Who wants a greasy burrito. Pacific burritos was wet on grease.

Who wants a greasy burrito. Pacific burritos burrito was wet on grease. Don't order the type of burrito

If this rating was based off of their panadería alone, I'd give them 4 stars. They regularly make budín which is my absolute favorite. It's not the best I've had but it's getting harder and harder to find so I appreciate that they carry it here. So why the 3 star rating instead? Well, it's largely based off my annoyance that the items are not labeled with the correct prices or they're not labeled at all. I have my favorite grocery stores for certain items. Strawberries are better at Safeway. Baby spinach at Trader Joe's. Raleys for their carrots. And so on. But sometimes I'll just stop at one store out of convenience or when I know I need a specialty item. I loooooove Mexican food so I find myself at Santa Fe fairly often to pick up those one or two missing ingredients that I know I can't find anywhere else. And if I know I need a staple item of something else, I'll usually add that to my basket too. But when the price rings up at double (or even triple) the regular price of that item elsewhere, you kinda feel taken advantage of. This has regularly happened to me here so I've resorted to only shopping for the items I know are somewhat exclusive to this store. It's cumbersome but it's hard to shop for items when you don't know their prices! Overall ambience is fairly standard for a grocery store but may edge on the run-down side. Some areas, like the panadería, are well maintained. But I wouldn't buy many packaged goods here because I've seen grains and canned items well passed their "best buy" date. So those things seem to be lingering around for a while. Come check this place out for great bakery items at the very least.

I would actually go 2.5 but since I can't do 1/2 couldn't go to 3 so had to go to 2. Me and a buddy stopped in here for lunch. They offer a nice selection on their menu so decided to give it a try. Got the chicken sope plate and a carne asada taco. The prices were ok and serving size was decent. The taste was meh. If I was with someone who really wanted to eat there I probably would but would not recommend or go back on my own.

Wonderful Mexican market with a great produce section. Though I was here for the taqueria. Great selection of pre-cooked meals ready for dine in or to go. I got a carne asada burrito with chips and salsa for $6.99 plus tax. Pretty good deal. The burrito was Mexican rice, beans and meat with salsa. I'll be back to try some of their specials.

Super nachos with carnitas, 2018 vs 2021
    Jerry S.

Super nachos with Carnitas = delicious. Employees = super friendly. Spicy red salsa = incredible. Sad part: I have been weighing the nachos on a food scale since ~2017. In 2018 would give 1450 grams of nachos for $9, but now in 2021 they give around 1100 grams for $13. It means the value (nachos/dollar) has fallen 47%. It depends on who is preparing the nachos, but lately I've received as little as 750 grams, and never more than 1280 grams. The amount used to be amazing, but now it's starting to feel like a rip off, although it is still delicious.

It sucks when someone doesn't speak English and understand what you ordered I ordered a chili relleno and a cheese enchilada plate the lady repeated it which was fine but then when I got my plate I got 4 enchiladas the plate was pretty big. I ordered a small Slice of Cheesecake with a strawberry on top and drizzled chocolate on it from the Panaderia, it looks so good but it was not fresh it had a hard coating around the entire thing meaning it was old or from another day like 2 days ago or maybe even three I ordered a pork tamale for my daughter it was actually pretty good...the food itself was good, very good. My dad ordered chicken fajitas. These combination plates come very large which is pretty good fairly priced.

Santa Fe food market is a destination shopping experience. It's very clean and well stocked. Their produce section is second to none. Variety and presentation in the produce and meat departments deserve praise. The Taqueria, the prepared food deli offers a menu that covers the entire Mexican realm of food offerings. Fish stews, rellenos, street tacos, burritos pork ribs and salads. Fresh made tamales can be purchased near the exit for $1.99 each. Santa Fe is definitely on the food market rotation.

    Pupusas! So delicious!

Good produce at good prices. We were looking for snacks and water to tide us over while we did tourist stuff.

Everything about it was wrong. The dryness of the bread, the apparent lack of butter, the use of powdered milk, the overly sugariness of the almond paste itself. The marina coffee shop used to carry an almond croissant from another bakery, which I was really looking forward to. So when I bit into this one, I was immensely disappointed. Taste is subjective so I can't say that it's terrible, but I really wanted to throw out the remainder of what I was eating.

We also had blueberry muffins for the morning and those were moist and tasty. We ended up going the next evening for a refill as we were headed back to the Bay Area the following morning. Welp, it was sooooo good we went again in the morning. We had to share with our family. We went three days in a row!! I look forward to my next trip out there!

We tried a few, their raspberry Crumble muffin was large, moist and flavorful. In fact all their pan dulce is on the large size. Some of the pan dulce are wrapped in plastic, don't know why. Their churros are very good. It was busy today on new year's eve, everyone was buying huge piles of pan dulce. They also sell ice cream, only one had a lable which was Tamarindo. Another looked like lime, Another dark red maybe raspberry. I am pretty sure one was mango. Next to the ice cream is a Raspado station, like shave ice. They also make Magonadas. I have to come back in the summer to try all of these. They also have gelintinas, flan regular, caramel flan and chocoflan, cheeses and fried potato chips on a stick. Then there's deli/food section. They had lots of taquitos fried up ready to go. They have tamales we'll come back to try those It was so hot today we had to have some Raspados at Sweet Dreams Delight bakery in Seaside. Freshly made while you wait, so good on a hot day. Flavors to choose from: pineapple, cherry, blue raspberry, lime and mango. Plus they have all kinds of great pan dulce, tropical ice cream, juice bar, food plates, tamales, tortas, burritos and birria tacos and ramen. Tienen tamales, volveremos a probarlos.

The texture balance was unreal: crunchy edges with a soft, sweet center. The ube donut was good too, definitely on the sweeter side. If you love sweet treats, you'll enjoy it, but I personally wished the ube flavor came through a bit more to balance it out. The blueberry donut was another standout. Super soft and muffin-like with plenty of blueberry flavor throughout, plus a nice outer layer for texture. Honestly way better than a typical chain version. Donut holes were solid as well, simple, fresh, and satisfying. Overall, everything tasted fresh and high quality. Service was fast, and the baker was super friendly, hooked it up with extra donuts, which made the experience even better. The vibe was welcoming, and it's definitely a spot worth checking out.
