Chicken teriyaki white rice in veggies
    Estella S.

Been going here for awhile and realized I never shared the this mall food goodness. Chicken cooked in front of you so nice n fresh. Flavors good with ample portions to have the next day. Decent menu choices so if you're in Cerritos mall... give it a try.

Sarku Japan is my favorite shopping mall food spot in the Bay Area and here in Southern California! The line gets crowded here for a reason and they cook everything in front of you! I always get the Chicken Teriyaki ($9.49) but you need to get the double chicken for $2 more! They absolutely load it with chicken and at the end of the line, be sure to ask the cook for more sauce. This is a must! It comes with rice and also vegetables but you can sub it with noodles or just do rice! I think its a extra charge, not 100% sure on that. The chicken quality is not the best but it tastes good enough for me haha. It's a lot of food but worth it for the price. I'm happy to know I have a local Sarku Japan to visit!

Friendly service and tasty food! Food is cooked in front of you and quickly served. Great portions as well

Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki Combo with Veggies & Noodles! Dang they HOOKED IT UP! Total was $11.76 after tax

They HOOKED IT UP here for my teriyaki chicken & shrimp noodles & veggies for under $11! I ordered, found a seat, then my food was ready, piping hot! You can't beat the price & quantity and quality of their food in this mall. I looked over and saw ONE SLICE of NY pizza for like $12? Mongolian BBQ for $15? Some precooked Hawaiian chicken for $15? No thanks. Sarku beats them all for mall food here.

This place hands down is my all time favorite teriyaki place. The chicken is always cooked to order and is super delicious. They specialty is their teriyaki chicken meal! LOCATION: It is in the Cerritos Mall in the food court across from Panda Express. Seating is pretty easy even on the busier days. The cafeteria is huge and there are plenty of seating. Unless you have a big party, maybe 6 or more people, you shouldn't have trouble finding seats. FOOD: I will admit their portions are inconsistent. I've dined here maybe 20 times and portions are always different. Although there is always enough chicken to get a bang for your buck. Their teriyaki meal comes with steamed vegetables, white rice, and chicken. They have other food options but this is the top notch stuff hehe. I am pretty sure you can get the rice replaced with other sides. And when they call up your number to get the food you can also ask them to put an extra scoop of their special teriyaki sauce on top for free. You can also ask for a cup, not bottled, of water for free. Their vegetable spring rolls are also huge and yummy. If you read this far here's a tip, on Uber Eats they sometimes have a buy one get one free deal of their teriyaki chicken, it's amazing. You can order for pickup so whether you're walking around the mall or want to pick some up from your home you're getting a steal deal. You can also order it for delivery but the delivery fees hurt!

Chicken Teriyaki with noodles and veggies

I've been to Cerritos Mall before, but it was my first time trying Sarku Japan. The food was delicious. I noticed that this spot was a little busier than other establishments in the food court, which made me want to try them. Their menu was straightforward, with three different protein, noodle, and veggie combinations. We went with the best seller: Chicken Teriyaki with noodles and veggies for $9.75 and added a regular-sized Coke for $14.11 with tax. Our food was cooked before us, and we waited about 10 minutes for our order. Personally, the plate was perfect for two people, considering the amount of food they served us. The chicken was flavorful, but, most importantly, it was cooked perfectly. The noodles and veggies were also delicious, which went well with the chicken. As you can tell from our picture, we devoured the plate - that's how tasty it was. In conclusion, I signed up for their reward program because the next time I come to Cerritos Mall, I'll be coming here to get a bite to eat again.

I honestly can't understand why this restaurant has only three stars. Their food is always fresh and tasty and cooked to order. The cooks behind the counter are always a pleasure to deal with.

Beef and shrimp plate with extra chicken always hit well.

This place is jamming and always a line! I come here for the beef/shrimp combo plate $10.99 and add extra chicken for $2 bucks on my meal. Everything is cooked to order which i like. The staff is very friendly even when i messed up my own order and forgot to add items they corrected it for me. I think its the best food place in that food court. Overall the food is great.

Got the plate with chicken/beef/noodles/veggies. Paid about $13. The people were nice, friendly and approachable. They offered test strips of chicken. Was really good, a lot of food. Got our moneys worth. My toddler loved the noodles. Was fast. And asked for extra sauce and hot sauce at no extra charge. Will be back.

SARKU JAPAN / NORI JAPAN - BREA MALL 8.53 Review: Solid chicken Teriyaki. Usually I go here If I go to the Brea Mall. This spot always doesn't do me dirty and gives a good amount of chicken. I wish they had a better rice to chicken ratio though, sometimes they give u mountains of rice but no chicken. The chicken here is cooked well and the sauce always taste scrumptious. Thanks for feeding me since I was like in first grade. Never misses here! The price here is solid its like $10 for this giant box of chicken teriyaki. The noodle stir-fry looks pretty gas too. Definitely recommend. Solid Place. Solid Food. Sold Life. Cool Workers. W samples.

Chicken Terriyaki. It comes with terriyaki chicken, steamed white rice, and grilled vegetables. DELICIOUS!!!

There are several Sarku Japan locations in Southern California, and they are usually located at big shopping malls' food courts. I've been coming to this restaurant for ten years, and this is my favorite place for chicken terriyaki. Their chicken terriyaki is very different than other terriyaki places. They cook the chicken on hot iron plate well known as teppanyaki, so the chicken is always hot, and very soft inside. Their chicken terriyaki plate is very affordable in price. They serve good amount of food for ten dollars. If you are looking for best chicken terriyaki in a affordable price then Sarku Japan is a best place for you.

Big serving, a little bland for teriyaki.
    Fernando A.

Ok, so we're talking about the food court in a mall, so my expectations aren't so high. However, we live around the corner from Golden Bowl in LB which for me is 5 stars for take out fast food teriyaki, so that is the bar I'm comparing Sarku against. First off, Sarku is tepanyaki style, so it's cooked on a griddle rather than char grilled. It just came out rather bland, even when he added extra teriyaki sauce. The serving was very big though, enough for two meals for me. The second time around, I threw in some pickled jalapeños and some sriracha sauce, and it was pretty good that way. Still, Golden Bowl rules them all.

But given that it was $13 for the Ramen, it's actually not that back compared to the other places in Cerritos at $18 which specializes in Ramen. The food came out quite quickly, but the waiters never asked once how everything was because I probably would've returned the baked scallop roll. This your standard Japanese sushi spot if you want to hit the cravings. But nothing worth checking out if you're traveling or visiting.

Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I've had at a BCD Tofu location. Right away, one of our rice bowls never came out. We mentioned it to our server and she said she'd bring it over, but she never did. We kept waiting while everyone else was already eating. Then came the part that honestly grossed all of us out. We had stacked all of our dirty side dish plates together to help clear space on the table. When we asked for refills on the banchan, instead of bringing fresh plates, the server literally unstacked the dirty used plates from the pile and started refilling those same dirty plates. That felt extremely unsanitary and honestly like something a health inspector or corporate would not be okay with at all. To make things worse, when we asked for a water refill, the server spilled water all over my Crocs and socks. Accidents happen, but there was barely any apology or urgency after it happened. The floor was also super dirty and the entire restaurant just felt poorly maintained. Between the careless service, lack of cleanliness, and unsanitary handling of dishes, this location seriously needs improvement. We came in excited to finally have a comforting meal after a long weekend and left completely disappointed.
