We won't be back to this restaurant again. Three people In our party were mildly satisfied with their meal but none of them said they would go back. I hated my meal except for the salad and breadsticks. When I told my server I did not like my meal - it didn't taste good and the chicken was tough - he said and did nothing. After our plates were cleared, he brought the bill without even offering dessert. We paid way too much for our ordinary meals and one awful meal and were treated poorly by our server who we all considered to be arrogant and unhelpful. It was not a good dining experience. So take your chances. If I were you, I would go to Moose Jaws which is a great place! read more

Expensive and not very good. Spent $100 on three people and that was no appetizers, no desserts and only 1 of us had a soda, the other 2 had water. The taste was bland and portions were small for what they are charging. And the bread sticks were definitely frozen. We left hungry. I didn't like the idea of having 4 different severs either. Was on the annoying side. Had to literally protect my daughters plate of food. While she was still eating, 2 waiters came up and tried to take her plate. The one came up while my daughter was putting a forkful of food in her mouth and grabbed the plate to take it before my daughter could even swallow, I had to grab the plate back. My friends and I were excited to go out for one nice meal during our trip to Wisconsin Dells. Our experience at Sarento's began by being treated like a bunch of lepers by the clique of high school hostesses for not having a reservation. Once we got to our table, we were extremely confused by the seventeen different servers who were tending to us randomly throughout our meal. We received side salads (consisting of chunks of iceberg lettuce, extremely thick dressing, and onions that resulted in heartburn) with our entrees. My friend had her unfinished side salad taken away without being asked if she was finished with it. Our waiters were attentive, but the hostesses were more focused on their conversation and flirtation with the delivery driver rather than the needs of the paying customers. Great service, wait staff was prompt and very respectful. Chicken parmesan was good. Bruschetta, bread sticks very good as well. Bar is classy and bar staff was very attentive. We had a group of over 50 people and they took care of everything in a timely fashion. I will return and try another entree. read more

It's unfortunate the negative reviews that some people have written for Sarento's. We went on the busiest night out... Valentine's Day. We didn't make a reservation as we found Sarento's just by driving around the Dells during dinnertime. Needless to say, we aren't the best planners. Anyhow, the hostess seemed just a tad stuck up for our taste, but that is the only negative remark of this place that I can make. We were told that there was a 40 minute wait, which we expected given that it was Valentine's Day. So we took a seat, and just around the 30 minute mark we were seated at our table. We were served breadsticks even before we ordered, and our service came from 3 different people, all of whom were helpful and quick in taking care of us. I ordered the marinated salmon, and my girlfriend went for the shrimp marinara. My dish was easily some of the best salmon I've had, and was served on a bed on penne with an Alfredo and marinara sauce. The salmon fillet was huge, and was easily big enough to share a few forkfuls. My girlfriend's dish was very good as well and it came with 6 or seven jumbo shrimp. Both of our dishes came with salad as well, which were very good too. My only regret is that I didn't have room for a cannoli, but perhaps next time, as there will definitely be one. read more

We are seasonal snow birds that live in Lake Delton. We went into Sarentos a few weeks back with a group of 14 for there fish fry which be do about every month during the summer. After going home the next week my Mother in Law told us that after paying on there credit card for there bill another separate $20 charge came through. This charge was supposedly for someone else in the group that Sorentos claims didnt pay there bill. This is false (The waiters/waitresses should be able to handle this part before you leave right?) but how dare you make charges on someones CC without there signature and authorization. This will be handled on the CC level and also with the Wisconsin Dells Police getting involved for fraud. We are in a gated community with 400+ units. You can bet this story will be told here to everyone and most if not all will never step foot into your restaurant again. If your trying to ruin your business your on the fast track. read more

