Good service cannot be overrated! We got the AYCE sushi which isn't exactly cheap post-Covid, but there were a LOT of rolls to choose from. My favorites were the Hummingbird roll and the Macho Eel. Their customer service is disgusting to say the least. I have been coming to this place since it opened a few years ago. I never had an issue until last night. The service was horrendous! As soon as we were seated they told me my 1.5 year could not share our food. I said that's fine, my child doesn't eat sushi anyway. We were a group of 4 adults and my child. Once we placed our order, the server asked if I was going to purchase a kids meal for my child. Again I said, "no, she doesn't eat anything on this menu". After a few minutes they brought back the order form with RED pen marks circling their policy and underlined specific words in their policy such as "don't share food" and "any left overs will be charged". I was horrified but honestly, I didn't know if I should laugh at the pettiness or be angry with their passive aggressive attitude. Once our food arrived, I pulled out my baby's milk cup and her little box of snacks. The server immediately walked over and said the manager sent her over to tell us that outside food is not allowed but since our food had already been served then they were going to allow us to stay. This was the last straw. It was so upsetting that we couldn't even enjoy our food. First of all, if this is such a big issue why won't the manager come tell us herself. It's disturbing to know that we were being watched so closely that it took literally one minute after taking out my child's snacks for them to send someone over. I've taken my child to many restaurants where I have her snacks and milk out and it has never been an issue anywhere else. What is their obsession with a 1 and a half year old? I dont understand the pettiness of that manager. Will never come back to this place and I will definitely tell everyone I know to avoid this place. read more

It's pretty good sushi. Nothing extremely special, just pretty good. Satisfies the sushi craving. They have all u can eat and by the roll. Along with other non-sushi options for those who don't care for raw fish. They do have a pretty big menu so definitely lots of choices. my Family and I went in one a Sunday, it gets very busy so I highly encourage that someone arrives a little early to get ur name down especially if you're in a large group. They do not take reservations it's walking only. So expect to have a little bit of a wait. So like I said before the sushi is pretty good, it isn't the best that I've had but it wasn't terrible. The reason I'm giving this place three stars and not five is because of their service. Our waitress was bad, super slow and couldn't understand what I was saying. I gave her my order and she never put it in! She was more eager to get all the all u can eat orders (which are $40 by the way) instead of by the roll. She took forever to do anything, would pass by us w/out taking a glance to see if we were missing anything or needed anything else. If it hadn't been for the owner to come by and ask if we were OK I probably wouldn't have had my food at all. He came by and apologized and kindly offered us a bowl of eddemame on the house. There was another lady, which I think she was "bus boy" and she was super amazing and helping us get the things that we needed. I wish I would've gotten her name, all I remember is she was the only Hispanic lady working there that we saw. She was the best! We came here thinking it was just a regular sushi spot. Walked in and to our pleasant surprise, they offer AYCE!!! *cue the choir of angels singing hallelujah* Yasssssssss! Their nigiri is melt in your mouth! You get one Toro per person and it was so buttery! Omg. I was doing my happy dance! We tried a few of their rolls. My usual favorite, Cali roll with baked salmon on top, wasn't so great here but the Steelers roll was good! I think I would just be here for the nigiri anyway. It's that good! So happy there is an AYCE spot so close to home. I'll be trying the luxury option next time cuz I wanna try the giant clam. The servers were super friendly and upbeat. We did have to flag them down a bit but It's brand new so it's expected. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks. So 5 stars for the nigiri minus 1 star for the blah Fuji roll and flagging down servers. Seriously, guys. This place is the sushit!!! We walked in and were kinda taken aback by how loud and pretty 'ehh' the restaurant was... But, the greeter was ahhhmazing and made us feel so welcomed right away. We sat at the 'bar' and just had the best experience seeing the hard work and art that was put into each dish. We ordered some Kirin and it came nice and cold with some frosted glass mugs. We did all you can eat and went OFF. The food came quick and fresh and it was amazing. We ordered the hottest thing you can get there, "Out Of Control" and it was just that. Habanero was legit. Food was amazing. Service was amazing. The greeter guy (wish I had gotten his name) was everything you would ask for and more. Great attitudes and sense of humor here. Our chef even made an amazing fruit bear for us. We've been here maybe 4 times and there's always something with this place. Its around the corner from my house otherwise I'd prefer to go elsewhere. We have been to a lot of different all you can eat sushi places and this place packs the sashimi with rice. Ita not even an exaggeration. I asked the waitress if would get half the amount of rice and I was told that with all you can eat they give more rice than when you don't do all you can eat. So basically with all you can eat they stuff you with rice so you can order less. Again I'm not exaggerating the amount of rice. Will likely go elsewhere when craving sushi. read more

