Staying at the Wilderness with friends and we wanted a pizza night. Called in our order. The food arrived quickly (30 minutes), was hot and tasted fresh. We had the caprese salad, Italian chop salad, veggie thin crust pizza, tiramisu, and cannoli. I really liked everything except my tiramisu. It was gritty. I can't speak to the ambiance since we did delivery, but I would definitely return in the future to try other entrees! I also really appreciated the free breadsticks they included along with paper plates/napkins/forks.

Located around the corner from the main wilderness resort, this is a convenient location. They actually have a shuttle from the Wilderness but it was only a 3 min walk from the resort. The ambience is nice, beautiful murals on the walls and easy listening Italian music playing. The menu is pretty big and there are lots of options. The entrees come with a side salad, which is nice, although the ranch dressing was a bit off; it was very thick and tasted like mayonnaise. I ordered the short rib pappardelle; the flavor was good and the short rib was tender. However this wasn't pappardelle, more like lasagna noodles, although they did taste homemade. I also didn't like that the short rib had tons of frizzle on it and glob of ricotta was not necessary.

Kids Spaghetti & Meatball

My family enjoys eating here. It's very much like an independent Olive Garden and it's not the cheapest nor the most expensive place in the Dells, But the pizza is good -- the toppings are fresh and plentiful. It was Friday my wife enjoyed the fish fry and the option of a baked potato. My youngest did not enjoy her spaghetti and meatball, but she's a very picky eater. The broccolini was not to my eldest liking, but she was expecting roasted broccoli, and this was not bad, but not what she was expecting. Avoid the tiramisu it's not great. Instead get the Italian cream cake -- holy cow that was amazing. Service is how to put this good depending on the night you're there. It's all I'm guessing Brazilians flown in like most of the Dells these days who will give you an English name that clearly it's not their actual name but it's the Dells what are you gonna do ? We didn't try any drinks. Water was fine for us and our waters were always full. The breadsticks were good and refilled on demand. Ambience is Italian restaurant with kind of cheesy paintings on the walls of Italian vistas and courtyards and all that. it's definitely a nicer sit down style restaurant but because it's the Dells, there are people in sweatpants in the winter and barely covered up swimsuits when it's summer. Our party of 5 had a nice dinner for about $100 plus tip -- including two desserts.

Looking for tasty Italian food in the Wisconsin Dells area?? Look no further than Sarento's! This Italian restaurant serves spectacular plates with fresh ingredients and homemade noodles. To start the meal, the table is served warm breadsticks with olive oil, Parmesan, and cracked pepper. We ordered a variety of items. Table highlights include: the roasted chicken entree with potatoes & broccolini, the pasta bolognese, and the homemade stacked lasagna. Other entrees ordered include a chicken Alfredo dish, pasta with meatballs, and a pasta with vodka sauce. Each entree started with a fresh side salad as well. The entire meal was delicious and the service was great. Sarento's is an ideal spot for a date night or nice meal with family/friends. I'd highly recommend visiting Sarento's in the Wisconsin Dells!

My Alfredo with papardelle

I'm surprised by the lower reviews of Sarento's and glad I still went anyway! Last weekend, my husband and I decided to give it a go! The warm breadsticks with Parmesan and olive oil to dip were delicious! I loved that they had a generous portion of freshly grated Parmesan at the table as well. We each opted to upgrade to a different salad. My husband's Caesar was good and had lots of parm and a crunchy Parmesan chip. My caprese when burrata was incredible! Next, my husband tried the bolognese with pappardelle. He loved it. I opted to go with Alfredo but they happily allowed me to get pappardelle too. It was so good! My husband said it may have even been better than his! Finally, for dinner, we split a tiramisu. I'm not usually a fan but it was light and flavorful and we agreed we should have brought one to go! Service was good and it had nice Italian ambiance! Can't wait to visit again! Tip: there was a coupon for 10% off in one of those booklets at our hotel lobby so that was a nice little saving!

Let me start this off by saying I brought my 2 year old on a Wednesday night during the slow season. The atmosphere was nice and we sat by a fire place. We had no reservation and we got a table in a few minutes, around 7. Our food was excellent. My kids' pizza was great, she ate so much of it which is unlike her. My braised beef papardelle was amazing paired with a nice red. The prices were great, although I am used to Chicago a suburb pricing. Our server was patient and very accommodating to my toddler, and she had great recommendations. All in all this was an amazing experience and I highly recommend coming here. Whoever said this is like an Olive Garden wasn't entirely accurate.

First visit, it was nice. Enjoyed a Brandy Old Fashioned at the bar along with Garlic Cheese Bread and a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. All the servers at the bar were courteous and attentive. Enjoyed our 1st visit to Sarento's

The restaurant was decorated nicely. Gave me an "Olive Garden" feel. They had breadsticks, Parmesan cheese, and oil which was okay. The meatball appetizer was honestly the best dish. The lasagna was good and a decent size, but the short rib pappardelle honestly was not worth the price. I've had better for cheaper. All the servers were nice and polite. Overall it was okay.