Well I ate there on a Thursday Sept. 3rd at around 7pm with my wife and 2 kids. The ambience is the only reason I give any stars. It stops right there. I am not exaggerating when I day the food is so much better at Olive Garden and that is not saying much. I had the veal parm. It was like the frozen singles you would get at your local grocery store with some plastic cheese melted over it and some non-flavorful marinara sauce. My wife and Ineach got a drink. The server did NOT come by once to ask us if we needed another drink. Our water glasses were filled once and then the girl pulled a Houdini and disappeared. As we were paying our bill the same girl was standing over our table like a hungry wolf just waiting to clear the table. So let's sum it up her.....food was just horrible, service sucked, ambience not to bad. If this joke of an Italian restaurant was not right next door to Wilderness resort it would have closed years ago. Stay away, make the drive into town and pick any other restaurant but this dump. read more

My boyfriend and I chose this restaurant since Carvelli's was closed. We were impressed with the decor and had trouble deciding between many delicious sounding entrees. We had the bruschetta appetizer and I thought it was great, though not as flavorful as it should have been. The breadsticks were excellent, but when we requested more, the server never brought any. We had to ask another server for more and he promptly brought them to our table. The salads that came with the meal were good, but I asked for my dressing on the side and it came spilled ALL over my salad. The dressing's strong vinegar flavor completely overwhelmed my salad. I ordered the veal sicilianio and it was good, but for the price I thought there could have been more veggies. It came with a rosemary risotto that was excellent. That was my favorite part of the meal. My boyfriend's chicken alfredo was outstanding. We both finished our drinks and were waiting for our waiter to come back so we could order more. However, he didn't come back and we had to order them from another server who had just sat someone at a table nearby. We asked for our dishes to be wrapped up along with my risotto and the rest of our breadsticks. We were expecting four separate boxes, but the busgirl returned with one small box and one large one. We opened them to inspect our leftovers and found my food stuffed into a small box, risotto and all. This completely ruined the creaminess of the risotto...it was not meant to be mixed with a red sauce. My boyfriend's alfredo was mixed with the leftover breadsticks. We complained to the manager and recieved another order of risotto and a free dessert. Overall, we were not impressed with the service at all. They were very apologizing, but there were just too many mistakes for my taste. read more

Being a returning customer I expected my second experience to be as good if not better. I am extremely upset and disappointed to say I placed an order for carryout, the individual took my order, asked what our room number was and where we were staying since we were requesting the water park package. After placing my order, I was told the food would be ready in 30-40 min. Upon my husbands arrival at the restaurant he was told the order was sent out for delivery. Given that I had ordered mozzarella sticks, we needed to the food to stay as fresh as possible and were expecting for it to Arrive fairly quickly. I called the restaurant to inquire as to why my husband has already arrived back to the room, and the food still has not been delivered. The girl did not have any positive information or resolution to provide me with. She had no ability to communicate with the driver and the food had arrived more then an hour later, very frustrating with small kids in the picture. She told me that it was a busy night with only two drivers delivering food, you can imagine my frustration since we requested the food for carry out to simply avoid this problem to begin with. I am very unhappy with the service provided to us and will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

This is not a family-friendly Resturant, if you have 5 month old. Our waiter was great the food ok not the best pizza. If you are a family you are seated in the lower part of the resturant, ok, but if you baby starts to cry and you try to walk to near where they can hear you upstairs they ask you to take your child outside in the 80 degree heat, not to the washroom or somewhere inside but outside. I was with family friends and the mother didn't even get to eat her food. Then the manager which should be fired, and I do own my business, came to our table and started lying about having complaints from where we were sitting, even though none of the waiters knew what was going on. No one in the main area where they seat people with children were upset it must of been up in the bar area, which is upstairs, they didn't like to hear children crying. But don't say you are a family friendly resturant and send all children downstairs and if your to loud tell you to take you child outside. And for the manager don't lie to customers when they know what was said to them and you tell them different, we are were not stupid. And he wasn't even sorry, our waiter was, he had no clue what was going on, think about it if someone downstairs complained they would be the first to know not the hostest, from upstairs. read more
