    Filetto al Pepe Nero

The service was outstanding and the food to die for! I had cognac infused peppercorn filet (Filetto al Pepo Nero) and my boyfriend had rack of lamb. The mashed potatoes and Caesar salad were also yummy. Our server/bartender Indira was friendly and so accommodating! Wish I lived nearby because I would come often! The wine selections were very good. I recommend the Tignanello.

The sauce on the nightly special escargot was so good that I would have been satisfied with no snails at all!

We had such a wonderful experience here! We ordered the salmon, veggie sausage roll, and squash…read moresoup; all were absolutely delicious and came out quickly. The service was just as great as the food. Our waitress was so friendly, joking around with us and making the whole meal extra enjoyable. Excellent service, great food, and a really warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back if we're in the neighborhood!

Figured I'd try the place earlier this week based on the yelp reviews. Restaurant is in a space…read morethat's had a lot of turnover through the years, but reviews were good and it looked updated. Sat at the bar and ordered a strawberry mojito. Fresh strawberries and mint were nice to see, but there was hardly any alcohol in the drink and the straw was far too narrow to be able to take a sip without it becoming obstructed. Poured woefully short as well, topped with even more ice and seltzer. Had the tempura shrimp to start. Generous portion, well seasoned. Slightly rubbery but not detracting from the dish. Aioli was great, but could have used a little more. Chili sauce was also good, but could barely get any in the ramekin it was in. Bacon cheeseburger with mushroom for my main followed. Looking back, there was actually NO bacon on the burger. Not sure if the kitchen overlooked it, or what. $4 for added mushrooms seemed a bit exorbitant at first, but they were oyster mushrooms. Fries were crisp and wonderfully seasoned. Ordered the burger medium - came out medium and juicy.... But absolutely flavorless. If their head chef loved salt like their fry cook, this burger would have been spectacular. The mushrooms never got to drive off extra water because of the lack of salt, and the meat just fell flat without seasoning. I wanted to love this burger, but I just couldn't no matter how hard I tried. Had the crack pie, advertised to be similar to Monofuku Milk Bar... for someone who had crack pie multiple times before it became the phenomena it is now, this falls short, by a lot. The chess pie filling is far too dense, lacking caramelization. The pie crust was undercooked and anemic. Sugar decoration on top added zero value to the dessert, and coconut ice cream is far too competitive a flavor to put against this dessert. Sauces on the plate were weak and boring eye service. Paid my $80 bill, tipped (even though the bartender was rarely seen or asking how things were), and headed out. For a quiet weekday, the service and quality of food were severely underwhelming.

It's one of those places where you can immediately tell the owners care about both the food and the overall experience. The atmosphere is beautiful. The restaurant has a classy, Great Gatsby-inspired feel with elegant décor, plenty of space, and a spotless dining area. I loved the attention to detail, and the bar area is especially charming--it's the kind of place where you could easily stop in just for a glass of wine. We started with the hummus served with warm pita bread, and it was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken empanadas were another favorite--crispy, flavorful, and served with fresh pico de gallo that complemented them perfectly. I also enjoyed a glass of wine, and it paired beautifully with the meal. What impressed me the most was the hospitality. My daughter wanted fries, even though they weren't on the menu, and the chef was kind enough to prepare a fresh order just for her. That thoughtful gesture meant so much and really showed how much they care about their guests. The service was exceptional. The chef came out to greet us, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Before we left, they mentioned they have live music on certain nights, which gave us yet another reason to come back. This is truly one of Beacon's hidden gems. Between the delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service, and genuine hospitality, it's a place I'll happily recommend. We already know we'll be back!

We started coming to Fleming's early into the summer and our first thought was, "Why did it take so…read morelong to come here?!" We don't typically go to chain restaurants, so weren't sure what to expect, but are SO glad we didn't let snobby preconceived notions get in the way of what's become a regular Saturday spot. First, the space is gorgeous - so many windows so it's incredibly bright with a separate bar and dining area. We are bar people, so gravitate towards the huge bar - and a plus of Fleming's is that all of the area around the bar (tables/high tops) plus the huge outdoor space gets bar service and access to the bar menu/happy hour. Okay - the happy hour!!! It's EVERY day from 3-6:30 PM with some of the best deals I've ever seen. They have select $9 specialty cocktails (a tequila based one, take on an old fashioned, variation of a G&T, and a dirty martini), $9 glasses of wine, and deals on small bites. The menu is also constantly rotating by the season with some mainstays and things that have changed out. Regardless, it is an absolute deal. A great happy hour and small plates is obviously a huge draw, but what keeps us coming back to Fleming's is the people. From the moment you arrive, there's someone to open the door for you and greet you at the front without fail. The bartenders are incredible - friendly, attentive, great at making drinks for what becomes a PACKED bar, conversational. We genuinely love sitting at the bar and chatting with the team (sometimes for too long, sorry guys!). All in all, Fleming's will continue to be a regular spot, not just for the value of the social hour (and just all around great food and drinks when you step outside of that more limited menu), but mainly for the incredible staff and the feeling of appreciation you get as a guest at Fleming's.

So we've been here several times before but I think the visit last night will be our last time…read more Staff were friendly and attentive but the food/ value is just completely off. Went with my wife and she had a cocktail ( I drank water). She is not a big drinker and she gets tipsy after 1/2 glass of wine but she didn't feel anything after this cocktail. She didn't think there was actually any alcohol in the drink. We then split a chopped salad and when they brought it to the table we were in disbelief. It was so tiny there were only a few chunks of lettuce. Tasted great but it was literally a child's portion. For our main course she had the filet with lobster tail and I had a petite filet. We both ordered medium rare. The lobster was awful. So heavily spiced that it was hard to eat. The steaks were both significantly over cooked. They came out close to well done. The side dish of Mac and cheese was completely dry, very little of any sauce. We skipped desert. So for 1 drink, one salad, one side dish and 2 entrees our bill with tip was $300. Walking out I just felt like we had been ripped off. The service was fine, the food wasn't. We won't be back.
