I am sitting here with my girlfriend having breakfast. The gentleman at the table next to us simply asked the server what the charges were. The manager came out and aggressively approached the gentleman and started accusing him of something that was not a match to him or his question. Waitress was friendly, but service was extremely slow. I had the Waldorf salad sandwich. Sandwich was good, with muesli bread. Green salad was tasteless, even with raspberry vingrette. BF had 2 eggs , with sausage which he described as meh. Fresh fruit was good. Bread basket was just so-so. Cappuccino mediocre, regular coffee was lukewarm. On the upside the venue is elegant. I have been to Saquella Cafe on several occasions and have always enjoyed myself. My wife and I went again tonight for dinner. I ordered the Chicken Rockefeller which was incredible. We eat at this restaurant many times a month. The food is always consistently good. The service however lacks, consistently. With that said, we always go back as too many things are so amazing, that we go knowing it is slow service. Seems we can deal with it knowing it before we go(lol). We are frequent goers to another broken egg cafe right around the corner so today we figured we would try something new! We were told to sit wherever outside and that a server would come up to us. 15 mins went by and we still had no service. We then asked a server if we could have 2 menus and waters and his response was a curt "sure." He then brought over 2 waters, and no menus... one glass of which was dirty. Safe to say I will not be returning here as much as I did want to try it. Poor service. read more

If I could have given this place 0 stars I would. I went today to grab lunch with my friends. Upon entrance, no one even came to greet my friends and I. So we walked up to the hostess stand ourselves and tried to get a seat inside. There were two small tables that we asked if we could have pushed together to make room for us and the hostess acted like we weren't even there trying to speak to her, considering she never actually made eye contact with us the entire time. We asked to put the tables together and she just says "yeah" and we said "oh, like we can sit there? it's fine?" she said "ya sure i don't care". For a lack of a better word, acted like a complete bitch towards us. So after we pushed the two tables together ourselves, another worker came up and informed us that we could not do that. They did not accommodate us in any way, resulting in us leaving. This is upsetting considering the time I had came here before with one of my friends it was a good experience. However, the blonde hostess that worked today on October 5th around noon completely ruined the experience for my friends and I. We all walked out shocked at the way we were just treated. read more

My husband and I have met my brother-in-law and his wife for brunch at Saquella at least twice a month for the past several years. We do not get bored because Saquella offers a very large menu for breakfast, brunch and lunch and it changes it. I have never eaten dinner at the restaurant. How can you not like a restaurant that has a covered outdoor patio as well as an air-conditioned inside dining area. I must say that service is excellent. My water glass was refilled, I was asked if I wanted more coffee and if I needed anything. I would rate Saquella Cafe 5 stars for food ambiance and service. Also I find their prices relatively inexpensive. For instance a bacon, cheddar and egg sandwich on a croissant is only $5.99 and a waffle is only $7.99 and if you add blueberries, the uncharge is only $1. The coffee is always hot and fresh. As one of the other reviews say, any item on the menu can be changed. Contrary to what the other review says is that I noticed the menu does show the uncharge cost of certain categories such as cheeses, meats etc. I agree with the other reviewer that perhaps the waiter or waitress should have mentioned the uncharge, but the cost was 70 cents and that is a small amount of money. read more

I had a scone and a 7 payer cake. Both were too sweet, too sugary and full of butter. The 7 layer cake totally fell apart to crumbles The cost was $3.25 and $2.75. The bottom line - it was awful. I would not recommend and would not try anything else there. read more

We were told to seat ourselves for brunch. And from the time we sat down the experience was underwhelming. After at least 5 minutes of waiting, someone brought menus to the table. Both menus had food reside and coffee stains on them. Once we ordered, it took approximately 45 minutes for eggs to be served. One order was wrong, and had to be sent back which we were told would be "rushed". Upon leaving, the restroom was filthy. We will not be back. read more

