Got an estimate from them to have the brake drums reground on my 1960 Dodge, around $150. The mechanic said my car also needed brake shoes and wheel cylinders. I agreed to do the work he thought was necessary. They kept my car for over three weeks and never contacted me with any updates on the service. I had to call them to get updates. The final bill? $2,500!! I thought this was a joke. I consulted other mechanics about the work and they couldn't believe this highway robbery, their pricing estimates were much more reasonable. This does not end here. Driving home the brake pedal was so low the 3,500 pound Dodge would barely stop. It came back in much worse shape than when I had dropped it off. I am now in the process of getting my car towed to a more reputable facility, as it is VERY DANGEROUS to operate. I now have a towing bill and am expecting another bill from the new facility. Riverhead Brake will tell you they are a family business and have been open for many years, the truth however is that the business was sold some time ago, and with service like this hopefully they won't be around long to rob future customers. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

In 2021 I was looking for a 2018 Honda HRV and there weren't any available near me. 2018 is an awesome year for reliability and it was during the pandemic. So everyone was holding onto them. I remember coming to the dealership here in Riverhead, and I didn't feel any personal connection. Fast forward to 2025 and now my mom is looking for an excellent used car. The 2018 Honda HRV STILL tops reliability lists for the HRV and used cars in general. So when I saw Apple Honda list one with low mileage, mom and I were there first thing Monday morning right when it opened. Little did we know the staff were going to be just as wonderful as the car we bought!! YOU MUST SEE RICARDO RODRIGUEZ for a wonderful sales experience. He greeted us at the door. He respected everything about our visit: That I knew what car I was looking for. That my mom and I had time constraints and only had an hour to spend there before we could return the next day. He was such a sweetheart, so pleasant, and did I mention he is an opera singer? The day we signed he sang for us (we are a musical family) and you hold your breath he's that amazing. He also handled my 78-year-old mother's test driving very well! So informative and patient with her. Once we came back the second day to take care of all details, we got to work with Peter and Rich(Richard). These gentleman are such a pleasure to do business with. The whole time we knew this was the right car for my mom, this was the right dealership for my mom!! The staff is happy and so wonderful to do business with. It felt like being helped by family, from Ricardo, to Peter, to Richard. Just amazing. These are REAL people treating you like you are real people. My mom has no regrets and we hope to stay in touch with all these wonderful people! No yucky schmooze here! No impersonal walls. Ricardo was honest and transparent throughout our entire conversations about the car, as well as Richard about the warranty and financing. (Peter helps you get your car covered by your insurance right there on site--amazing. you don't have to worry about anyting!) Stop by and ask for Ricardo!!