Ate here on NYE 2025 looking for that authentic Wisconsin "supper club" feel. I've been to a dozen…read more"supper clubs", and I'm still not sure what is supposed to differentiate it from a restaurant. That's all it is. A restaurant. You order your food, they bring it to you, you eat it, you leave. Which is fine. But the mystique in the name escapes me. On that note, at this allegedly renown "supper club" which we made reservations for because it was NYE, the disappointment began with walking in the door. There was a line out the door to approach the host stand, with no guidance as to whether everyone in line had a reservation and was checking in or whether they were just trying to get a table. The two 60+ year old women working it were clearly exasperated, flustered, and had zero efficiency or command of the situation. It was like it was their first night working there, although I doubt this to be the case. At one point the loud-mouthed single mom with her entourage of single-mom daughters announced loudly that she was "going to get sh!t done, because that's what I do!" Well despite the fact that she was a classless pig, it worked. All she had to do was bark at the hostess and she was whisked away to a table. Finally I was able to check in, at this point THEY (not me) were over 20 minutes past my reservation time. They said they'd seat me shortly. Another 15 minutes passed before we were seated. In the meantime, they had an old (80+ years old) crooner walking the lounge singing with his wireless mic accompanied by a man playing keyboard. He was a sweet old man, and he needs to retire. For good. If he needs the money, I understand. But his voice was about as good as his eyesight. Embers should not have scheduled him as the "entertainment". There is no ATM in Embers, and although I always carry cash I had used the last $20 in my wallet prior to our arrival. I walked to the other "supper club" across the street (Del Bar), used their ATM to get cash, and returned to tip the god-awful but well-intended singer and his musician - but they were packing up. It was 3 hours before midnight. Pretty early to stop the music. I then reminded the hostess that I was still alive, and she led us to a "booth" in the "lounge". This bar is the stuff of 1950's Vegas, and hasn't been cleaned or painted since then. The "booth" they sat the 3 of us in was like an RV dining booth - barely big enough for my average male build on one side, and not fitting my adult wife and daughter (both petite) on the other. There was a cocktail tray sitting on the top of the backrest, which the hostess apparently wasn't going to remove. Additionally, we were now almost in the playing area of the musician - who was packing up. So we are supposed to sit here while he winds his wires 3 feet from us and lugs out keyboards, stands, etc. The hostess fled before I had made up my mind that this was unacceptable - which was clear, but my family was starving and I was considering walking the fine line of "at least we'll eat now." Turns out, I didn't. I was so enraged that they sat us in an RV booth while the band disassembled that I went to the host stand and told her we'd wait for a table not in steerage class. Despite probably having a young grandparent on the Titanic she didn't understand the reference. I spelled it out more clearly when a drunk middle aged male interrupted and demanded to know why there was a 20% gratuity added to his bill, and she pointed to the fine print on the NYE "special" menu that spelled it out. Then he wanted to argue about why they calculate the tip after tax, and she explained that's Wisconsin law. Finally I told him to wait until I'm done before he does his taxes at the host stand, and he shut up. The hostess then found another table for us, in a room that was dated and crowded. We acquiesced. Once dinner arrived, my wife had average filet mignon and below average lobster tail. I had their "special" ribs that are supposed to be world-famous, and they were about a 3 of 5 stars. Slightly smokey flavor, cooked well, slight bit of char, and a good basic sauce. But not much meat. Clearly the House of Embers was looking to be the House of 1000% Profit Margin on NYE. My daughter's meal was so lacking I can't even remember what it was. I realize that this review focuses more on the "experience" than the food, but Yelp asks "how would you rate your experience?" Well, the experience was bad. With the perspective that I have some nerve narrating first-world problems while most of the world would love to have my "bad" experience, I'm addressing it for what it is: I paid for one thing, I got another. And the "other" was a big disappointment. Next time I'll try the Del Bar and hope for better.

I would have preferred to show up earlier, as we had no choice to bring our 5 and 3 year old that we were vacationing with. All of the staff were extremely friendly. We ordered the Nueskes bacon appetizer: very giant pieces of bacon. While tasty, it was still a bit fatty and I think I honestly prefer regular bacon. We both ordered a 12 oz Filet mignon. I got the Bleu cheese crust and my husband got the Parmesan crust. It was quite a thick crust on top and definitely added to the experience. While it was quite good, I'm not sure I'd say it was the best steak I've ever had, and certainly didn't seem worth $80. The sides were ginormously portioned, even when we got the half side of mashed potatoes for "two" we didn't finish. While we planned on going out for free dinner with the kids afterward, the kids meal prices were not outrageous so we just ordered their meals at the same time. Both dinners came with fries and fruit, so seemed like a decent value. The cocktails were reasonably priced (around $15 each). I would have liked to try more items, but my husband probably would have lost his cool if we spent even more money. The ambiance is nice, but we spent the majority of the time trying to shush our children and not disturb other guests. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, but not quite worth the price tag.

I really enjoy the pizza specifically. But, on today's visit I noticed something very disappointing- they are not calculating tip suggestions correctly and I don't know if this is new or I never noticed it before. The universal standard is to calculate tips on the pre-tax amount, as you don't tip on government taxes. However, some businesses, which appear to include MooseJaw, are dong the unethical practice of calculating the tip amount on the after-tax total amount in an attempt to squeeze a little more money out. In fairness, we are not talking about a lot of money here, but it's sneaky and wrong for someone who already plans to tip a generous 20% for example which is what I typically do, and they are actually tipping even more. I really hope they change this deceptive practice. And adding in the fine print that you are doing this doesn't make it okay as people don't read this. When they see a tip suggestion, they trust it's accurate. Food and service are amazing, but this unethical practice should stop.
