This is a long overdue review…read more Specifically this review is for my salesperson, Mike. My husband was looking for a new vehicle late last year, and we spent a considerable amount of time shopping and researching online before going anywhere. (I used to sell for Ford for years, and know that I am often a salesperson's worst nightmare.) We went to dealership after dealership, and I was stunned to see just a complete lack of honesty and integrity wherever we went. Car sales is not just about fast deals, it's also relationship building. Car buying often isn't one and done. Sometimes it's finding the right vehicle, working the numbers, continuing to follow up and follow through. But, wow, did we have a run of bad luck/ bad salespeople. It seemed every single salesperson we dealt with was young, inexperienced, and had a complete and utter lack of relationship skills or knowledge. It was completely disheartening. This place was the last stop for us after a very long line of garbage sales experiences. I was frustrated and disillusioned, and I'm already impossible to deal with on my best days. But Mike immediately put us at ease. What a breath of fresh air. Someone with real experience who knew what he was doing, and knew what he was talking about. We negotiated, got to an agreeable place, and finalized the deal. Mike, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for the delay in this well-deserved review. But you're worth your weight in gold to CBM, because there's not another soul there that could have sold me that day. Experience matters. I'd refer my own sons to Mike, he's welcome to dinner at our house any time. 10/10 Also, we had absolutely no issues with registration, license transfer, paperwork, etc.

We identified a 2018 Jeep Wrangler on the lot that met her needs, and the process that followed was, for the most part, straightforward and professional. The initial sales representative was knowledgeable and patient, answering questions clearly and giving us space to evaluate the vehicle. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to meet the price point we were targeting, and we were prepared to walk away from the deal. At that point, the sales manager, Osama, stepped in and made a meaningful difference. He worked with us to bring the price into a range that made sense, and, importantly, he ensured a few outstanding items were addressed before delivery. The vehicle was properly aligned, and a trunk latch bar was repaired prior to pickup the following day. That attention to detail and follow-through was appreciated and helped make the transaction feel fair and complete. Overall, the buying process was easy and mostly professional, in line with what you'd expect from a smaller, independent dealership. That said, the reason this isn't a five-star review comes down to a single but important moment. After declining the first offer and stepping into the manager's office, we overheard the initial salesperson, along with another salesperson on the floor, speaking negatively about my friend and me regarding the failed negotiation. They were unaware we could still hear the conversation. While unfortunate, it was also unnecessary and unprofessional. Aside from that incident, the experience was acceptable. The inventory is limited (roughly 30 vehicles on the lot), so selection may not suit everyone, but pricing flexibility and management involvement were definite positives. In summary: a generally solid dealership experience with good managerial support, slightly undermined by an avoidable lapse in professionalism on the sales floor.

That's where Vtek Motorsports came in, and Ali and his brother Shikeb made the entire experience truly great. They were upfront, honest, and actually trustworthy--which is rare in the car-buying world. Yes, their vehicles are salvaged, but let's be real--"salvaged" is just a term insurance companies throw around to settle claims. The van I got is amazing, runs great, and only has 51,000 miles! On top of that, they gave me way more than I expected for my trade-in, which was a huge plus. I came to them because a family friend, who has worked on all my cars for over 20 years (and whose word is gold when it comes to anything vehicle-related), highly recommended them. And I can honestly say, he was right. My boyfriend was a little hesitant about the "salvaged" title, so I pulled a Carfax report for peace of mind--and Vtek Motorsports even reimbursed me for it! That kind of honesty and customer service is almost unheard of. If you're looking for a dealership that genuinely cares about its customers and stands by its vehicles, Vtek Motorsports is the place to go. Ali and Shikeb truly made it a great experience. Highly recommend!

I had recently replaced one of them with a pre-owned ACURA I purchased about a month ago which was a very good car buying experience. The dealership we had worked with was great. I still needed to replace the second lease vehicle and I wanted to replace it with another ACURA. I began my search to replace the second lease vehicle. I contacted several dealerships in the LA area over the next 2 months to find another well taken care of vehicle at a fair price. You would think finding any vehicle in a densely populated metropolis such as Los Angeles would be fairly easy, with a plethora of options to choose from. Not so much the case or at least not so much my luck until I expanded my search outside of LA and came across New to You Auto Sales in El Cajon CA. New to You Auto Sales not only had the vehicle (i.e. make, model, options, color, mileage, etc.) but it was also in outstanding condition and they offered it at a very fair price! I checked it out from top to bottom and it was in as good as a new vehicle condition. We made the purchase and drove back home to LA county. Once we got the vehicle back home, I had a certified mechanic give it a thorough inspection and everything came back 100% positive with no issues. The mechanic was equally impressed. I'm glad to say working with New to You Auto Sales was a great experience!

