Tried to find things wrong and upsell work that had recently been done. Then my car was making a noise it wasn't making when I got there. They said it wasn't. I won't go anywhere else, these guys are the best. I've had to go there 3 times in the last month and no matter the day or time they found time to take me in almost immediately. They fixed what was needed to be fixed, gave me a price 50% less than what was quoted to me at other mechanics. Brand new parts right out of the box, delivered by the local auto parts store. I've dealt with Mohammed in the past and he's always so great but is away right now, Andrew is running the show and doing such a great job. Personable, respectful and fair. I went to dealership after paying best price &484 To fix stalling by changing spark plugs and oil change. Dealership says spark plugs not new oil new wrong viscosity but oil filter not new. Pulled in with a flat on my F150. The rims don't come off this thing without extensive persuasion. Mohammed took great care of me, as did the very helpful guy that fixed the hole. Both wound up under the truck with sledgehammers to get the rim free. After a half-hour struggle in the heat I was happily on my way. The cost for all of this - $15. Not Best price but rather Worst price Took my car to the Moriches shop to replace serpentine belt and spark plugs with ignition wires on day one. I supplied all the parts. I was given a price which I agreed to, but the it took a long time to do the tune up. On second day I brought the car again to the shop to replace all four rotors and pads and I additionally asked to flush brake fluids. I supplied all the parts. Both jobs above were done by a non-seasoned technician. Due to a poor/bad brake flush job, on the third day I brought the car back due to smoke coming out of the driver side tire. I was told that I need a brake caliper because flushing the brake fluids ceased the caliper. The owner charged me $295. I called other repair shops, the price is under $190. The owner informed that the first job with the tune up took long. It's not my problem that the technician had a problem with the tuneup Owner makes up prices as he feels like it. Went in for a last minute car inspection. They tried to tell me I wouldn't pass without two new back tires (I had just been somewhere for something else and my tires were deemed fine). I told them I just wanted to leave. Lo and behold, as I pulled out, I didn't get down the street before my back tire was almost empty with a very crafty cut. There was nothing I could do but WARN everyone to stay away. Unfortunately it's a bitter lesson learned. read more

Mohammed who runs the Riverhead shop is a great, honest guy who tells you what needs to be done and what can wait. His brother JR who runs the Moriches shop on the other hand is the complete opposite. Never met someone so rude and disrespectful in my life. He first tried selling me over $2000 worth of repairs that I didn't need to do all at once or need at all and then he tried scaring me into the repairs like my engine was going to explode. Cause he is rich he thinks everyone else is and he doesn't understand not everyone has that kind of money to put into their car all at once. I will never go to either shop if JR is there. I will wait till Mohammed is there or go elsewhere. Several other people have said the same thing. JR you are not the only shop around. Sad that Mohammed is losing business because of JR. Stay away if JR is at either place and your wallet will be happier. read more

Don't go to this auto repair shop for any reason. They do the usual scam of finding something else wrong with your auto. In addition they charge very high rates for the work that they do. Find a more reputable repair shop to get your inspections and repairs done. read more

Stay away from this place at all costs, not only do they do shoddy work, they're shakedown artists as well. Let me give you a few of my stories: A few years ago I brought my Ford F150 to this shop because I needed a brake hose. they repaired the hose, but instead of fastening the brake hose to the proper spot with the proper clip, they used a zip tie to hold it into place. Because of this, the tire ended up chafing the new brake line, and I had to install a new one--THE RIGHT WAY--and its perfectly fine. I brought my car to this place to get it inspected. I've brought this car to this place in the past, and figured it would be a relatively painless process this time around. WRONG. They first told me I needed new front rotors and pads; at this point I became irate because both the rotors AND the pads were under a year old. The rotors were rusty because the car sat for about a month, but this is a common thing. They also told me that my rear pads were bad, and they were not. I am going to do everything in my power to make people avoid this place at all costs. I am on a crusade, because I'm tired of these auto repair shops ripping people off. read more