I did a pick-up order and the girl on the phone was quick to hang up, the order was going to be done quick which was great. However, i showed up and it did appear to be busy but there were 4 people behind the sushi bar and 4-5 waitresses working the floor so they were adequately staffed. I stood there for 5 minutes being patient but trying to make eye contact with someone to let them know i needed help. 5 minutes went by with no acknowledgement, not a I'll be right with you, so sorry it's busy give us a second nothing. Guess service is not important to you. I will not be choosing this sushi restaurant going forward. There are so many more to choose from. This is how you lose business, do better. read more

This is the BEST all you can eat sushi in Menifee. The sushi is so fresh and the staff is extremely friendly. The patio area is very nice and they have plenty of heaters to keep you warm. The all you can eat sushi menu is huge. Almost all of their rolls are on the all you can eat. They also have a ton of appetizers on there. My favorite roll is the Steelers Roll, it has a thin slice of lemon and is so refreshing. I'll be back again and again and again. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! read more

Went for lunch for our anniversary and was very surprised to see all you can eat sushi lunch for $21.95. I have to say I have gone to other all you can eat sushi places and the rolls were just passable. Too much rice and not enough filling and toppings. Sapporo lived up to my quality expectations! The rolls were beautiful, and rolls you would get paying at least $16 per roll. I believe there were 9 rolls ordered by 2 people for the all you can eat lunch. Great, high quality deal. Service was pleasantly accommodating, attentive and caring. Maguro sashimi was fresh, cold and delicious but one critique I have is that there aren't enough pieces or weight included to account for the price point. Also ordered edamame and the portion for price point was great on the beans. Tako salad was good but a bit too sweet for my taste. I prefer less sugar and more tang. Still, it was cooked well with perfect spice and I enjoyed it. Only one real critique is that the miso soup was too watery with little miso and not enough seaweed and tofu. It was very bland, almost like dishwater, with no detectable umami or flavor and not very enjoyable or palatable. We will definitely be back. Even with the unacceptable miso soup I have still given 4 stars because everything else was so good. Sapporo, Please improve the miso soup. I've had MUCH better. read more

On Saturday (12/17) we had a little family gathering at the house and made a purchase of $120 - usually we are pleased with the food at Sapporo. Unfortunately, this time the food was not to the normal standard, many felt some of the food was under cooked and the chicken was dry. One of our family members became very sick with signs of food poisoning, and others felt nauseous Saturday evening/Sunday morning. When the family member who was very sick called the restaurant Sunday to inform them of her illness, the person who answered seemed to dismiss her claim saying that some people have reactions to seafood - however, she had eaten sushi numerous times in the past without any reaction. We literally were sat down the minute we walked in and then forgotten about. The waitress then proceeded to sit down 5 more couples and brought their drinks and took their orders. After seeing everyone being seated & having their drinks and food delivered to them, we were finally asked about our drinks. To be honest we shouldn't of paid for a tea and beer but out of courtesy we did. We were literally at this establishment for almost 30 mins and decided to leave. The food is delicious but the service ... THE WORST. I seriously will not be back. If I could give this place a zero star I really would. I was very excited because I had found a GREAT sushi place in town. Here in Menifee are not many good eateries but this Sapporo Sushi place became our favorite until Friday night. I ordered online and waited 45 minutes to pick up my order and after a long, chaotic and busy day we were starving. So, I picked my order and when we got home, we were ready for diner and to watch a movie. We opened our food and noticed that we got the WRONG items, I called the sushi place and the person who answered my call said..Sorry about that, we will make it better next time and she hag up. Food is delicious we were so addicted but the lady who usually sits us, short black hair is usually pretty rude it's like she hates when we come in, last two visits have been awful, last time took my family to eat and payed about $30 tip, it was 4 of us adults eating with a newborn it was added to our bill which was around $100, the time before that the waiter accidentally spilled soy sauce on my husbands white shirt (unable to remove) and we understand things happen but no discount no nothing, he offered him food (while he was already eating ‍ ) I think they need to put a little more effort into keeping their faithful clients. I asked for fresh wasabi because sometimes of late the wasabi is less than ideal. Anyway, I had no idea that there is a real fresh version of the wasabi and it is great. So they failed their most recent health department inspection in October 2022, in addition to their inspection in June 2022, so the Health Department gave them a "B" rating! They had to meet with the health department for an administrative hearing to give them training and a warning of probation if they fail another inspection within a year. They had another inspection after the hearing and earned their "A" back, but it remains to be seen if they'll keep that grade within the next year. Until then, eat at your own risk! read more

Love there lunch special where you can get 3 different t types of rolls with a salad. I prefer to have variety but usually get full off one roll if eating alone. This is a great way to have multiple rolls that come in smaller portions and lots of options to choose from on that are available for the special.
