The ambience and atmosphere were wonderful. The receptionist, also wonderful. I am disappointed w the services I received. My full set was ok. There are imperfections (bubbling/bumps) in the gel polish. The nail tech doing my pedicure was not friendly. She applied lotion, I will not call what she did a massage. The polish job was horrendous. Nail polish was on my skin and left uncleaned. When she put on my sandals, she caused and indent in the polish of my big toe. She tried to play it off like nothing happened but it was too obvious not to notice. Instead of removing the polish and starting over, she added more polish to fill the indent. She didn't wait for the colored polish to dry so when she applied the top coat, the brush dragged the color polish around. When I tried to point out the indent left by the top coat polish by pointing, she aggressively grabbed my wrist and said it was my nail beds fault. I know she wasn't trying to hurt me and it was a reaction but it still made me feel uncomfortable especially because she was already showing how annoyed she was by my requests. I asked the receptionist if she could ask the nail tech to completely redo my big toe. The same nail tech removed the polish and reapplied. Again, she was rushing because she had another customer. I ended up with the same result. I sat there for a few minutes. Went to the receptionist again and kindly asked for someone else to completely redo them. They look 100xs better. Oh, there was no "indent in my nail bed." 2 stars for the wonderful receptionist and nail tech that came to my rescue. ***UPDATE/EDIT*** After I got home and had another chance to think about my experience, I looked up their menu of services. I chose the Organic Spa pedicure. Photo shows what is included. Not only did I not get a massage, I also didn't get the following: 1) organic cooling gel 2) cucumber heel therapy 3) my choice of scent. I sincerely thought about giving this place another try. Everyone has an off day, right? Now that I've realized not only did the initial nail tech try to deceive me, I was also cheated out of services I paid for, I will not be returning. It has been three months since my last manicure at another salon went south. My nails were still recovering. Barley nubs. But I decided I wanted to get back to doing my nails. I researched A TON on places in East Valley and landed here. And boy am I glad I did! Not only did they fit me in within an hour, but I scheduled my appointment through FB messenger (which was super convenient)! No cleaned up of the cuticle at all, and barely any cleanup on the dip after she finished, well, dipping. The menu stated, cuticles would be cleaned up, didn't happen. They had two options, never was asked which one I wanted. The dip is uneven as well are my nails. Probably one of the worst I've gotten. The pedicure, meh. I asked for the mid range, she tried point to the one more expensive I think two times like she couldn't understand me. Nope! Just the mid thx. But other that that, it was just ok. Until the end, my polish just finished, she puts my shoes on, opens the chair and basically forced me out. I don't think I'll be coming back here. read more

My nails are ok. But I was suggested to do things that I didn't realize are 5$ for each thing, oh you should do glitter $5, that picture would look better ombré $5, almond shape $5. This was 80$ and each hand looks different also with no hand massage and no cuticle oil rubbed in. I will not be back. They are ok nails but not worth $80. I didn't even have any to take off prior. As the kids say, this place was legit (or is that so 10 years ago?). The place is open and airy, the decor is modern, the people are friendly. Let me start out by saying I'm completely OCD about my nails and it takes me a long time to find a place and a person that I love going to. I have tried quite a few other places in the area and this one is hands down the best!! I've gone to Sam a few times now for SNS and my nails look great and last. She's super particular about the shape and details which I love and does an amazing job. Last time I was in the owner, Kelvin, removed by old SNS and took time and made sure not to damage my existing nails. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate this. So many places are so quick to soak your entire hands in acetone and then force the nails off, not here. Kelvin is also a great person, and business owner. They have fostered growth in their business by investing in quality service and people and it shows! If you live in the area, definitely check this place out! Side note- I'm not as picky about my pedicures but their chairs are AMAZING! I had a gel pedicure done (also by Sam) over a month ago and it still looks great! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I'd been here a few times with no incident and actually liked the people I had doing my nails. Yesterday, a girl made a mistake and some of the dip polish she did on one nail cracked and chipped off. Whatever fine I'll get it fixed. When the manager called asking about why I called the day before, I explained what happened and asked if I could come get it fixed. He kept saying how busy they were and asked if I could come in the afternoon. Since I was going out of town, I said I had to come in the morning. He sounded really annoyed and told me to come at 9. I did, and one guy started taking off my polish and then redoing it. He put on one coat and immediately did two more. It was uneven and bumpy and he said he had to smooth it. Fair. He then had someone else step in who saw a line on my nail proceeded to redo part of it. Then she put a bunch of coats of clear on it and told me to put my finger in front of a fan for 5 mins. After the 5 mins were up, it hadn't dried so the guy came back and ground it down AGAIN and put more clear on it. My nail is now two different shades and that nail is also now a different shape than all the others. I went and spoke with the manager before I left about how rude the guy was and that it shouldn't take 45 minutes to redo ONE nail. He was extremely defensive and rude and said they were busy, it happens. I don't pay as much as I do to have my nails done half-assed, which is clearly what happened. He could have offered me a discount on next time, or offered an apology. He didn't apologize, and said well you don't have to pay. So...you're saying that I should be happy I don't have to pay to fix a mistake you made and did a poor job fixing? That...makes no sense. He then proceeded to ignore me until I left. I can't believe they feel like they can treat their customers this way. read more