Don't go here if you value your life & the lives of your family, nor if you want quality & LEGAL auto parts or tires. This place sold a set of 4 tires that do not bear a DOT/serial number on them which is ILLEGAL in the United States. They put 4 "new tires" on my Jeep for $500----tires are made in China, have no DOT numbers on any of them. He refused to give me any paperwork that had the DOT numbers (which is a federal law pursuant to Section 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 574), refused to refund any money, told me that the Michelins they took off only one week ago were "gone", would not meet the price of the Chinese tires I found on several sites on the internet ($71/tire----literally half of what they charged for these pieces of crap), and tried every which way but Tuesday to convince me these were "new tires" that would go 50,000 miles. He deferred to a tire distributor in Deer Park, who also tried to pull the wool over my eyes & tell me that putting the DOT numbers on the receipt was not necessary nor required--the guy actually laughed at me when I told him that I have 2 receipts for Michelin tires I purchased in the past that had the DOT numbers on the receipt. I ended up calling VISA to initiate a chargeback & submit a dispute----they're going to place a hold on the charge & give this junkyard a chance to make good (which I doubt they will). The tires are called "Ecosavers", apparently made by some outfit called "Saffiro" in China. These thieves cannot even prove that these ties are new! No paperwork, nothing. The distributor in Deer Park faxed over a "Standard Warranty", just to pacify me, knowing that I was a woman----but this woman knows how to read, and the warranty he faxed over was for a totally different brand of tire!! And it looked like something that was from a newpaper clipping or something. He said he'd "email it to me", and that I could "find it on the internet"---which does me no good if I have NOTHING in writing that even states that these are the tires that were sold to me! Neither one of them would put anything in writing---the guy at Best Price wouldn't even write on the receipt that he sold me 4 Ecosaver tires. That's okay----I recorded the entire interaction with the guy at Best Price Auto Repair, and the entire telephone conversation with the guy at the tire distributor in Deer Park that proves their outright refusal to put anything in writing. I tried to resolve the matter then & there---I told the guy to put my Michelins back on, take the 4 Chinese tires back & refund my money, and he said my old tires were gone----yet, the ones on the back had less than 30,000 miles on them..............and, coincidentally, they sell USED TIRES. Those 2 tires didn't even need to be replaced!!! I offered to pay $71/tire, which is what I saw them for on several different online sites----he refused. He told me to go get the tires I wanted someplace else, bring back the Chinese tires & he'd refund me-----and I asked him exactly how I was going to get 4 SUV tires back to his shop, by pack mule? Because 4 SUV tires won't fit in my Jeep! And now it was MY RESPONSIBILITY to bring these crappy tires back to him for a refund? I don't think so. I made him aware that I was going to initiate a chargeback with VISA, file a dispute, report him to the BBB & he didn't care. Maybe he'll care that the National Highway Transportation Safety Association fine is $5,000 per tire for selling me illegal tires that do not bear a DOT numbers, and I have reported him already. Good luck dude. Now those tires are evidence. My mother actually was trying to do something nice for me because I work a lot, & didn't have time to run around to get tires. I wanted Michelins, which is what I always get. She told this guy that, & he said he "didn't have them in stock", but he had these tires (that he told her were made by Goodyear) that were "just as good as Michelins & would last for 50,000 miles. She didn't know any better, and she said that he "seemed so nice". He took advantage of a old woman, sold illegal tires to her, not realizing that she has a daughter who is much smarter than she is about automobile issues. Not only did he charge double for these pieces of crap, he sold a set of illegal tires which he shouldn't get any money for. The same goes for the tire distributor in Deer Park---he confirmed that he sold this guy these tires (I have him on recording acknowledging that he sold him these tires), and so he is liable to be fined $5,000 per tire as well. I asked him for ANY documentation that showed the DOT numbers---I asked him to show me the receipt from the distributor in Deer Park, and he refused to show it to me. This place is so desperate for a buck that they don't care that they violated federal law! They probably think that I don't know about the laws... Stay away from this place. So disappointed in this shop. They gave a quote for a job that seemed a little high, but given we'd otherwise be stranded, agreed to the cost. Returning the next day to pick up the vehicle, the quoted price grew from $700 to $1000...why the $300 growth? Because the serpentine belt needed to be replaced. A $20 part that takes 10 mins to changed tacked on another $300 to the bill. We debated and the price came down to $850 proving there was no legitimacy to the original price, and that it was just an inflated figure to take advantage of our situation. The invoice was given to us as chicken scratch with absolutely no prices shown for parts, or hours for labor. When asked how long they spent on the vehicle the response was, "I don't know, like 3-4 hours". So which is it? Given labor is charged at an hourly rate, 3-4 hours seemed ambiguous (especially given we had to ask for this figure and it wasn't outlined on the invoice). Overall this shop lacked honesty, integrity, transparency, and professionalism. It felt like being kicked while we were down to have broken down far from home and then to be taken advantage of when we needed reliable and honest help. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. John is racking up some serious debt with karma that will not look kindly upon him when his day comes. read more

Incorrectly installed front brakes ,twisted the brake hoses so when the wheel was turned the hoses would pinch off burning the new brakes because they would not release if I was turning and apply brakes.This was found by another shop.Always ask if your mechanic is certified to work on your car.Good luck. read more
