This place was indeed a let down. First we go to sit in the backyard and I am given a broken chair to sit on (a really obviously broken one) so I had to switch it out myself. Next the waitress took a long time to take our order. Finally we said we were ready and she takes off again... Only when we were about to walk out did she come over. Then there was the food.... All I can say is YUCK the hibachi chicken tasted and looked store bought and frozen... The person I was with ordered chicken too but hers was more tender and tasted fresh. I asked the waitress if the hibachi chicken was fresh she seemed to be unsure. I didnt finish it. The rice tasted old as well. I was also disappointed by the sushi. Sapporo Ichiban is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn right now. I made sure to go there at least once every time I visited New York and now I live here. This is one of the first places I'm going to once quarantine is over. The sushi has this distinct freshness that keeps me coming back. The staff is all very friendly and they do a great job of making sure the table is taken care of. The sushi boat is a must if you're with a few friends, it gives a great representation of the varieties of fish they can prepare well. Personally I load up on salmon and tuna every time I go. Love the lunch special. Excellent deal. I have ordered many times, many different options, and all were excellent. Regular prices seem high but lunch special is 7 days a week and includes many choices you don't expect to see on special. Portions are generous. Quality high. Especially recommend Donburi or Nabe Yaki Soba for comfort food or for cold rainy day. Wish they still had Oyako Donburi -they only have the fried Katsu style on menu now. Came here on a weekday night because I was craving sushi and it was close to the G train! It was fairly empty and got seated right away. My friend and I shared a sashimi pizza. It was very tasty! It came with 4 pieces of a heaping pile of sashimi on a thin delicate cracker-like thing. The flavor was great, and could have eaten a whole myself as my dinner. We then split a combo roll platter. It was such a great deal for $15! It basically came with 3 rolls (8 pieces each). It was a lot of sushi and between the 2 of us, we were unable to finish it all. For $40 (including a generous tip) we got more than enough food for 3 people. The appetizer portion of tempera was extremely generous, way more than I was expecting for the price. The crunchy spicy tuna roll was awesome (definitely something I would order again), but I was disappointed with the freshness of the salmon roll that I didn't eat more than 2 pieces. My boyfriend seemed satisfied with the quality (and quantity) of his sashimi regular, but he's not as picky as I am when it comes to fish. I didn't have a problem with the delivery time, but I set it up on delivery.com. The next available time was an hour from when placed the order, but I was planning on having it delivered in an hour anyway, so it didn't matter. The food ended up coming 15 minutes early. I suggest you place your order early because they cover a large delivery area and they probably have a lot of deliveries, especially on a rainy night like tonight. I've had better quality sushi from cheaper places, but not in Williamsburg. I may keep looking for a place I would give 4.5-5 stars, but for now I'll stick with Sapporo Haru's awesome spicy crunchy tuna rolls. read more

This is my favorite sushi delivery option in Greenpoint. They have my phone number and address stored, so I can just call, give them the order and know that I'll be eating fresh, delicious sushi in about 40 minutes. I'm not a big fan of California Rolls, but I am a big fan of anything for free, so like others have mentioned - and it bears repeating - you get a free one with any order over $30. It supplements the sushi combo my BF and I usually get quite nicely. I've had a lot of their different specialty rolls and the only rolls I'm not too impressed by are those that contain eel. For some reason those just don't do it for me, and I love eel. They make a great spicy tuna roll and have great lunch combos between $5-7 bucks. Can't beat that! read more

The location is in a beautiful part of Greenpoint where parking is never hard to find and the train takes you right to the corner of the restaurant. For $30.70, I got: Yasai Gyoza 2 Miso Soups 1 Inari Roll 1 Veggie Roll 1 Alaska Roll 1 Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll (highly recommended!) 1 Yellowtail Scallion Roll and a California Roll Now that is ridiculous and fed (overfed, maybe) my whole apartment. $30! Their new thing is a free California Roll when you spend $30, so that's lovely. Also, everything is fresh -- including the ginger. You can always tell a sushi place by their pickled ginger. Four stars, however, because of the one younger waitress that looks and acts angry every time you ask her for anything basic (water, a napkin, etc.) The crazy old lady is great, however, and if she were the only waitress S.H. would get 5 stars indeed. read more

Its not good sushi by any means, but I am japanese so I will be harsh. Anyhow, it can be a pretty cheap sushi fix, since good Japanese doesn't ever come cheaply. You can tell that the food isn't going to be good from the coloured lighting and the bad rnb music. The staff hate life, but they don't hate you, fast food, attentive service so 3 stars instead of 2. I have a secret liking for deep fried ice cream - but it really wasn't good here, and I felt a bit strange after eating it. Teriyaki chicken is not good but does the job.... . They're running the best promotion ever right now: unlimited, free hot sake with dine-in. So that's what brought me and my group in. But they're sushi is really great, too! It's very fresh and put together well and the price is very fair (cheap, even). I've been twice and have had the same waitress who is a little...terse. She also ignored us both times after our food came out and I'm not sure if it's because she would expect us to flag her down (as we eventually did) or if she didn't want to give us more refills on sake (with four people we got 3 refills - let me explain, you get one large sake bottle for the table so that was less than one bottle a person). And we didn't want to seem greedy but also it's not like we were drunk and obnoxious. WHO KNOWS! I don't care too much, I'll keep going there even after they stop offering free sake =) side notes: curry was nothing to write home about. i still don't like nato but appreciate that it's on their menu. good & cheap veggie rolls generous sushi & sashimi for one (fresh n' tasty) read more