I always do my research, and unfortunately my assessment turned out to be correct even before Allman completed their diagnostics. Mike at Allman spent a great deal of time walking me through different scenarios and options, providing detailed estimates for each. I also requested additional estimates, including a full engine replacement, so I could make a fully informed decision. While their estimate was less than dealership service departments, it was slightly higher than another independent shop. After researching the difference, I found it came down to Allman using OEM parts rather than cheaper aftermarket parts made overseas. I don't use cheap parts on my vehicles, so that made the decision easy. Once I felt fully comfortable, I chose Allman and I'm glad I did. Mike kept me informed throughout the process, and my Jeep was back on the road even earlier than estimated. Thank you, Allman Family Auto, for the honesty, transparency, and quality work.

After I raised concerns about what I believed was a misdiagnosis and being overcharged for repairs that did not fix the original issue with my vehicle, I reached out to the shop directly to address the situation. To their credit, once I called them out and explained the ongoing problem, they agreed to take another look at my car. Upon re-evaluation, they acknowledged that the initial repair did not resolve the root issue. They worked on the vehicle again and ultimately fixed the original problem at no additional charge. I appreciate that they took responsibility and made the effort to correct the situation. While my initial experience was frustrating and felt misleading, I do recognize their willingness to make things right after the fact. I hope moving forward they improve their diagnostic process to prevent similar issues for other customers. Updating my review to reflect both the initial experience and the resolution.

I was able to safely maneuver the vehicle onto the shoulder, but the situation could have ended much worse. What happened afterward was equally concerning. The dealership showed very little urgency or genuine concern about the severity of the mechanical failure. Instead of conducting a thorough inspection, they took the truck to a shop across the street for a quick repair and immediately returned it to the lot for sale at the same price of $30,000. Their priority appeared to be removing the vehicle from the accident scene as quickly as possible, seemingly to prevent the incident from appearing on the vehicle's record.Even after nearly experiencing a catastrophic failure, the owner/finance manager showed no willingness to negotiate or acknowledge the seriousness of the situation(I was obviously was not Going to buy it after but I wanted to see how they would handle the situation because they acted so careless) . Their focus was on the sale, not on customer safety or transparency. If you plan to purchase a vehicle here, please ensure it is inspected by a trusted, independent mechanic. Do not rely solely on their claims that the vehicle has been "fully inspected." Saving money is never worth compromising your safety or your family's safety. The sales mab was very nice about it but the owner and the rest of the team were horrible.

In my years, I've done business with nearly a dozen dealerships. From the basic, no-frills financing, to this all-inclusive warranted financing, I've experienced it all. Toyota of El Cajon is, without question, the best I've ever experienced, even long after the contract ink has dried. There was an issue with a less-common extended coverage that didn't go as expected. Jose, my service advisor, did everything he could to get it resolved. When he hit a wall, Laura B. got involved. Laura is what some businesses refer to as "a fixer". She relayed what she was doing and who was involved. The list was not a short one. When things were ironed out, she was able to obtain results that kept the dealership and Toyota in good standing by acting in good faith and resolved the warranted coverage to my satisfaction. I will continue to support both Toyota and Toyota of El Cajon!

I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change, something this dealership has performed many times over the years. After the service, I was informed that the oil drain plug had been stripped and that I now needed to replace the entire oil pan at a cost of approximately $740. Prior to this oil change, there were no leaks, no warning signs, and no issues with the oil pan or drain plug. The damage was discovered only after the dealership performed the service. It is difficult to understand how a routine maintenance item could suddenly become my financial responsibility when the problem arose during the oil change. What is most disappointing is not just the cost, but the lack of accountability. After being a loyal customer for a decade, I expected the dealership to stand behind its work and make a genuine effort to resolve the situation fairly. I received a call from Mr Anderson informing me that he would take care of labor and I would need to pay for parts. I informed Mr Anderson that I did not feel comfortable taking my vehicle back to them since they were not truthful for the beginning. I told him where I would be taking my vehicle and he told me to keep him posted of charges and that he would take care of labor. I gave him the verbal quote and he had no issues other than if the dealership would be charging me a diagnostic test. I told him no and if they did I would give him a call back. Vehicle was repaired and invoice sent to Mr Anderson. Two weeks later and he has not paid for the repair. Customer loyalty should matter. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in a service department I trusted for many years. I hope the dealership reviews its service procedures and how it handles situations like this so other long-time customers are treated more fairly
