Double salmon with brown rice
Carmen D.

My go-to poke spot. Location has plenty of parking and is fairly easy to get to. What I love is the consistency in flavor every time we visit. The poke tastes fresh and love the add-ons you can include in your bowl. Service is typically quick.

Small double scoop salmon, half brown rice and half spring mix.

I believe Poke Bar is now Wow Poke, might've changed ownership/management. However I think everything still tastes the same, fresh, and great quality ingredients. When you first start, you grab a menu paper and fill out what you want in your order which I like. You mark what all the ingredients you want in your bowl which is super convenient! I ordered the small bowl with salmon for my protein it comes with two scoops, half brown rice, and half salad. They are very generous with the portions! Service was great, everyone was very nice and helpful. They make your bowl to order! Ambiance is nice, lots of indoor seating and also outdoor seating as well!

It was my first time back since they rebranded from Poke Bar to Wow Poke, and I was curious to see if anything had changed. Happy to say the freshness is still on point. The fish tastes clean and buttery, and everything behind the counter looks vibrant and well-prepped. Price-wise, it seems to have stayed about the same, though the portions felt slightly smaller than what I remember from before. That said, the quality definitely hasn't dipped. I especially love the addition of multiple new sauces -- it adds more ways to customize your bowl and really elevate the flavor profile. The combinations hit all the right notes, from savory to spicy to a little sweet if that's your vibe. Service is quick and efficient, making it an easy go-to when you want something fresh without a long wait. Overall, still a solid poke spot that delivers on flavor and quality.

Wow Poké! Stopped by Wow Poké a little before noon and had a great experience. When you walk in, you have two ordering options: you can grab a paper sheet, write down exactly what you want, and hand it to them, or order Subway-style while they build your bowl in front of you. Super easy and efficient. The restaurant was very clean and organized. It was empty when I arrived, but within minutes more people started coming in, so I can tell this place fills up quickly around lunch. Portion options are clear: Small: 2 proteins Medium: 3 proteins Large: 4 proteins I ordered the medium bowl with salmon, shrimp, and spicy tuna. My base was salad and brown rice, topped with seaweed salad, crab, masago, cucumber, avocado, seaweed flakes, and sauce. They have a wide variety of sauces to choose from -- I usually go with ponzu, but I decided to try their house-made sauce and I'm really glad I did. It was delicious and tied everything together perfectly. I also grabbed a coconut water. Total came out to about $20, which felt fair for the quality and portions. Service was fast, I was in and out in under 10 minutes. This spot feels more like a grab-and-go place than somewhere you'd linger, though there is seating if you want to eat there. On a less busy day, it would be nice to sit and enjoy your bowl. Overall, fresh ingredients, quick service, and a solid lunch option if you're in the Cerritos area. I'd definitely come back.

Poke bowl medium size with 2 protein

Great poke that's fresh with generous portions and good variety of toppings. Seating available inside/outside and written order form required. I've been coming here for a few years and definitely one of my favorites in the area. I usually order 2 protein (salmon/spicy tuna), salad/brown rice, with several toppings including seaweed salad, ginger, edamame, cucumber, onions, and sauces. Good service and usually take order to go!

Great poke with great selections. Fresh poke and salad greens . They even have vegan options. Freshly made to order. Service is quick. Clean areas to fine in. This used to be called poke Bar.

I wanted to bring up an issue I had with one of your staff members today. I asked for seaweed that was forgotten, politely and the response was rude. The staff member repeated 'I put seaweed in there' multiple times and asked for extra $1. Mind you he shook his head in a petty manner while saying it. A coworker later corrected the mistake and gave it to me for free. As a regular customer, I'd appreciate more understanding and better customer service in the future." its okay to forget and be wrong sometimes and I wouldn't choose to be emotional over a forgotten order

Hard to speak over the loud music, maybe that's why there's an optional form to fill out. Two workers were smiling and smirking with each other. Did I say something funny? It was a mediocre portion. Think it depends on the worker that day. Needs more sauce. Overall, not the best poke spot.

My shrimp bowl was good and filling. Would purchase again.

