We went with an outdoor table on the nice evening. Our younger male server was friendly and helped us decide which coffee drinks to choose. We went with a large cappuccino and double espresso macchiato. They came out in about 15 minutes and were absolutely delicious. My cappuccino had such an excellent taste, it was one of the best I ever had. After our coffees, we waited for our server to come and tell him we wanted the check, but after 30 minutes, there was no sign of him. Had a salad with salmon for lunch. I waited almost 40 minutes for the salad. The staff apologized for the wait which I appreciated however the dressing was terrible, very bland. The lettuce tasted like bagged greens which were not great. The salmon was good. I was also charged $4.10 for 2 slices of bread which I asked for. The waitress could have mentioned she was charging me for the bread, which was toasted and I did not ask for toasted bread. All in all not a great experience. I used to really like this place. Loved this small cafe. The food was very tasty and fresh with a great selection of options for breakfast. Service was quick and cordial even with a full house. We are very familiar with Saquella and its history; we've not been here in a year due to the previous reviews; but now with the new owners and management we can say 'it's back'! The service is impeccable and friendly and the menu that we've always loved, continues. We were not able to test the drip coffee for improvements, but we will return for coffee and breakfast, soon. The chicken salad on muesli and the turkey on multi grain were both excellent with a delicious salad and dressing. We look forward to our next visit. read more

Dog friendly outdoor area is covered and has ceiling fans. The food was very good- I had the bruschetta omlrlette and my bf enjoyed the Benedict. The ingredients were fresh and service was pretty fast. They offer bottomless mimosas and good coffee. I must've misunderstood the drink I ordered as I wanted a bailey's coffee drink made with almond milk (like a latte, and i attempted to ensure this was what i was ordering by conv with the waitress ) but I got a shot of espresso instead, with a side of bailey's . Lucked up on this fabulous breakfast spot and it was amazing! They opened later than normal and lucky for us we happened to arrive at that time. They seated us immediately and took our drink orders. We both ordered a nutty flavored coffee cocktail and was disappointed when it came out cold. Because we were already soaked we assumed it would be a hot drink and it wasn't. The drink was ok, the cinnamon definitely added to the flavor which was lacking in the drink as a whole. We both did order another coffee cocktail after that and those had ZERO flavor. I had a sweet and salty and the drink literally tasted of blended black coffee with alcohol. No flavor whatsoever. Mi Amor ordered what he thought was a traditional Irish coffee, but turns out theirs is with a twist (make sure you read the descriptions closely)......it was gross. My advice skip the coffee cocktails and get the mimosas. I will also say the bartender had some interesting habits of grossness. I caught him multiple times licking his fingers and considering all we've been through these past years......he needs to stop. Now on to the good part the food!!!!!! Worth every penny!!! It was so flavorful and all the bread items are baked in house. I had a caprese omelette which was then put on toasted wheat bread with pesto and it was phenomenal! The bread was toasted to perfection, it had just right amount of tomatoes with melted mozzarella and you could taste the Asiago in the omelette. Hands down one of the best flavor parties in my mouth. Mi amor had the open nova smoked salmon bagel which he demolished. He even admitted it was one of the better ones he had. If you're in Boca Ratón area this is a must go to! I will say this that Saquella is and always will be a staple.... From back in 2011 when I was a resident of Royal Palm Place... I would DEVOUR their most famous Saquella cookie to going on a 'first date' years later and falling in love with their goat cheese panini thing to now years and years later... stopping in to get my Dad and I coffee, before our whole day excursion... What the issue was- that I am quite surprised with- they don't have stoppers to hold your coffee inside... and?! I had to go back inside - after I dropped off the coffees, my jacket, my water bottle, and recently purchased vegan halva stuffed dates... Jessica, who by the way is BRAND NEW.... went above and beyond and found me tape....so, that the coffee didn't get everywhere... also, I was surprised that there were no jackets to put on our togo coffee cups... however?! thankfully?!! The coffee wasn't burned to make the coffee hot to even require one. ;) The service is mixed.. Jessica truly shined and her customer service skills are bar none... Our server Amy not only guided us on our first visit to this establishment and its menu but also thoroughly explained and described each dish where my mouth completely watered each time. I have been a regular at saquella since I moved from NY to Florida about ten years ago. Recently, new owners took over and it really went down hill. The new owner was anything but a gentleman calling my mother names and cursing in front of children. He spoke down to his employees and verbally abused not only them but customers as well. We went on Father's Day, 8 people. We called ahead and the woman said their could be a 10-15 min wait max. We arrived at 1:35 and were told 15-20 min for our table. At 2:25 I politely asked how much longer and they said "absolutely no more than 10 min max! Knowing the kitchen closes at 3:00 I asked "are you sure we have time?" They assured us we were ok and we'd have a table. At 2:40 we left and found another restaurant. Still waiting for the phone call that our table is ready..... The food was great, service was never great but you kinda got used to it and it was so low priced, too low that I was always surprised how they stayed afloat. So, today we went and prices doubled, ok, the egg meat and cheese on a croissant that I always ordered shrunk significantly, the quality of the sandwich was lowered, the breakfast potatoes lacked of flavor, it's like they changed the kitchen staff. The place was empty at 11AM which is unusual. Very disappointing experience. We paid $46 for 2 breakfast sandwiches with potatoes or salad and one coffee. Everyone was very nice and helpful as well. The barista man was really nice and helped show me to wear the lids were for my to-go drinks. I got a iced dirty chai with almond milk, a chai tea with almond, and a double espresso. I also grabbed a chocolate croissant for my niece! I also noticed they offered a gluten free almond cake for anyone that is gf. The chais were very good! A lot of the time they can lack in spice, but not these ones! Their chai lattes are a great blend of spicy, milky, sweetness and the espresso wasn't bitter. My brother said his double espresso was not bad. And my niece loved the croissant! This is one of the best bruch or lunch dining experiences in Boca. The food is exceptionally good and the ambiance is second to none. You can dine indoors or outside on the veranda which I recommend. The veranda is covered - the background music is relaxing and perfectly audible and the landscaping and many birds make you feel like you are in a garden even though you abut a parking lot. The coffee and baked goods are extraordinary. The lemon blueberry scone is a must but beware because they sell out. The pesto omelet and tuna salad were beyond my expectations.