We had amazing experience at Saquella!! Food was amazing! My sister had mentioned how amazing the dining experience. She was so right. Everyone loved their dish. What also made it so great w as s the service we received. We had Alec as our waiter. If you like to have an attentive waiter, he is the one you want. If you want a boring waiter, he isn't however. If in Boca, you must come here! As a barista, this is one of the best cafe's I have ever been to. The service is outstanding, as well as the food and drink. I got the brie omelette sandwich and a cappuccino - which were so fantastic and I highly recommend them. For starters, the barista actually knew what a dry (foamy) cappuccino was! It's incredible that this even has to be in the review, but so few baristas know this. Secondly, the food is top notch, really out of this world. They have savory, they have sweet, they have salty, and sometimes it is all combined into one (as with the brie sandwich). Lastly, the servers are extraordinary. I love the food at Saquella, have always had great service, and until today, would have given five stars. However, we stood at the host stand behind another group who was talking with who I believe is the owner. The owner looked at us multiple times, but was too busy talking to a woman about getting kisses on the cheek to take our name or even acknowledge us. The service is terrible. First, you wait to be noticed. Then you wait ten minutes for the coffee you ordered. After asking about it. Then your food comes with dry toast. No butter. No jelly (even though that's what the order was: "toast with butter and jelly" Ask two different servers to bring it. More long wait. Butter finally arrives after meal complete. No jelly. Something is wrong with their systems if all the servers seem to suck and there is so much staff running around. Bad management is my guess. read more

I am a regular. Come in twice a week at least. The last few months I have been less than satisfied with one employee in particular. The food is great as always (love you chef!) but there is one girl who is, for lack of a better word, AWFUL. She's been around a few months now and I'm unsure of the name but her position seems to be a food runner (not sure if correct term) or a table busser. As one example I requested ketchup from her. First she brought mayonnaise. I asked again for ketchup. Then she brought hot sauce. Finally I asked another young man who brought ketchup right away. On two other occasions she brought us the wrong tables food. The second time she did that she had the audacity to mutter "b**ch" under her breath. I was appalled. I'd hate to stop going to such a lovely restaurant because of one bad apple but she is truly a terrible employee and as a customer it makes me upset with her service, if you could call it that. I hope that the proper action is done. I'm close to requesting her schedule so I know what mornings NOT to come in. I've spoken to one manager about her, Brad. We were so happy when Saquella reopened! Their menu is creative and different and whatever we get is always prepared to perfection. My husband absolutely loves going for dinner. Sometimes we go for just dessert and coffee. They also offer the Stash tea collection. The service was very good, so sad there weren't many people there, but September is the slowest month in South Florida. They tend to have a larger breakfast / lunch crowd. Great location. At Christmas time, Royal Palm Place -- an upscale shopping and restaurant lifestyle center -- dresses up with pretty blue lights and festive decorations. A night stroll to window shop is a must-see experience. Sequella Cafe is the perfect place to bring family, friends, a date, your dog, business associates for breakfast or lunch, or to relax by yourself with the newspaper in a lovely Floridian landscaped surrounding. There is shaded and covered seating outdoors. Unfortunately, good service waxes and wanes throughout the year. As one result, the coffee can taste either great or watered down. I've eaten most of what they have to offer. The only thing I don't like are the waffles, undercooked and mealy. Here's where Saquella shines: their breads (especially the multi-grain), pastries, cakes, tarts (the plum tart is delicious!) pies, cookies -- heck, all their baked goods are outstanding! You can advance order most of their single-serving baked goods in bigger sizes. For example, their Chocolate Mousse Cake makes a spectacular birthday cake. Understaffed and oblivious as to how to wait on human beings. I'm a single woman sitting at a table and the female manager, tall with bob length brown hair, came over to clear the table. I said, "Hi how are you?" She did not respond in any way as if I'm invisible. I said, "Do you speak English?" She replied yes. I said, "Is there a problem?" She said, "No why?" I said, "Because I said hello to you and you didn't respond." She said, "Oh I didn't hear you.' Even if she didn't, who seats and greets new guests without speaking to them? How are you clearing my table and not acknowledging my existence? When I ran a restaurant, I treated the guests the same as if they were coming into my living room. Finally a waiter came by with a glass of water. Why don't you save a step and bring a menu too? You have two hands. Use them. Guess what..I came here to eat and drink. Sell me some stuff. Then he finally came with a menu after my guest arrived. I ordered the Mahi sandwich with roasted sweet potato on the side which was my choice of three options. The portion of fish was half the size of the bun. The roasted sweet potato was two SLICES of a sweet potato. Can I have an ENTIRE sweet potato? Can you put some seasoning or sweetness on it? It was a totally plain sweet potato. Can you put some food on my plate besides a bun? I was starving after eating my lunch which was $14. I ordered a side of cole slaw. It was delicious.