Had a taste for something healthy and fresh so we tried out Wow Poke. The bowl items looked fresh and well stocked but the ordering process was not ideal. The servers were talking to each other and not very helpful. The ordering sheet was a little overwhelming so I was hoping they would offer some assistance but no. I asked a few questions and ordered. They seemed a little slow but the food was good. We ordered 3 bowls and was happy with the taste. The place was newly updated with bright colors and signage. However, there were so many handwritten notes on the doors and walls about what you could or could not do. Don't touch this. Don't wear this inside, etc. Not very welcoming in my opinion. Food alone was a 4 but service was a 3.

Conflicted writing this review as Poke Bar Cerritos has long been my favorite local pick for poke. What I really enjoyed was their customizable selection of seafood, veggies, and sauces, allowing you to have a flavor bomb of a rice bowl. I usually get a large bowl with salmon and tuna with fire ponzu and all of the sides (crab, corn, jalapeno, cucumber, fried garlic, fried onions) I could fit in the bowl. Two issues cause me to downgrade my review to 3 stars: First, I feel that the fish freshness has been inconsistent. Second, they've kind of changed the order process where you choose what you want by paper. They're pretty consistent with getting everything you ask for on your order, but I liked being able to order it by pointing and choosing what I wanted. It's a small difference, but it made my experience better. I still feel that Poke Bar a decent option for poke bowls in the area and I still like the customizability of flavors in their rice bowls; however, I just expect more from their freshness if it's a place that I'd enthusiastically recommend.

Worth the try and yes I went there again, it's just to good. If you love seafood you would love the freshness of this. come down and try it.

Large poke bowl

This poke spot stands out for its quality and presentation. The selection of fish is excellent, and everything tastes fresh without being mixed together in a sloppy way--you can really enjoy each ingredient. There's a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it comfortable whether you're dining in or taking your time. Portions per scoop could be a bit more generous, but overall they're fair for the price. Service was just okay--likely because it was busy during my visit--but the food more than made up for it. A solid choice if you're looking for fresh poke done right.

Spicy Salmon poke bowl is the best with sushi rice.... Hands down!!!
Kimi B.

Ask the Community - WOW POKE

Will they ever take online or phone orders?

Yes online order is working

Are they open? I keep calling and no answer

Yes they are open. I went last week but wasn't a fan of their salmon. They changed the way they cut them leaving some part of the skin on and it's just not appetizing anymore.

Which sauces do not come with sugar? Asking for a friend who's doing keto :)

You can ask for soy sauce and sriracha

Um...is the address wrong? I had to google it to get here.

Address is correct but some how because of 1/2 at the end of address number throws some navigation off

Can I order online?

The website says "coming soon"

For a party of four, we ordered: SHRIMP LOVER COMBO, LOBSTER ROLL, SIDE OF RICE, BASKET OF SEASONED FRIES, AND MAD DOG XXX SAUCE on the side. Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat. Tip: Sign up to their text newsletter at the restaurant and enjoy a free basket of fries. BTW, their website is down. :(

I also super enjoy the $1 shots of soju. It's 6 shots max per person, but that puts you at a nice buzz for your meal. This was a fun experience even though it was a hot day…read more There were a lot of greeters that explained how it works... We tok a picture of our table and then went up to order and the food was brought out to us. We only waited about 15 minutes before it got there and it was delicious Me and my hubby shared the shrimp plate it came with potatoes and it was delish! Our friends however ordered the works and it took about 40 minutes to get theirs... something about the lobster tail takes 30-40 minutes to cook:/ by the time they got it we were super done with our lunch. Our hubbia got these huge bottles of beer. It took them about another 40 minutes to finish. I had an agua de sandia from one of the carts... it was MUCH needed after a night of FUN at the concert. We ended up renting one of the bikes and rode it up and down the area. There are a lot of nice restaurants to come very soon! We need to schedule a trip to go back out to the LBC!

