in anticipation). There's bathing salt provided which made it even better. The temperature and water pressure was great, everything was very clean and taken care of. There were a lot of little details that made the room even better. The bed was comfy- my honey didn't want to get up the next morning due to how soft the bed was. I ended up getting him up and we went and got coffee and sat out front for a few minutes before breakfast. Once it was served, we had fresh sweet fruit, some kind of egg dish that was my absolute favorite (the boyfriend stated I needed to "up my breakfast game" the next time I cooked haha), sausage, and a really good pumpkin bread that I could barely eat because I was so full. We refilled our coffee and sat on the upper balcony for the rest of our stay which was relaxing. It was a little chilly but there was a small blanket in our room I could cover up in as I sipped my coffee. All in all a very great place to stay and we look forward to returning! PROS: - very quiet and relaxing; not like a hotel room where people are yelling in the halls randomly - Excellent breakfast that will have you extra full and ready for the day - I recommend definitely getting a room with the big tub. I would stay in it all day with a book if I could - clean and well maintained - quick uber/drive away from everything - great patio to relax in the mornings or nights

The hotel staff were very kind, giving us a higher room floor for a better view and letting us freeze ice packs (since we have medicines that need to be kept cool) in their staff fridge. The valet even offered us nice cold water bottles on our way out. The hotel was very clean and modern. We had to look up a video to figure out how to work the fancy fridge in our room. Which had plenty of space and did not automatically charge you for opening the door, which I appreciate! The hotel also had a nice gym on the top floor and a rooftop pool that was small but looked perfect for cooling off in the heat. There were also great views of campus from the roof. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had lots of options to choose from (baked goods, cereals, hot food, fresh fruit). There was also a fancy espresso machine but no instructions on how to use it, which would have been helpful. They also had coffee and water stations in the lobby for anytime use. Our only other comment is that it would be nice to have a self park option, so that we did not have to rely on the valet. We would definitely stay here again.

On morning two of my stay I woke up to the sound of running water in my room. When I got out of bed to investigate I found water flowing from the lights, vents, and ceiling in the bathroom. I called the front desk and they said there was no engineer in and they would find out what to do. When they called back ten minutes later they said that it happens sometimes and should resolve itself. What?!?! At this point the amount of water is increasing and all of my things are wet. They didn't even offer me a new room until I insisted that I needed to be moved to a dry room! Unbelievable. Instead of sleeping, I spent the rest of my morning going down to get a new key, drying and packing my things, and making multiple trips to move my things to a new room on a new floor. Very disappointing stay.

We chose this hotel due to price reviews and looked nice in pics. It also had a 1 bedroom suite that had a pull out sofa in living room so didn't need to get to rooms since our son is an adult and didn't want out to all cram into one room with two beds. The lobby looked nice and made our way to room. Dropped off luggage and went to eat. Upon our return we noticed there were only three pillows in the room and they were on the smaller side. I went down to ask for more pillows and was told they didn't have any since they were all locked up in housekeeping and they left at 5. It was 530. She the proceeded to tell me she could give me a blanket to use????? I told her there were 3 adults and only 3 pillows and she to recent neck and shoulder surgery I needed to prop myself up so asked her if she could ask manager to open housekeeping. She informed me they were also gone. I then asked if she could get some from a vacant room and she said she would ask manager. She went into the back and a couple minutes later came out with two more pillows and said this was all they could do. Wait so you did have some??? You lied??? How many more were back there??? I went back to room very irritated and was informed there was no sheets or blankets for the pull out. Mind you none in room. Went back down and got those. Thinking this place had worse service than the motel 6 I stayed in 20 years ago I then discovered there was a smell of sewage coming from toilet. Due to what time it was and how tired we were from traveling we just put seat down and shut the doors. Stay away from this place. Pay more it's worth it trust me. In all honesty I would take a 6 over this place.

The hotel was renovated recently. You would've thought they would've put in double glazed windows, and noise muffling Blinds. They did not. I was not able to enjoy the breakfast buffet due to Surgery the next day. But my husband said it was good. Seeing that sleep is crucial before a stressful day. This brought my rating down four stars.

