Hard to choose just a few items from their menu, but I went with the beet salad, the skewer platter, and finished it off with the soft serve. My favorite was probably the chicken heart skewer actually, so don't be scared to try this one! Everything was so delicious, simple yet really flavorful. Don't think you can go wrong with anything. Their Negroni was superb! Highly recommend, and will definitely be coming back. The service was exceptional!!

First, the vibe is so intimate and cozy. Getting in without reservations is tough unless you go at an odd hour. And if they do let you in, don't test them on the your time limit. Be extra grateful and make it easy so they can seat the actual pre-reserved folks. The place is small enough and the service is nearly 2:1, so they'll definitely remember you. With that said, we tried it best to be on good behavior but that Sake flight had us feeling spicy! Which I'll speak to next, the sake flight delightfully surprised me, and gave me a few things I liked enough to order again. Did not expect that. But I shouldn't be surprised, they're obviously going to have something wildly well-curated, given the successful history of Anjin's creator. I know I'm supposed to talk about the food. But it almost feels pointless. It was obviously amazing. It's a small curated menu. They're famous for their sandwich, whatever rotation they're serving will be sure to please you. They didn't have a lot of vegan options on the menu so my friend got the cabbage dish and it was absolutely wonderful as well. That might be my only watch out if somebody is a vegan, check out the latest menu before going. With such a curated, small menu it may or may not be in a vegan's favor depending on the season. And if it's not, just drink more sake! Can't wait to return, especially with those visiting from out of town to give them an authentic, locally-owned experience.

Most of my orders have been curbside pickup since it's right around the corner from my house, and the process has always been quick and seamless. Let me tell you about the Great Salmon Caper Sandwich. A soft, pillowy brioche bun, flaky grilled salmon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, topped with a creamy, tangy aioli. It is quite literally one of the best salmon sandwiches I've ever had. When I say I'll never get sick of this sandwich, I mean it. It's a genuine 10/10 and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The Cluckers are also excellent and come with an absurd amount of food. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces can sometimes be so large that the chicken-to-breading ratio feels a little off. Other than that, they're fantastic. The breading is seasoned perfectly, the chicken is juicy, and the price is extremely affordable for the portion size. The homemade honey mustard is also some of the best I've ever had and is easily my favorite dipping sauce on the menu. Wally's is one of those places that never disappoints. Fast service, affordable prices, generous portions, and consistently great food make it an easy recommendation.

First of all--so many beers, including lots of local on draft, which are amazing! Lots of options for any flavor profiles, and they even include at least one seltzer/cider and setimes a cocktail for those who are not inclined to drink beer! The bartenders are always amazing, and are up for offering a sample if you're between a few options. They are always patient with me as I make my decisions! The ambiance is very chill, with pool and lots of tvs that are showing everything possible. They do trivia every Wednesday, and that is a great time! My only complaint is that the place can get pretty loud because of the acoustics, but when it isn't super busy (or if it is nice outside) that is ideal! Last but not least, they have a Nightmare Before Christmas party day, which includes a beer goblet and a series of special beers each year. How can I not support a place that celebrates my favorite movie?! Thanks, iTap for helping me celebrate great movies and everyday moments!

We had the caramel cream ale, which is in my top 5 beers of all time. Perfectly sweet and light. The peach tee kolsch was good too- a nice balance of peach. The cherry limeade wheat was right on the edge of sour. It was good that it was served in a smaller glass so we didn't do too much of it. We also did a shot of the stonebreaker cinnamon whiskey, which was a really nice collab between fringe and another local distillery. Super smooth with an oaky flavor on the background. Absolutely love the dark carnival decor, especially the pinball machines, the giant skeleton and the patio with a garage door interior. Highly highly recommend on every level. You should go!

I tasted 10 during my visit and every single beer was worth trying. My faves were: Freshly Squeezed Blueberry Lemonade Wheat, Apple Pie Milkshake IPA and Calliope Caramel Cream Ale. Finally, the most important part of the operation is the people. Every single person that was present made me feel welcome and like I was already a part of their community. WOW, I was left feeling like I'd made new friends which I know I did. I travel to KC at least once per year and every year I will return to support this awesome brewery. Thank you for a memorable experience.

The beer and whiskey options are fantastic! So many different things to try - many of which I hadn't heard of before. Our group tried different beers as well as a few of their whiskey cocktails. We really enjoyed all of our choices. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is that the bartender was not very personable. We are the type of people that like to try different things, so we have questions and would like some options or opinions from those that work there. She didn't really offer much banter or discussion, poured our drinks, and then left and never really followed up. She sat behind the bar, chatting with what seemed like a friend, and never checked in again. And when we went up to the bar to order another drink, it felt like we were interrupting her chat.
