That all happened today plus we wanted to introduce our friends to the restaurant. Olivia, our server, was the best. She had a fantastic personality and really made us feel so welcomed and at home. Brenda, you have a star here! We started off with an order of Fried Onion Rings. They were fried to perfection - were huge and were very tasty. Our friends ordered a Grilled Turkey Reuben on Rye Bread loaded with sliced turkey, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing, and melted Swiss cheese and a Mamie's Open Faced Hot Sandwich with a huge amount of fresh-baked Turkey Breast topped with gravy and another huge amount of mashed potatoes (check out the pictures). I enjoyed my favorite sandwich, which is Mamie's Favorite Triple Decker Shrimp Salad and Crab Cake Club with chips. My husband was taken aback with the size of his Country Fried Steak and mashed potatoes. Everyone had something to take home with them. The portions are more than generous. The one thing that Mamie's always does that makes them stand out from all the other restaurants is that they give you a free dessert. We were all so full, we took our to go. We took 2 rice puddings and 2 cinnamon cakes home to enjoy later. We had a great time a Mamie's!

Awesome photos, hilarious knick-knacks and items, and history is on full display. Loved their fun theme. Our meal was very good, and our server Tyler did a good job on an extremely busy night. My Meat Loaf meal was delicious, and the baked potato plus carrots were yummy. My dining partner loved her Stuffed Shrimp, potato salad, and beets.

What a shameful way to treat customers--especially when they're trying to accommodate dietary needs in good faith. I will never return and my coworkers (who are not vegan) won't go back either. Hopefully, we'll find another place in the area to host future events.

8/12/2021 I've been to this restaurant several times and had pretty good service. Until now! A young lady was on the phone taking phone orders, she answered the phone two times as I stood at the counter. I was finally able to place my order for slices of the pizza that was sitting in the display window on the counter. As I waited I saw two other employees, both young ladies, come in to start work. They both placed their purses up on the counter next to the unprotected pizza. They began taking items out of their purses, cell phones and other miscellaneous items. Placing them too right on the counter next to the unprotected pizza. One wipes her hand through her hair. They both went right to work at the front counter. No one washed their hands and were prepared to give me the contaminated pizza. I hadn't been served yet so I asked for my money back and was going to leave quietly. But "NO" the head guy had to turn it into a big issue. It got verbally ugly at that point. I received my money and I left. Leaving never to return! Cleanliness and customer service as demonstrated is not a priority at this establishment. read more