A manager, Ari, was delightful, giving us a summary of what we are offered as guests of the hotel. Our room was #366, which we would soon discover was a handicap-accessible room. This was not a problem for us, but since my wife has a 25+ year history as a case manager for people with physical and mental challenges, she assessed the room and took joy in pointing out its deficiencies for the "definitely abled" population. The major one was how furniture placement creates challenges for a person who uses a wheelchair or motorized chair to access the bed. No way to climb, slide, or be lifted into the bed, certainly not around the sharp-cornered desk. Now, as for the bed itself. The mattress has seen its best days around 20 years ago. Springs can be felt easily, and if one shifts, the whole bed moves. And movement will be accompanied by sound effects, for a loose piece of metal flashing flaps noticeably underneath the bed, especially if one seeks to practice the finer arts of marital massage. But, hey, sound effects are freebies, right? Finally, the basic, handwritten "Do Not Touch" sign on the a/c unit, which blows loudly, even loudly enough to compete with Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2 on sound setting 25, is an interesting touch. The hotel needs a general update. As I said earlier, this is our second stay, and by comparison, it is about 2-3 stars lower than our last, back when we stayed here to celebrate my cousin Beau's wedding. But that is not Ari's fault; she is a delight.

We have stayed at another hotel in the past but it is not part of the Hilton brand. Both times we stayed here, the weather was colder. The first time, we used the fire pit outside and the fireplace in the lobby was on but not the recent visit. I was looking forward to that. We had a digital key and I arrived prior to hubs, with no issues. The room was clean but there were no regular coffee kcups- just tea and decaf. I unfortunately did not notice that until the morning but was smart enough to bring my own. I used the shower first, which the cold water was almost non existent. If I turned the dial maybe to the 11 o'clock dial, it was not scolding my skin. The water also felt very slimy, which I believe means the water was soft. We had credits to use so after I picked up hubs, we went to the bar in the lobby for a couple of drinks. There was only one employee working and he was super busy. There were a lot of patrons there so we ordered drinks from him in between him taking care of others. We were enjoying ourselves lounging in the lobby and were able to order a second round. Their lobby is very nice and cozy. We requested a late checkout when we were done and told 1pm. Hubs paid in advance for the breakfast so we headed there around 10am. When we checked at the front desk, one of the breakfast staff informed us they did not have much food left. I thought that was messed up because breakfast is not included so there should be plenty of stock. The kitchen dude cooked us up some eggs and bacon, which I think was the last of what they had. We also checked with the desk to assure we had the late checkout, to which the employee gave us an earlier time. We then reiterated what was given to us the previous night and he put it in the computer. Shockingly, housekeeping knocked on the door of course at noon and we had to tell them again. We do like this hotel and will consider this location the next time we stay in Gainesville but will not pay for the breakfast and I will have to check immediately entering the room for supplies. The staff were professional and friendly so that is always a positive attribute.

Grateful for that** Immediately upon arrival there were young kids playing baseball in parking lot, parents got upset that I wanted to get through to park car...that was the beginning of the end...went in to check in and noticed they were hosting A LOT of kids baseball players. I asked if I left and didnt check if if they'd NOT charge me as I didnt want to stay in a Hilton with a lot of screaming obnoxious kids. Clerk said that NO they WOULD still charge me. OOOOOK then. Then mid conversation with desk girl, some rude dude stumbles up to the front desk asking where the bar is. Front desk cuts off my conversation and tells him where to go to meet his friends. Like what?! You're checking me in...why cater to that type of person when you're already dealing with a guest? There were limited rooms available so I was on first floor. The room itself was great...except mini frig didn't work (apparently common in gainesville) However, within minutes of being in room with door shut I could hear and feel the thumping music and kids screaming. I was there on a BUSINESS trip. I detest thumping foul music to begin with but especially at a HILTON! I expect more than that. I've never had this problem or any problem at any other Hilton other than now the 2 in Gainesville. I was advised by the front desk that "quiet time" starts at 11pm. That's pure insanity and totally unacceptable. In the morning when I checked out the gentleman that was at front desk asked how my stay was. I replied "awful" He wanted to know why. I proceeded to explain and he made excuses the entire time. Told me "That's Gainesville. A sports community." blah blah blah. I don't care if it's Gainesville or anywhere else, when I go to a Hilton I expect peace, quiet, quality otherwise I could stay at a grotesque Motel 8 or some nasty place. Ironically though I've now stayed at 2 different Hiltons in Gainesville and apparently "it IS Gainesville" equates to low quality, substandard service and accommodations. The other hilton was gross/nasty/maintenance issues but quiet...The Garden Inn Hilton was opposite...clean but loud, rude and obnoxious. After this stay, I've decided I will no longer be doing business in Gainesville because it's apparent that the Hilton's there don't meet my expectations like they do in Ormond Beach, Daytona and other areas. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY and wish I had driven the 300+ miles home when I was done with my client on Saturday instead of staying...had I known how bad it was going to be, I'd have gone ahead and lost my $170 for the night and driven straight back. TOTAL FAIL on Hilton.