Sometimes It's Not About the Food... It's About the People…read more Maybe we spoke a little too soon after our last visit... because only three weeks later, hubby and I decided to give San Pedro Fish Market another chance. Looking back now, I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Danny, who has been part of the San Pedro Fish Market family for 19 years. Within minutes, he gave us a sneak peek from the outside of what's to come with the brand-new development expected to open in 2028. The future expansion will span roughly 55,000 square feet and include exciting additions like pickleball courts, a Ferris wheel, and many of the eateries people have loved over the years--just with a fresh, modern twist. Listening to Danny share stories from nearly two decades here was honestly inspiring. One story that truly stayed with us was when he shared that San Pedro Fish Market is where he met his wife. That alone speaks volumes about what this place represents. It isn't just somewhere people come to eat--it's where memories are made, friendships begin, families are built, and lives are forever changed. You could hear the pride in his voice as he talked about how many lives have been touched by this place. It made me realize that for so many people, you simply can't mention San Pedro without thinking about the Fish Market. It's become part of the city's identity. We were also welcomed by Cinderella--yes, that's really her name!--who is also the current Employee of the Month. She's been here for over 30 years, and her kindness immediately made us feel at home. She shared some of her favorite menu items with us, and you could genuinely feel how much heart she has for this place. Employees like Danny and Cinderella are exactly what make businesses special. They're the ones who create lasting memories long after the meal is over. Now onto the food! Seafood Tray Rating: 9.8/10 This visit was night and day compared to our last one. Our seafood tray came out in about 15 minutes, piping hot, incredibly fresh, and absolutely packed with flavor. It honestly reminded us why San Pedro Fish Market became so iconic in the first place. We enjoyed the fried tilapia, large scallops, baby octopus, head-on shrimp, crab legs, mussels, sausage, corn, potatoes, garlic bread, and all the delicious vegetables. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and cooked beautifully. It honestly beats every seafood spot we've tried recently, and this visit completely redeemed our previous experience. And then there was the fried calamari... I honestly have a new standard for fried calamari now. It was unbelievably tender, juicy, lightly crispy, and not rubbery whatsoever. We've ordered calamari at countless restaurants over the years, and this has officially become the one every future calamari order will be compared against. For drinks, hubby enjoyed a refreshing Modelo Michelada, while I cooled off with their Peach Margarita featuring their house tequila, chamoy, and Tajín. On a hot and humid Fourth of July afternoon, it absolutely hit the spot. It packed quite a punch, but it was delicious! The highlight of our visit, however, was meeting Scott, the General Manager. We spent time talking with him about his 35 years in the hospitality industry and his journey with San Pedro Fish Market. What stood out most wasn't just his experience--it was his passion. Listening to him speak about the future of this place, the people behind it, and the history that has made it so iconic reminded me that San Pedro Fish Market has never just been about seafood. It's about generations. It's about family traditions. It's about people creating memories together. Nothing will ever replace the original 65 years of history that made San Pedro Fish Market what it is today. Change is never easy, especially for a place with so much history behind it. But after hearing the stories, seeing the vision, and meeting the people who continue to pour their hearts into this place every single day, I truly believe this is simply the beginning of a new chapter. I cannot wait to see what 2028 brings when the new San Pedro Fish Market opens its doors. I have no doubt that new memories, new traditions, and new generations of families will continue to gather here for years to come. Thank you to Danny, Cinderella, Scott, and everyone who made us feel so welcomed. Your kindness, passion, and genuine hospitality reminded us that the best restaurants aren't remembered just because of the food... They're remembered because of the people. Until we meet again very soon... Happy Eats, and Happy Fourth of July!

She did not let me down as we walked in and noticed how truly authentic it was going to look. Chinese decor on the walls and boxes of restaurant supples in the corners. Just as it should be. The bonus was that they had a TV showing the NBA Finals when we arrived. Pretty nice touch and in the back of the restaurant so as not to distract everyone. We went with a couple of our favorite dishes to run along and the Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. Crispy pieces of chicken and soft noodles and veggies to go with it. We chose to get Mongolian Beef and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy celery, green onions and decent sized pieces of meat in a terrific sauce. I would love to try to replicate that. My wife wanted a shrimp dish so she ordered the honey walnut and it even looked good to me when they brought it. She loves egg rolls, so she got a four piece and said they were pretty good. My biggest wow of the visit was their vegetable fried rice. MY GOD. I dont know what they season or flavor it with, but every fork full of rice that i ate, it was this sense of flavor that reminded me of butter or something else. We had plenty to share, which is always a plus. The restaurant has a nice family-style vibe, but it's a lot smaller inside than it looks from the outside. If it's busy, it can feel pretty cramped, and you'll probably have to squeeze between tables and chairs to get around. If it's not crowded though, it's much easier to move around. The service was fast, which I appreciated. The only downside was the food runner who brought out our meals. He wasn't very friendly and kind of just set the plates down wherever there was space, even on top of the plates we were already using. It felt a little careless and took away from an otherwise good experience. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight, but because of that experience with the service, it'll probably be a while before I come back.