I went to this place once and didn't like it at all.. decided to give it another try because I believe everyone has one bad day. The customer service is so miserable... no warm welcoming.. no excitement.. just very to the point. They also don't accept you to tip via card so you have to use their ATM to pull cash out.. which is a scam itself. Machine & staff say it's $1.00 fee but my bank charged almost $4 to withdrawal from their ATM. I get the same pedicure everytime I go somewhere .. soft pink base with white tip. I use regular polish and never use gel. I told the lady what I wanted & she told me I would have to get gel..I didn't want to do gel and she told me she couldn't do what I asked for because I NEEDED gel. She said there would be no way for her to give me a French with soft pink base with regular polish... I was super frustrated because she could've just told me she didn't know how to do a French with a different color base... instead of trying to upsell me to use gel. So I resulted to just one plain color for the whole nail. She was pretty aggressive with the pedicure.. didn't even massage my feet.. super rushed and lazy tbh... I paid for the upgrade pedicure too. I enjoyed my experience greatly. I had previously gone to a salon a little closer to home but the shapes were mismatched and levels uneven. I was warmly welcomed. Sign-in was efficient. Color selection of dip powders with matching gel polishes were generous. The pair of technicians were done nearly at the same time with my nails completing first when he had to fix the foundation of another salon. Extremely pleased with the outcome. They want to speak amongst themselves in a different language and 1 man @ the front tried to speak English, I literally reached over grabbed their menu and opened it up to prove to him he was trying to rip me of! Their starting price is $35 so how was he charging me this??? He was rude and it was disrespectful to talk in a different language right in front of me. We spent over 200$ at this salon and the service was not worth the money. This salon is BEAUTIFUL, absolutely stunning however the service does not meet expectations. I won't be back. The massage was mediocre. Literally for a $50 pedicure I expected so much more. My mom got 2 acrylic powder on her big toes and gel polish and her toes look crooked, I pointed it out and she said it was because of the powder, well then fix it!? But my mom was too nice and didn't want to say anything. Her pedicure alone was $70! Seventy-dollars got gel polish to be on her skin and a crooked bumpy toe. Never again. 50$ for just callus, cooling gel, and paraffin wax. I could go to a different salon and get a mask included and a wayyyy better massage. Although the service was awful and customer service was ehhh we still tipped well. We understand everybody is trying to make a living but when people spend $50-$80 on a service, match it and give us the service we paid for. So disappointed read more

