I enjoy dining at Sharku from time to time and this location is the better one in Hudson County. The staff is always friendly and helpful . My fav is the chicken teriyaki of course but i do enjoy their sushi which is made fresh and their dumplings and spring rolls are great additions to any meal. The food is always consistent but I went yesterday during the heatwave. They did not have any AC blowing. The air was completely stagnant and I felt bad for the employees who had to work in those conditions especially in the kitchen. Management should have closed until they fixed the AC. They also had no ice in their soda machine. read more

I usually have Sarku from the mall and finally decided to try this location out since it's so much closer to me. I was not disappointed! The inside was really clean and neat. The seats were blocked off so you can't sit inside. Ordering was quick and easy. I got the Chicken Teriyaki combo with white rice, veggies, 4 mini California sushi rolls and a can of Sprite (it was supposed to be a fountain drink). Unfortunately the fountain machine wasn't working so I feel like I should not have been charged for a smaller sized drink though. The prices were normal. The food tasted great. It was the same taste as the other Sarku. The only downside was the portions were pretty small compared to the other location. I was left wanting more! I'll definitely go back. read more

I visited with my son 6/1/25. The restaurant always looks clean and the staff are welcoming. However, my son and I experienced horrific stomach pain and etc. after eating the basic meal: teriaki chicken, white rice and stir fry vegetables. Please be careful everyone. read more

So I recently tried out Sarku in Bayonne. I am familiar with their location in the Newport mall, so I was expecting this to taste very similar. And I was correct. This was just as good. I went with a chicken and shrimp teriyaki combo and some spring rolls. Both the chicken teriyaki as well as the shrimp teriyaki were equally delicious. Adding the extra sauce they give you on the side makes all the difference. The spring rolls were a nice side to have too. Overall this was some great tasting food. Something different to try for a meal indeed. read more

I really enjoy the chicken teriyaki platter with white rice and vegetables. I usually get the spring rolls or dumplings as the side dish. Like most food places the prices are high but we all know why that is. You can only get rewards points if you order via the app. read more

So I've been going to bayonne Sarku Since they opened being that I've work at Lowe's w no complaints or problems. I spend lots of my hard earn money in that place. And for these past couple of months this young chubby kind of tall girl w black hair & glasses has been very unprofessional, rude & mean!! Just basically being a all around B**ch! So the other day I went to purchase my to go sushi & she wouldn't even bag my sushi. So at that moment another customer was standing there & I mentioned how I get treated from that one imperticular girl everytime I'm in there & the random customer stated how she's a "nasty b**ch" & at the moment I felt relief knowing I wasn't the only paying customer going through this w this one girl! And w that being said I don't trust her handling my food! I will being going to purchase more sushi today & praying she's not working today. P.s if I go through the same miss treatment today I will be back to tell you guys my experience once again & I will continue until something is done because I'm really fed up! It's been a while since I've had Sarku and when I saw it on the way to my friend's house, I had to stop by. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki to-go. I finished my entire meal in one sitting, which is very rare for me. I don't know what it was, it might have been the fried rice, but this location seemed to have cooked everything to the perfect consistency and temperature. The food is excellent, real, authentic Japanese recipe. They really stick to the original Japanese recipe. The price is reasonable. I order thru Uber Eats delivery service and they're always on-time. The food preparation is quick without compromising quality and quantity. There's another competitor with the same franchise name in Jersey City. But It's not even closer. Ordered via door dash and the restaurant actually charged me for every item and delivered half because they forgot to put it in the bag as they explained, and then refused to either deliver the missing items or even give us a refund!!! Food is ok. Decent for a take out hibachi place but the amount of yum yum sauce in their to go containers is laughable. The spicy sauce is filled to the brim but yum yum you get no more than 25% in the same size container for your whole meal and it's 50cent for another one. It's almost insulting. The other location, I believe in Kearny is much more generous for their portions. Oh and 2 packets of plum sauce. read more

Hello I'm a regular customer at the Sarku in Bayonne, NJ and today I placed an order for a chicken teriyaki just a couple minutes ago. The problem is that I asked for extra meat. When I saw what I had received I asked the lady who took my order was I given extra meat. She then says they must've forgot. She asked the gentleman who was cooking to add the extra meat and when he went to do it another gentleman cooking said no. I gave it already even when the cashier said he didn't he said he did. I then asked for a manager and was told there was no manager there. Then I received an apology from the nice lady that took my order. I never received such bad customer service at this establishment before. I lost my appetite and I don't see myself returning anytime in the future. Thank you and have a nice day. read more
