Short story: Yes, I…read more recommend these guys and it was well worth going to East County for my "new" used vehicle, and most noteworthy, the salesperson Dina, who made the process smooth, friendly, and efficient and did not trigger me at all! Long story: What do I mean trigger me? Lemme tell you--I hate high-pressure sales! Most people just find it annoying, but I have some kind of allergic reaction to it when it strikes me as overly manipulative or even like some form of bullying. Maybe because a couple of my first jobs were in sketchy sales (Cutco Knives anyone?--I lasted a whole week!). So yeah, I have kinda gone-off on sales people in the past. I'm not proud of this, it isn't comfortable for anyone, me, the salesperson, or my spouse, hehe... And with the old trope about the used-car salesman, I did a good job just avoiding the dealerships completely. But, with no current hand-me-down vehicles from family available, and my old car deemed a total loss-- I guess it was finally time to get on with what everyone else does as competent adults and just go and buy a car already! My strategy in dealing with myself and the car-buying process was to research online first. This actually worked out better than I would have thought. I used the truecar website link my insurance (Hartford) sent. It had a solid search function, and I was able to get a good sense of what was available in my area, the history and price of different vehicles, and a general sense of how much the taxes and fees would be (and therefore what could be a reasonable amount to negotiate/expect to pay out the door). In this way I was able to pre-shop around for cars, and educate myself on what would be a fair price. None of this is probably new to you experienced car buyers out there, but I think it could be very helpful to some of you, if you are a young or older newbie like myself. Anyway, the car I was interested in was at East County Pre-Owned Car Superstore, and so I arranged to go out there, meet Dina, and go for a test drive. Like anyone practicing new "adulting" skills, I brought my mom along! Well, she drove me, then played a quietly supportive wingman as I got on with the car-buying process. Dina, the salesperson, was easygoing and personable, and I thought she struck a nice balance of being helpful and leading the process forward without pressure. Um, as a side note about salespeople... yes, I tend to avoid them if that is an option, but I also have a dear friend who happens to be a very successful salesperson, and I have had positive experiences with salespeople too. What I've come to realize is that sales, at it's best, is a win-win situation, one in which the price is fair for both parties, and the salesperson helps you find and purchase a quality product that they believe in, you want, and that will serve you well. I feel like Dina is this kind of salesperson. Car shopping/buying takes time and energy to figure out, and I if you're like me you will need to do your homework online first. And if the car you want is in their lot, Dina is someone I wholeheartedly recommend to help you through the process. I came back to the dealership a few days after buying my car so they could replace a small piece of trim that was missing and they had ordered. Dina cheerfully snapped the new part on, and when I told her that the day before, my husband had already put a scratch on the car (he was so bummed and I was just happy it was him and not me:) she called her husband and asked him to come by and buff it out. He did, and made it look so much better! That was very nice, and very much in the spirit of wanting a happy customer even after the sale was made. Thanks to everyone who made it a positive experience for me, most especially you Dina, I'm digging my new car!

We identified a 2018 Jeep Wrangler on the lot that met her needs, and the process that followed was, for the most part, straightforward and professional. The initial sales representative was knowledgeable and patient, answering questions clearly and giving us space to evaluate the vehicle. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to meet the price point we were targeting, and we were prepared to walk away from the deal. At that point, the sales manager, Osama, stepped in and made a meaningful difference. He worked with us to bring the price into a range that made sense, and, importantly, he ensured a few outstanding items were addressed before delivery. The vehicle was properly aligned, and a trunk latch bar was repaired prior to pickup the following day. That attention to detail and follow-through was appreciated and helped make the transaction feel fair and complete. Overall, the buying process was easy and mostly professional, in line with what you'd expect from a smaller, independent dealership. That said, the reason this isn't a five-star review comes down to a single but important moment. After declining the first offer and stepping into the manager's office, we overheard the initial salesperson, along with another salesperson on the floor, speaking negatively about my friend and me regarding the failed negotiation. They were unaware we could still hear the conversation. While unfortunate, it was also unnecessary and unprofessional. Aside from that incident, the experience was acceptable. The inventory is limited (roughly 30 vehicles on the lot), so selection may not suit everyone, but pricing flexibility and management involvement were definite positives. In summary: a generally solid dealership experience with good managerial support, slightly undermined by an avoidable lapse in professionalism on the sales floor.

All my previous cars…read morewere ones I bought from friends who were selling, but it was time for an upgrade and a reliable family vehicle. That's where Vtek Motorsports came in, and Ali and his brother Shikeb made the entire experience truly great. They were upfront, honest, and actually trustworthy--which is rare in the car-buying world. Yes, their vehicles are salvaged, but let's be real--"salvaged" is just a term insurance companies throw around to settle claims. The van I got is amazing, runs great, and only has 51,000 miles! On top of that, they gave me way more than I expected for my trade-in, which was a huge plus. I came to them because a family friend, who has worked on all my cars for over 20 years (and whose word is gold when it comes to anything vehicle-related), highly recommended them. And I can honestly say, he was right. My boyfriend was a little hesitant about the "salvaged" title, so I pulled a Carfax report for peace of mind--and Vtek Motorsports even reimbursed me for it! That kind of honesty and customer service is almost unheard of. If you're looking for a dealership that genuinely cares about its customers and stands by its vehicles, Vtek Motorsports is the place to go. Ali and Shikeb truly made it a great experience. Highly recommend!

I had recently replaced one of them with a pre-owned ACURA I purchased about a month ago which was a very good car buying experience. The dealership we had worked with was great. I still needed to replace the second lease vehicle and I wanted to replace it with another ACURA. I began my search to replace the second lease vehicle. I contacted several dealerships in the LA area over the next 2 months to find another well taken care of vehicle at a fair price. You would think finding any vehicle in a densely populated metropolis such as Los Angeles would be fairly easy, with a plethora of options to choose from. Not so much the case or at least not so much my luck until I expanded my search outside of LA and came across New to You Auto Sales in El Cajon CA. New to You Auto Sales not only had the vehicle (i.e. make, model, options, color, mileage, etc.) but it was also in outstanding condition and they offered it at a very fair price! I checked it out from top to bottom and it was in as good as a new vehicle condition. We made the purchase and drove back home to LA county. Once we got the vehicle back home, I had a certified mechanic give it a thorough inspection and everything came back 100% positive with no issues. The mechanic was equally impressed. I'm glad to say working with New to You Auto Sales was a great experience!

They did however overfill the oil chamber causing a "leak" which turned out to be a blessing in that I caught other issues before complete disaster occurred. The warranty covered NONE of the issues nor were they responsive so I cancelled the extended warranty and Legacy received the refund check and held it for months. They never sent it to my bank nor did they contact me. When I contacted them there was no apology, nothing. They likely deposited my check and collected the interest and probably would have kept it if I didn't finally call and inquire about the refund.