Still the BEST! I've been coming here for 9 years and have never had a bad experience. The owners are continuously updating and adding new things to make the experience even better. I have done everything you can do with your nails, and they excel every time. Super clean, super friendly, and they have lots of space for groups, which is great because I bring all my out of town guests here! They are also so lovely with kids, I have brought my niece for mani-pedis since she was 4 and they totally spoil her! Terrible experience. My two thumbs are not dry and uneven. It's not dry inside. It's wet inside as soon as it's torn open. They finished it in a few minutes. They don't guarantee the quality at all. Why is it this way? It used to feel good before. I did few times. Don't you recruit technically qualified employees? It's a very young girl with short hair who makes my feet nails for me. I took my daughter there today for her birthday pedicure and I decided to get a manicure while waiting. I had two separate people do my nails and the first one put oil on my nails and cuticles but then wiped it off with water not acetone .. so we finished paid and went on our day...we went shopping and all I did was reach for a pair of pants and three of my nails were ruined. The polish literally slid down my nail. Did not dent or chip just slip down... we had gone to lunch before shopping so there was plenty of time for them to dry plus I sat there for a half an hour waiting for my daughter to be done and let them dry under a fan . We went back to San Tan Nails and I showed the girl what happened and she goes oh I fix it only take 1 minute I said no this is my daughter's birthday day and we have the entire day planned I don't have the time ... she said since it was only three Nails she could not refund me but she could fix it I said what makes you think the rest of them aren't going to do the exact same thing. She refused the $25 refund so I'm going to dispute it with my bank . She was very rude and her customer service skills were not on point . I will never go back there read more

I went in for a new full set of nails and left with the worst shaped nails I have ever gotten. I am not going to mention who did my nails because I am not that type of person and she was super sweet but she was rushed towards the end because they got super busy and I could tell she wasn't paying her full attention because I mean.. look at these? They look like claws and are all lop sided, and lemme say $65 is not cheap (see pic below). I was so upset when I left but didn't say anything because I am not one to complain. Anyways, I drive around in panic mode and stumble across a lil nail salon near my house called Beauty Calls Nail Salon and Spa in Mesa. This is my usual spot to go to for nails. Amy is amazing! She does a fantastic job. I am giving it 3 stars, though because I have had terrible experience with the SNS. SNS is supposed to last 3-4 weeks and lately mine have lasted for 1-2 at best. The last time I just came in to have them remove it because it started to crack literally a week after I had the SNS done. I do recommend their pedicures though! I have had great experiences with pedicures and their waxing, too. read more

Love this place - especially Loni. Seamless sign in process. The waiting area could be a little larger but they work with what they got and make sure that the nail center is spacious. Excellent job on SNS dips and gel. They just seem to be a step above the rest in SNS technique. Their removal process also leaves nails healthy without stripping. This was the absolute worst manicure I've ever had. I went in for a dip powder removal and manicure. Dip powder remains on my nails. My hands were never soaked in water, barely filed, no cuticle removal and I was charged $30. The front desk the woman wasn't helpful and rude. She changed the price several times and when I showed her how terrible my nails were she said " but she used lotion, that's a manicure" I am in total disbelief that this was how my nails look after a $30 service. read more

Got my gel nail remove and got a regular color. Cut my finger, did not file nails all the way and have to color 4 coats of nail polish to cover it and still need more. Nails still come out to be uneven. Ask for manager, manager tell me to just go!!! Very rude. Tech blamed me for not filling nails all the way, and blamed the pick color I choose is too light! I recently returned back to SanTan Nails and Spa. I was able to again, make an appointment easily over the phone with Kevin. I requested Amy this time as I really enjoyed my experience with her previously. I arrived a little bit early and they took me right away. I was escorted to the pedicure chair where Sammie did my pedicure. Amy was with another customer at first so somebody else soaked off my dip polish while I was getting my pedicure. I had a very enjoyable experience, once again and Amy even nudged me to get a little crazy and choose a bolder color outside of my comfort zone. I've never gotten so many compliments! They do have a refrigerator with smaller water bottles. A few suggestions that would make the experience nicer: offering water, coffee, or tea as a lot of nail salons do, better Wi-Fi, and the option to do a dollar a minute shoulder massage based on staff availability. If the spa got those few things, it would be an A+ in my book! I was still very happy with the services I received. read more
