I used to like their food and was a regular customer for delivery but now they have very rude females answering the phone and asking you if you don't know your own address and hung up on you if you are not fast enough. I never thought in these tough Covid times when we are being told to support the struggling restaurant industry such employees would have the audacity to be so rude, nasty and disrespectful. McDonald's employees are far much better trained in customer service than these Santoro's women employees. No wonder McDonald's has been around forever and they never go out of business. This place is "wicked awesome". I ordered the cheesesteak and my brothers got some pizza. Both were awesome. They are a cash only establishment and don't have normal pop machines, but they'll hook you up with a 2 liter or smaller in a bottle. They also stay open late. Greasy spoon spot! The cheesesteak is the best in all of Boston. It's not philly style but unique and really fattening. Steak loaded with greasy onions and cheese. Placed a small simple order it took 2 hours, for the delivery guy to call me asking my address and that he was on my street, ( I live 1/4 th of mile away). Just ordered from there delivery is fast however do not order a roast beef sandwich from here. Almost 5 dollars and they put 3 pieces of beef on there that are almost black. Way over cooked. It's actually been many years since I've been to this place, but I really liked their veal cutlet subs, but never tried any other ones. I thought it was one of the best places I ever had subs. But, I did stop going, because someone told me they actually SMOKE while their making the sandwiches. Again, it's been years since I've been there, and it's massachusetts law now that no smoking is allowed by customers at restaurants, never mind the restaurant staff, (as was a health code violation even before the law went into effect) but you never know, as someone else said yes it is in a pretty rough location in Lowell, almost in the downtown area, and when I went there it wasn't really too in shape, a little run down, the cops and board of health may turn a blind eye to it read more

This was never a fancy sub place .. Been around for years but always very inexpensive and quick , great food .. The previous owner was a great guy and employees were excellent .. However since it change hands a few months ago it has gone down drastically in every category .. Food is now atrocious .. Except for a couple of the old employees that are left , the new employees are incredibly rude and the service is drastically way down than it used to be .. I only hope these new owners sell out to someone who knows what they're doing but until then DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME .. Hadn't been to Santoro's in a long time. Picked up a Greek salad today. The veggies were fine, fresh, not wilted. Unfortunately though there were only 2 small Greek olives and a smidgen of feta cheese (chopped in small cubes). I expected Syrian bread but it was a 1/2 slice of some kind of thin filo dough "bread". Me and my family been eating at Santoros since im 10 years old. Once it got bought by Angelinas, santoros have become one of the shitties restaurant. Payed $11 for a wing dinner to get 6 pieces of chicken with barely any fries and an empy plate. I asked for well done and my food was barely even cooked the fries were soggy . The little salad I got smelled/looked horrible . AND NOT ONLY THAT one of the owners dropped my slice of pizza from the oven CLEANED IT and try to serve it to me put karma is a b**** and the slices of pizza fell at his feet a second time infront of us so he had to replace them - little did he know i was watching him the entire time. I miss the old owners man - Angelinas ruin everything .. not only did you jack up the prices but made the portion smaller like if we wouldn't notice? While the food is alright if you're drunk, any other time it's absolutely underwhelming. The biggest problem I had with santoros is their customer service, I was given an attitude over the phone and then hung up on after completing my order. I've ordered from Santoros 3 times now. First and second times were great, pie was good, service was good it was delightful experience... Then the 3rd time sh** hit the fan. I ordered 2 pies chicken finger to be exact around 10:26 pm then the shit show began. I'm sitting around playing xbox with the boys times flying by I check my phone it's been an hour! I call the place up they messed up and went to a street instead of a road. The pie shows bout an hour n 30 deep. Pies luke warm, at this point I've lost my appetite. I open the pie and to add insult to injury the pie is cut like nothing I've ever seen. I've seen the run of the mill slip up pie cut but this was like no other. The delivery lady asked if I could get some discount they said no. Total BS. She offers to pay a discount out of her own pocket whata saint, i declined though. I've ordered from this place 3 times and 2 were good 1 was horrific. What type of consistency is that ? What type of message does that send, there's a 33% chance you're gunna get f***ed.
